Everything they did was fantastic. THI is run and staffed by courteous, highly competent and communicative people. If you want to get what you pay for from people who clearly take pride in doing their job well, contract with THI. The quality of the work they did was excellent - better in several cases than we were expecting. The on-site staff were super courteous, obviously loved what they do and care a lot about doing it right. Total Home quotes prices up front and strives to stick to that plan. Our project had some cost changes, but none were really surprises, because we were advised up front of places that things could get more (or less) complicated, and when that did happen, THI always talked with us about how to proceed before making any changes to plan. You have to sign off on contract cost changes. Overall, we love everything they did. We have future remodeling work planned and will absolutely contract with THI for it.

The customer decided to cancel because it was taking so long. E-GSI refused to refund the deposit. At first saying the glass had not even been ordered yet, then changed the story and said it had been custom made and we could only get a credit, not a refund, but they refused to even give us the glass they said had been made. The owner JR is a crook and a liar! To try to use our credit, we tried to get a written estimate for another customer. The verbal estimate went from $2-5K to $8-10k, then almost $20K. After multiple emails and calls to JR trying to get a written estimate and being ignored for over a month, I finally got ahold of him on the phone and he still refused to give me an estimate. At first he said he didn't even remember who I was, which after multiple emails, phone messages, and a few conversations, how could he not remember. I think not only is he a lying crook, he is old and out of his mind. He told me that sending him an email doesn't cut it. So I asked him why he ignored me so many times, and that is not a way to treat a customer. He kept going in circles and talking nonsense. He had basically stollen our $ and is refusing to allow us to get that back through another order. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

When discussing the estimate and hashing out the details my Dad suggested we add a 'Time' clause ie 'If you go longer than the agreed upon time frame of 5 weeks there will be a monetary penalty', well Chris did not bat an eyelash and agreed without hesitation - he knows his crew and how they work so was not at all worried about running long - and to our delight he was RIGHT!! They estimated 5 weeks for a basement remodel to include demo, a true bedroom, tv room and a fully built bathroom with plumbing and were done in 4!!! We have been living in the space for almost a month now and have had no issues, no surprises - not one!! I find this to be a point of praise for AB Remodeling!! Chris and his crew were respectful of our home, were helpful in general and cleaned up all of the construction mess - to include hauling away all the trash. He also helped design the space so it functions like three different rooms while still feeling like one connected, open area, which completely changed how we use it. His team was on time, professional, and incredibly respectful. They put down protective matting as they went in and out of the basement, swept the floors daily, cleaned up debris as they worked, and treated our home with real care.
