Last 3 visits, I was not able to bring my glasses home as the lenses were not lined up right. Had to look into the lower right corner to see up ahead of me for both lenses. The reason was always the same.....my exam was done on a different time of day then when I picked them up. Never had an issue before the other doctor retired. read more

Bad experience. Tried them again since the original Optometrist retired. 1. I was given a test for macular degeneration but was not told I was getting it. I would have remembered, aware of the seriousness. 2. I was not told the reason for it, the cost of it, or the results. 3. When I received the bill, I ask for the records, which stated that they gave me the wrong test before correcting it. 4. After consulting my PCP she got me an appointment with an ophthalmologist who reported there was no reason for the test and nothing to be considered. 5. Not only was this test and the cost unnecessary but typically a refraction test which I paid additionally for is usually covered in a standard eye exam. I conclude this is a semi-scam operation. Choose the Dartmouth unit for accuracy and lower cost. read more

Went to Eyeworks on Nov 27 to get new lenses for my old frames. Salesperson/Tech pushed me to get new frames, touting a 15% discount. I said no. I like my current frames and they are in great condition. She said OK but I'd have to leave my current frames with them for several weeks while they made my new lenses, and no guarantee that they wouldn't break them. I said no. She said "that's why we offer the discount on new frames". I walked out. NO SALE. read more

They are completely impossible to schedule an appointment with, My daughter has been wearing broken glasses for weeks and they will not see her. It took weeks to schedule an appointment. Really lacking on service. read more

Takes months to get an appointment, they are one of the few places that do eye exams for 3 year olds. They ask you to let them know when your going to be late which I did, ten minutes late, traffic caused me to be five more minutes late. doesnt matter because they didn't even look until I got there, they just canceled the appointment and told me there's a ten minute cap, which would have been fine if they had ever let me know in advance they had plenty of opportunities. I work for a living, so I have to use another day of work and my son has to wait months more for an appointment, which I'm going to get somewhere else. read more

Very expensive and questionable billing practices. They told me they accepted my insurance, but after billing my medical rather than vision insurance, I was informed that they do not accept any vision insurance. They provided me with an invoice. I paid for CL + co-pay. Six months later they billed me for the amount not covered by insurance (the entire rest of my bill) and added an additional $50. The billing person is never in office and does not respond to their voicemail. Total bill is about $400 for a standard annual vision exam. Never would have booked an appointment if they'd been upfront about total cost and non-acceptance of insurance. read more

Eyeworks has always been awesome to me and my whole family. They are friendly, knowledgable and professional. They are also very PROGRESSIVE, which I feel is super important. Every time I go to Eyeworks, there are new and improved products and methods that they share and explain to me. This makes me confident that I'm in good hands. I also love their selection of eyewear, and although the high end brands can be expensive, I appreciate that they offer all of the top designer names (in addition to the normal and lower priced brands). Wow! This staff is incredibly kind! My husband and I have an elderly friend who we were taking out to dinner last night. When we stopped by to pick him up, he was sitting with a pair of broken glasses, unable to see. We suspect he might've sat on them, as the frame was warped and a lens popped out. The poor guy (in his 90s) couldn't see a thing. He lives at Bentley Commons and had been without his glasses for a couple days. We tried to get an eyeglass repair kit from them, but no luck. We, on a lark, decided to try Keene Eyeworks (late on a Friday before a holiday!) to see if we could catch someone who might have better luck reshaping the frames and inserting the lens than we did. The staff was AMAZING. The receptionist was so kind when I walked in and explained the problem. One woman in particular on the staff (I didn't catch her name but wish I had!) was just an absolute GEM. We brought our friend in, and he is quite unsteady on his feet lately, and she helped guide him to a chair, and proceeded to have the greatest conversation with him (and us!) while we waited to be seen. Robin, the optician, was incredibly kind and cautioned us that she may not be able to fix the frames but she'd give it her best shot (they were fragile and quite warped, so she let us know they might break!)....and she came back to us only minutes later with a now-beautiful pair of frames! She managed to fix them - and got the lens back in place. Our friend, who's been struggling with a number of recent health challenges, was SO appreciative to have his vision back! They also did not charge us for ANY of this, and, boy, we were grateful every step of the way!! Thanks to ALL at Keene Eyeworks for your KINDNESS! We will always remember it!! read more

Kudos and thanks to Becca and the staff at EyeWorks in Keene, NH. My son broke his glasses just before leaving Fort Collins to come to Keene and had to wear his contacts. Becca found frames that his existing lenses fit into and got him in for an eye exam as well while they were short staffed. Good work! read more

AAHHHMAZING. They've worked through issues with both my husband (he's got a difficult prescription) and me through glasses and contacts and we're both happy. Yea, the online places may be cheap. I have some of those glasses and they're okay but you get what you pay for. In other words great for a $40 pair of prescriptions just don't expect perfection. But what you don't get is the personal service. Things like noticing (and measuring) that one eye is higher than the other (can't do that with those online places and it *does* make a difference), or swapping out a contact because it's not right. Yes you'll pay more. But the end product you get is far and away superior to anything I've encountered on or offline. read more
