I have an EZ Brook girl who has extreme anxiety. When I requested suggestions and or help from Suzie, she flat out said she didn't have time to do anything for me. Suzie is very abrupt. Most recently, our dog was diagnosed with epilepsy and when I tried to post to the FB page asking if anyone else had any experience with this, Suzie (who is the moderator) of the FB page didn't even post it. She doesn't want anyone to think her dogs are anything but perfect. I wasn't looking for medical advice, just feedback on whether or not anyone else had experience with this. I have known EZ Brook and it's owner now for well over 11 years and she is the only German Shepherd breeder I will ever use! I found her after two heartbreaking ordeals and lots of research. The owner is very knowledgeable, compassionate and responsible breeder. Over the years I have known her there has never been a time where she wasn't available to answer a question, to support the people whom own her pups or do what she needed to help someone out. Over the years I have heard and seen the disgruntled people complain about her and this is so not true unless you can't follow the rules. Some people truly don't understand that there are regulations she has to follow and even though she has crossed all her t's and dotted all her i's on her end people still don't listen. She is a breeder with a wealth of knowledge and I have found it hard to find a vet that understands this breed as well as she does and if you think it's just a dog then this dog is not for you. All breeds act differently. In the past year she has proven two vets here wrong and sadly one of my pups didn't make it. If she seems gruff to you or unprofessinal that it is solely in your lap. She has a hectic schedule and if you think you can simply stop by than that's not the case. She is not just any breeder but someone looking to find loving homes for the puppies she breeds. She is very selective in whom she gives them to and in the world we live in today I don't blame her. So if you are looking for a German Shepherd and you want to purchase one from a reputable breeder whom will always have your back and assistance you in all the care and needs of your new family member than this is where you should go. Hands down the most amazing breeder I have seen and other breeders should take lessons from her. read more

We have two dogs from EZ Brook and are very happy with both. Our male did have some pano issues when he was young but they have since went away and are not uncommon for male GSDs. Our female has had no issues. We did some obedience training with both dogs but they had great personalities from the start. Another reviewer mentioned that she did not like the breeder herself. I haven't encountered this. She has been helpful and responsive when necessary. When our male had medical issues she was very quick to respond. Non-essential questions don't always get answered right away but thats understandable with such a huge network of owners. The facebook group she has setup is awesome and a great resource where you can talk with other owners, ask questions, and just share photos and stories of your dog. We didn't choose Susie because we wanted her to be our friend, we wanted a healthy dog from a responsible breeder with years of experience. And that's what we got. When we needed help when our 1 year old male was playing too rough with the new puppy, she gave us a free lesson on how to prevent them from going too hard. When we were worried our male had hip issues, she reviewed our x-rays and gave her advice for at no charge. She also offers affordable boarding if needed. There are over 600 people on the EZ Brook Owners facebook group page - many of whom are very active and post regularly. I would recommend Susie/EZ Brook to anyone looking for a quality dog. read more

Let me begin my review by saying that with the exception of one dog's immune system who has cost my family thousands of dollars in vet bills, my three shepherds from EZ Brook Kennels are great. THAT BEING SAID...the breeder and only employee (Susie Zeiner) is not a nice person at all and all professionalism goes out the window if you are not the particular favorite zone. It's 6 years later and I am STILL waiting for paperwork from this place because the owner REFUSES to reply to my emails. I along with other customers who I personally recommended to EZ Brook have had the same issues... I bought my dog from a stud dog named Argus who was trained in narcotics and detection as well as a therapy dog...my intentions were to train MY dog in search and rescue.....I emailed and contacted Susie on multiple occasions and NEVER got a response...I posted on the Facebook group about training and never got a response from Susie...only the group members who were not qualified to answer my questions responded. I asked for help for MONTHS and never got an answer until I was face to face with her and STILL got nothing....it was completely ignored. The people I recommended to EZ Brook also went and some are still going through the same communication issues. The only contact or response you get from her is if your face to face and oh man....like the previous post said...be prepared. It's almost as if you cross a line from business to worst enemy in a second. She will scold you to the utmost extreme, whether it be in person or on Facebook. If she doesn't respond (which she usually doesn't) one of her minions will....who I'm sorry are not qualified to answer a question when its directed to the PROFESSIONAL....especially on yelp when I am allowed to exercise my freedom of speech without the retaliation of others. Bottom line...my dogs are great because I trained them from the start to be that way, not because of the "private lessons" that are offered but never scheduled. I love my dogs but I will absolutely NEVER buy another dog from EZ Brook kennels or recommend anyone to this business ever again. If you buy a dog from here or commit to a breeding contract make copies of EVERYTHING....if you go to her with the wrong paperwork....it's the end of the world for you my friend. To be perfectly honest.....you are better off rescuing instead of putting cash into the hands of this person...who doesn't have a clue how to run a proper business. My wife and I, like the previous posters, had a horrible experience with EZBrook Kennels. The owner of the business is very unprofessional. We went to look at a puppy and yikes... there were seemingly 100 dogs running around barking, the owner was constantly screaming at the dogs and was very gruff towards us like we were bothering her. It felt like she didn't want to be bothered. It's just a very unprofessional atmosphere. Needless to say, we decided against purchasing a dog from here. read more

