Again -- if I do not have to rate it, I wouldn't but...... Well - here's my update - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY or Spirit Moving Co!!! I filed several more complaints, one to the Consumers Affairs (CA)! We submitted a claim for monetary reimbursement from EZ for their overcharge of $2000. We were told, "...since I filed a complaint with CA, they were not giving any money back!" AGAIN, myself & my sister are out $2000 for overcharge, $10,000 for additional moving van & workers to move the rest of her personal belongings from the house, AND the extensive damage to her/our valuable items! We than filed claims charges to the company, MovingClaims.Net for destructive damages to the *major* personal property! We worked for over a month detailing every cut, broke, torn, destroyed, chipped, ripped, shredded, mangled, & busted piece on each of the major items {ie china cabinet, couch, kitchen table, bedroom suite, etc}. We took pictures to document the damage, identified the item/weight/original cost/cost of damages than submitted it registered mail to the Claims Co. After numerous email exchanges, resubmission of pictures & signing an affidavit stating that was all we were claiming -- in hopes they would pay for the damages [our estimates of over $12,000] -- could at least get items fixed; we received their reply! Our calculation of damages (by experts & what we paid for the items; they offered us $64! That's sixty-four dollars for our $12,000 worth of damages! I've added just a few of the damages! To say we are very disappointed & upset with our entire move is definitely an understatement & if anyone uses this "broker" (EZ Moving Van Lines) or moving company (Spirit Van Lines out of GA) or TRY to get compensation from claims company (MovingClaims.Net); than be forewarned!!! This has been everything but an easy move for me!! Moved from Florida to Virginia. First off Aaron who booked the move was great and very helpful even in returning my phone calls on this complaint. As well as the driver Will, when showing up to my house in Florida. The movers were two days late. First day I did get a call from Al the warehouse manager stating they we're going to be late. This was an inconvenience for me having to move my daughters birthday party up because of it. Al called later stating they had a heavier load and would not be there until the next day, which was Sunday. Sunday came no call no show. I had to fly back to DC and one of the main reasons for coming was to deal with this and moving. Monday came no call from anyone. I started leaving messages no return phone call but finally got ahold of Cortney the dispatcher. Who first sounded like she was sleeping and annoyed. I did explain to Cortney that I know this is not her fault but I needed to at least get ahold of the driver. Since I had called every number I had trying to get and answer as far as the ETA of the movers. Finally got ahold of the driver. Will, who was great!! Who assist in helping me over the phone in the load up. There were more items I was charged for going on the truck. As a result if I was there then I could have eliminated some of this cost. Trying to do this via phone was still a hassle. The pick up for my furniture was Monday May 16th, 2016. Today is May 25th,2016. I still have not received my furniture or have I gotten an exact time frame to then delivery. I have been on the phone with the dispatcher all week and keep getting the same answer. Which is they still don't have the schedule yet. Cortney and Michelle who have been my line of communication thus far and have been helpful in what they can do. Al the warehouse manager has not returned any of my messages or phone calls. Al did leave a message with the dispatcher letting me know he could only take off $35 dollars for a late fee!? Well this is more than late and more than the 72 hours turn around within the timeframe of the contract. And still without a definite time on delivery. Only comment from dispatcher Cortney was it should be there soon?? At this point I would have paid they money for a more reputable moving company without this hassle and lack of better customer service. I feel I was profession in dealing with this company and not loosing my cool. EZ moving has been anything but easy at this point!! In what should have been a very exciting and happy experience for me as far as relocating and starting a new adventure in my new home!! I has cause me much frustration. I wouldn't even give this horrible company one star if I could. This is a PIECE OF SH*T company!!! Stay away from them I mean it. It is completely fraudulent and sketchy. DO NOT USE THEM! They said it would cost about $1,600; I paid about $600 up front and then the company sent me an email saying about $1,000 was the remaining balance. The first half of that remaining balance was due upon pick up at my apartment and the other half was due upon delivery. My boyfriend was in charge of making sure everything ran smoothly; when the movers arrived (they contract out, so its not the movers fault; they are just doing what they are told.) they told my boyfriend it was $800 (you also have to pay in cash. My boyfriend only had $500; he was able to get in additional $150 out of the bank. My boyfriend called the company and they said any discrepancies with the payment can be dealt with in the final payment. We were on a time crunch; our stuff had to be out of the apartment and my boyfriend was flying across the country to start a new job the next day. So we settled on paying $650. Anything time we called them was sketchy and not helpful. My dad had helped with setting up the moving he dealt with a girl named Emily. When he went to call her she was at a funeral (I had just lost my mom to cancer, so we were sympathetic; she said she would call back; never did). Now comes the the day of delivery September 5, 2017. The movers said it would be $1,000 F*CKING DOLLARS for the final payment. Remember when I said it was suppose to be $1,600 it ended up being $650 over what they quoted us. With me having to be a work, my boyfriend on some boat in the Pacific, my dad had to handle it. He called the company again flipping out and asked to speak to Emily; conveniently it was her birthday so she was off. I find it a bit f*ucking bizarre that 2 separate times that we called about money issues; Emily wasn't in the office due to a funeral and her birthday. In the end we got robbed from this HORRIBLE company. When you google reviews on them right away it says 4 out of 5 stars don't believe it. The furniture pads were torn. We paid more than the estimate and had to pay the rest of the money before they would unload our things, 2 days late. We filed a claim with CSI, the insurance company, and after 4 months were notified that EZ Moving wanted to handle the claim themselves. I was given a phone number, turned out to be dispatch, she tried to give me the phone number for CSI insurance! I talked to the Better Business Bureau of Charlotte. Apparently, they have previous complaints as I was told to file a complaint, it usually gets them to settle. Before I could do the complaint, I was notified that CSI was now going to handle the claim. They offered $42.00. I filed an appeal. read more

Their service contradicts their name because the move was anything but 'EZ'. We had a date scheduled and made plans around it but suddenly, they moved it back 5 days because it was convenient for them. WHAT ABOUT US?! They came in and took everything down hurriedly, but then uh oh! There apparently wasn't enough space in the truck for our furniture because they were already loaded with items for two families. Finally, after having to go through that, we were hit with a big shock, our final price was double the estimate. DOUBLE. And it only gets better, we had to drive 120 miles to another state to deposit the money in their banks or else they wouldn't ship our stuff! To be honest, pay more money and going to another moving company would have been a lot better instead of trying to save money and being left in more tension. EDIT: We were recently informed that our stuff is going to be late and we have to sleep on the floor again because of these people. You will regret your decision to use this moving company or any broker that uses them. They do business as "Orbit Moving Services" under USDOT 2542894. To save about $2000 for a cross country move, we decided to put our trust in a broker that uses this mover. We decided to move a three bedroom home after "promises" were made about dates and the total binding cost. After about ten moves in 20 years of being in the military, I thought I had seen it all. This was by far the worse thing I have ever seen when it comes to movers. We were promised certain pick up and drop off dates. The pick up date worked out, but the movers arrived about five hours late with a U-Haul truck. Customer service kept telling us they would be arriving soon, but we sat much of the day just waiting with no call from the truck. We should have declined the service when we saw a U-Haul truck. Only two movers arrived and it took them about eight hours to load the truck. The owner of the actual truck company told us four movers would come. When the truck arrived two days late on the other end, everything had been repacked in a filthy truck. Almost every item we owned was damaged in some way from wood furniture to crushed wardrobe boxes. Literally every items was covered in dirt. It looked like things were thrown into the second truck after sitting in a dirty field or warehouse. The young man who arrived with our belongings was very rude. He didn't give us time to do a thorough inventory and didn't unpack all the items the movers at the original location had packed. They used tape on furniture and cabinets that took hours to scrape off leaving damages. He didn't have time too look for knobs that had fallen off certain furniture items in the bottom of the truck which was littered with other people's belongings, dirt, and trash. Buyer beware!! The mover demanded about $1500 over the "binding estimate" saying we had more items than expected. If you don't pay, you won't get your stuff. It was impossible to get anyone responsible on the phone to help us when problems cropped up. read more

