I initially agreed to choose THI for my project due to the good reviews online and recommendation from my designer who thought it would be easier to have THI be my contractor since I was already ordering cabinets and tiles from them. My initial consultation with the owner, Aaron Glenn, was great. He seemed to understand the entire scope of the project but ultimately fell short at time of contract signing. There were significant discrepancies, and I felt like I was gaslit on multiple occasions. This company subcontracts almost all of its work which resulted in major inconsistent quality and communication issues. Major delays occurred due to incorrect supply orders and measurements, and the company (Aaron) showed absolutely no willingness to offer apologies, sympathies or compensation for these setbacks. The most concerning aspect was his unprofessional and unethical behavior regarding a final punch list of incomplete tasks and a remaining balance of $2000 of a total $138,000 project. He demanded payment onsite without providing an updated invoice and even threatened to dismantle my kitchen if immediate payment was not made via credit card. He was assured multiple times that payment would be sent after final work was assessed by my designer, just as I have been doing for the $135,000 of work previously completed but he refused to leave my home. I ultimately filed a police report and am still contemplating legal action as he has threatened to put liens on my property. Based on these experiences, I would NOT recommend Total Home Improvement, LLC. If you decide to still pursue this company, make sure you get everything from the owner in writing during your initial consultation. It is critical you have him sign a delay of work contract (clause dealing with delay in performance) and a waiver of lien so he cannot threaten you as he has done with me. If he refuses, that is a red flag, and you should reconsider this company. Good luck on your renovation project and God speed!

The customer decided to cancel because it was taking so long. E-GSI refused to refund the deposit. At first saying the glass had not even been ordered yet, then changed the story and said it had been custom made and we could only get a credit, not a refund, but they refused to even give us the glass they said had been made. The owner JR is a crook and a liar! To try to use our credit, we tried to get a written estimate for another customer. The verbal estimate went from $2-5K to $8-10k, then almost $20K. After multiple emails and calls to JR trying to get a written estimate and being ignored for over a month, I finally got ahold of him on the phone and he still refused to give me an estimate. At first he said he didn't even remember who I was, which after multiple emails, phone messages, and a few conversations, how could he not remember. I think not only is he a lying crook, he is old and out of his mind. He told me that sending him an email doesn't cut it. So I asked him why he ignored me so many times, and that is not a way to treat a customer. He kept going in circles and talking nonsense. He had basically stollen our $ and is refusing to allow us to get that back through another order. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!

That level of pride and follow-through is rare. They painted the ceiling black and were meticulous--no missed spots, no shortcuts. Everything was done with care. We agreed on a timeline, and they started when they said they would, finished on time, and left the space spotless when the job was done. To make things even easier, we simply picked out samples from Home Depot, and Chris and his team handled all the materials. The entire process was smooth and stress-free. All we had to do was make one call, do a little planning, and enjoy our new basement one to two weeks later. And honestly, our basement is now one of our favorite parts of the house. It's peaceful, quiet, and truly enjoyable. What we expected to be just a more functional space turned into a place we actually love spending time in. The whole experience felt exciting--almost like Christmas morning--watching it come together. The results completely exceeded our expectations.