My mistake was not doing any research on this kennel as I am not computer savy. I bought my EZ brook female German Shepherd with full breeding rights.Had her Pen Hip and OFA and she had very severe hip dysplasia. My contract said only 50% refund but I got nothing back because her papers were in my daughters name. That was the loophole the breeder looked for. A slick way to get out of making good on a very bad bred dog. Its ok though,as I found her a loving home with people who could afford hip replacements for the poor dog and she can have a good pain free life. My advice.Do your homework. If I looked on here first I would of never made this costly mistake. read more

EZ Brook is a very reputable kennel in Nottingham PA. The owner and operator, Susie Zeiner, is very knowledgable about German Shepherds. She does all the health testing and training and showing to improve the breed and improve her dogs. The post below is obviously from a disgruntled former owner of an EZ Brook dog. To respond to the owners comment........no you didn't know who I was on yelp. I think you had to do a little digging. Only friends & family call me Tina. You are neither. Secondly this is ridiculous. I've never had an owner of a business continually harass a person who posted a bad review! Also the person who posted a good review about you also attacked me! yelp took it down as per their rules just like they did my first review of your business. Right? How did all of "owners of ezbrook" know to get on yelp to post & or attack me? Calling me desperate. Or saying things about being a disgruntled former owner. Btw, I am still an owner of 2 ezbrook dogs. It's a shame that the person who posted that doesn't know that you say things behind her back like here comes the know it all. I stopped posting in your little group a LONG time ago. Right about when you embarrassed me & "corrected" me for feeding magic an extra pound of food. Long before she was bred for the 1st time. I didn't even post a pic of her when you asked me to when she was pregnant the first time. You found an old picture of her & used that. I did leave your group after you did what you did to my mom. I left in December. Didn't You know that?. As an admin of the group you see that. Again I don't use Tina so Idk maybe you missed it. We're not friends on Facebook. I returned Magic in February & I left your group in December but some how you knew who I was on here? On to Sarge. All of your responses were untrue. I NEVER received X-rays from you. I had been to 2 different vets & both said Sarge had elbow dysplasia. They wanted me to go to U of P vet hospital & spend $6000 to fix it. I emailed you to tell you what was going on. Told you about the X-rays I had. I said if that were true I would have to return him bc I couldn't watch him suffer or pay for a $6000 surgery. I emailed YOU X-rays from Aston veterinary hospital & you told me never to go there again. That they were wrong & bring him to you for you to take to your vet which we did. I never meant anything derogatory about your vet. You took him to the back & 15 mins later you brought him out to us. We never saw a vet that day. You Said he had pano & to buy dasaquin & keep him on that. We were never shown any X-rays that were taken that day & were never handed X-rays that day. I emailed you twice for those X-rays & I never received them! My vet asks me for those X-rays every time I take Sarge in for his check ups. You never inquired about Sarge after that. Never! Our only interactions were when I dropped magic off for breeding. You absolutely did scream at me & slam the door on me! Tell the truth! As for the post about Maggie. You may have not used my mom's name during your fb attack but a lot of people on there knew who my mom was & you knew our family was on there bc like you said we had 8 dogs from you. There was no need to post that terrible post! By the way, didn't you do just that to magic when I returned her? Get her pregnant then try & find her a home? What was the difference there? After all my family has spent there & gone through for the breeder dogs ( I drove 84 miles round trip every time I had to go there) instead of continually harassing via Yelp why don't you just apologize? How would you feel if you had a disabled son at home, drove 84 miles in the rain to drop off your dog & get that kind of treatment? I'm not wasting any more of my time on this Yelp review! What a great GSD breeder. My wife and I went to a number of breeders before we picked EZBrook Kennels. Most kennels had a very doggie smell, and the dogs just did not look like they were will kept. EZBrook is clean and the dogs are all well kept. We have purchased three shepherds from EZBrook and have been extremely happy with all of them. These are strong working dog line shepherds. We have passed Good Canine Certifications, temperament certifications and they have been award UKC titles as well. When they are with us in public they are well behaved and get constant praise from people that see them. I would highly recommend EZBrook to anyone. Susie Zeiner loves these dogs, the facebook group is full of valuable information and facts, it has been a great experience for us. Susie Zeiner will work with you so that you understand that breed. They are a large intelligent breed and require work by the owner. If you spend the time mentally and physically working this breed, you will have the best GSD, that are loyal and loving. read more