This company picked up belongings one day early from my 17 year old daughter who they proceeded to badger into signing a bill that was double the quote. Then, they took two weeks and many phone calls to deliver my items. They agreed to half up front and the other half when complete. However, they demanded the complete payment 2/3s of the way through. When I refused, they drove off with my dining room table and sofas. Run, I mean sprint in the other direction. These people are crooks. read more

To update on my review below, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! To reiterate, ez movers lost my dresser and my bed frame when they moved me in June from NC to NYC. My books shelf was completely and irreparably scratched and my mattress was dirty. They tried to add a bunch of ridiculous fees that were not in the contract, and after they lost my furniture they claimed that it was in their storage facility in NC. But then, they would not answer any of my questions or calls and eventually never got me my belongings. In the contract, they are obligated to pay out for lost furniture, however I cannot get in touch with anyone. I filed multiple claims with the better business bureau and CSI, both of which refused to help. It has been 6 months since the move, and CSI has just returned my claim saying they are not authorized to help and that I need to contact EZ movers. Worst experience! Thought we had a good estimate ($1650) going into it, but it was a bait and switch. Jacked the price on us to triple after loaded ($4400). We were in shock! Then it got worse. After dealing with dispatch, then Al, we settled after going around and around ($3200). It took almost two weeks to get our stuff. AND when it arrived it was all damaged! Seriously damaged. Broken. We still had to pay full amount and no apologies. Nothing. Just a "call this number to make a claim". We are doing so, but it's a pain in the butt. And we are expecting to get screwed on that too. I have made plenty of bad decisions in my life, but choosing to do business with this scam of a company is the worst of them all. Well, to be fair on myself, I chose to do business with another company who outsourced their service to EZ. I was not told that movers were going to be picking up my items until 3 hours before their arrival. Once they did arrive, they did an OK job of getting everything loaded up. However, they did not attempt to keep the house clean, and I heard several loud thumps of things falling while in their possession. They essentially doubled their fee from what I was quoted, and there was nothing I could do as I needed to get my furniture moved ASAP. I had signed a contract and paid a deposit when speaking to a sales representative, but they made me sign a new contract when they were there, and they also required payment up front in cash or check, which I was not told until the movers were actually in my house. When booking the move I was told to expect delivery within one to seven days. However, they delayed to over two weeks and were incredibly rude and unhelpful whenever I called in to get timing updates. The only phone number that would get answered was the dispatch lady, and she was rude, unprofessional, and entirely unhelpful. For a full week she told me that the truck was expected to leave 'today or tomorrow'. When pressed for a delivery date, no one was able to provide anything concrete. When asked to speak to her manager she consistently claimed that they were not in and that they would give me a call when they got in the office. I received zero phone calls from the supposed manager. When my stuff finally arrived, I was amazed at how they managed to damage literally every single piece of furniture I had paid them to take from VA to FL. Not one single item was in the same condition as it was when I gave them. They took forever, and left a huge pile of trash in my new living room. Oh- and they require further cash payment before you ever see your belongings being taken off the truck. My advice to anyone reading this - steer clear of this business. It is evident from the other yelp reviews that I am not the only one who has had this terrible of an experience. Shell out the money and go with an established and highly regarded firm. Received a call a day later that they were 10 minutes away. They then confirmed and assured me they would be delivered on the agreed upon date (which was 3 days ago) and my items have still not been delivered, and they have still not provided me with an expected drop off date. The lady in dispatch is completely incompetent and rude and there is never a manager on duty no matter the time or day. read more

The salesmen will say anything to get the contract and they purposely grossly under estimate your footage so they can hold your things hostage until you pay at their inflated rate. Out of three 60" inch tvs, two are broken and one is missing (stolen). The pick and drop that should have taken eight hours ended up being a nightmare week. My mover loaded our truck and then text us that he quit and left our truck in Florida. No one would take our calls to actually get our things to Georgia for days. When they actually did show up I was informed they had no tools and would not be putting any furniture together and left us to pick up the pieces of our damaged and torn apart items that did actually make it to our new home. So I booked ez moving a few months to move us from key west to Virginia. They were suppose to pick us up on Tuesday. They did call on Monday and say that it would have to be Wednesday between 2 and 4pm. Today after not hearing from them I tried Logan the sales rep we had been working with. He still has not returned me emails, text, or phone calls. Finally at 3pm today I got ahold of dispatch. She first said the truck was in the area but broken down. When she called back she said they were canceling my move! So what do I do with that. The new renters were moving in to the house today. At six months pregnant I can't exactly rent a U-haul and do it myself. I spent all day trying to find another moving company. Think I have one lined up but it cost a small fortune to have a company come all the way to key west on that short of notice. The new renters are letting me store my stuff in the old house until tomorrow and I am in a hotel. Hopefully the new movers show up tomorrow and save the day. I had already paid a deposit with ez movers that they said they would refund but since they won't take my calls I am worried about getting that back. This was the worst experience of my life! I was moving my family fourteen hours from their home and everything was damaged, ruined completely, or never showed up. The original quote seemed fantastic, but doubled when they showed up with only half of our stud. A month after they picked it up! We slept on air mattresses for that entire time and had only what we packed in our van with us. Heirlooms were destroyed or never brought to us, beds didn't even show up with everything , dressers came without the matching mirrors( which were heirlooms) I'm disgusted! WORST COMPANY EVER! They are all nice and answer all your calls when your signing the contract. Once they come pick up your stuff, prepare for the nightmare to begin. First of all they lied about the pick up day. They tell you one day but in the clause give themselves 2 days and the picked up our stuff the 2nd day at 8pm at night. Then they tell us they will deliver in 5 days and we didn't get our stuff till 13 days later. Logan lies to his customers and then stops responding to emails or calls. Dispatch is a disaster that never answers the phone to give you an update. But that's not all. After all that ordeal we get our stuff in disastrous conditions. They broke an end table. All of our furniture is severely scratched and our furniture was in brand new condition. Ever piece has a chunk missing. Our dining chair is broken. Our futon is missing a piece. A bookcase disappeared and our office chair is missing. And all out fragile items where shattered. Our boxes look like they went through a hurricane and smell terrible. The movers where beyond rude and didn't even apologize for the damage. This company does not care and are a bunch of liars and thieves. They come up with shuttle fees and other mysterious fees to rip you off. They also want the money up front before they bring down your furniture. They want the money upfront because of all the damage they have done to your belongings. Oh and last but not least you get other people's furniture. DO NOT USE EZ MOVING AND STORAGE INC. There is no reasonable option that you could possibly be considering that would not be better than using this company. The only people they make anything easy for is themselves. We hired EZ Moving and Storage Inc. to move our belongings to a new state and to store it for about a month. Our contract stated that they had 7-14 days from the moving date, which was July 2, 2016 to deliver our belongings. The truck was an 18 wheeler with our belongings in the back portion of the trailer and another family's belongings in front that they were to deliver to a different state. They collected the remainder of the $3641 cost before they started unloading the truck. However, my wife noticed that a large number of our belongings were not on the truck. The movers had no idea where the rest of our belongings were. She had to make multiple phone calls to their headquarters, as they did not return her calls, before she was able to reach someone. They told her that they still had the rest of our belongings but could not fit them all on the truck with the other family's belongings. It was clearly evident that they were perfectly aware that they were not sending us all of our property but they didn't have the common decency to tell us because they wanted to be sure to collect the money first and just let us figure it out for ourselves. My wife was relieved when she was promised that the rest of our belongings would be delivered 4 days later on Tuesday July 19. Tuesday came and nobody showed up, nor did they call, nor did they return our phone calls. When she was finally able to reach someone days later, it was clear they never had any intention to bring us our belongings on July 19. They just flat out lied so that my wife would calm down and the movers could leave. At that time we were told that our property would be placed on the first truck they had coming to GA, because apparently they feel that when they collected $3641 from us that they could deliver our property whenever it was most convenient and cost effective for them even when it completely violated our contract. We told them that this was not acceptable as they were past the 14 day limit in our contract and needed to bring us our belongings immediately. We called over and over and they continued to tell us that they would send us our property when they had a truck coming to Georgia with room for our belongings. Throughout this process they never once called us even when they specifically told us a date they would call back. On August 23, 52 days after our requested move in date, the movers returned. There were still multiple items missing. They attempted to bring multiple items into our house that were not ours that I told them to put back on the truck. Our kitchen table was nearly 150 years old and was passed down to me from my great great grandfather. We had properly removed the legs wrapped them separately and the table top was wrapped in a moving blanket which was taped with packing tape. When they carried it off the truck the blanket was removed and the table ripped in half. There was also a deep gash in the top of the table about 2 inches wide and 2 feet long. They had also taken our oak high boy dresser, which was left to me by my grandparents, and ripped it into 2 halves, a process which required prying out nails. I pointed the issues out to the movers and they said we would have to file an insurance claim as per the information in our contract. We went through the extensive process of filing an insurance claim and spent a considerable amount of time putting together an accurate and informative account of the property which was lost or damaged and it's value. On October 6, 2016 we received an email from Claims Service International (CSI) which confirmed that they had received our claim and that EZZ Moving & Storage Inc. had 120 days to process our claim as allowed by Federal Law. However, on January 6, 2017 I received another email from CSI which stated that they would no longer be handling our claim since their service agreement with EZZ Moving & Storage Inc. had been terminated and that we needed to contact the company directly. I called EZZ Moving & Storage Inc that day to inquire about the situation and reminded them that February 3, 2017 would be the end of the 120 days they had to respond to our claim. She specifically said that she would give me a call back Monday January 9, but didn't so I called again on Tuesday January 10 and once again reminded her of the 120 day deadline. I was told that she was still trying to find out information and that she would give me a call back as soon as soon as possible. After 6 weeks no one contacted us regarding our insurance claim and February 3 which was the end of the 120 days they legally had to respond had come and gone, we sent an email stating we were prepared to take legal action and they still have not responded. EZ Moving Van Line are running a fraud!! They knew most of the items were damaged and refused open the truck to let me identify my items before I pay cash in full!? The problem is not only money, now most of the furniture articles, artworks and sentimental items are destroyed. They have grossly lied about the weight, additional charges when they unwrapped my items and re-wrapped, intentional parked down a block and calculated steps in order to charge increase significantly. The worst of all which they knew most of the items were damaged, so they have my items in hostage demands pay cash in full before open the truck !! As the truck opened I was shocked to see the "things" all cramped and stacked on each other like a garbage truck. And the contract listed that service included blanket wrapping of all furniture. But all of the metal furniture articles were not wrapped and they ALL got some degree of damage, dent and bents with scratches. Not to mention a framed art work, all glass shuttered and frames are broken with damaged image!! The sculptured mirror was also broken! All boxes were crushed out of shape (even though marked "Fragile")! Also, there is missing item which they still haven't responded to my request of the re-delivery date. And no one responded as yet how we start the claim even though I email and tried by phone. The guy who sign a contract his name Zack Demo, he did not offer any assistance, he even laugh when I called after the incident!! When they have my things in hostage the driving let me talk to a guy his name Jerry from Georgia who also refused before I paid cash in full. I regret choosing this company and would give zero stars if possible. They are nearly impossible to get ahold of, even through their 24/7 phone line was no help. The truck was supposed to arrive on a Monday or Tuesday, and the days leading up to it we could not receive an exact day or time. We were told multiple times that we would receive a call back with answers, and it wasn't until Monday afternoon that we were told they would be here on Wednesday.. what??! They finally called back and said they would actually be able to come Tuesday between 4-6. Come Tuesday they were, again, unreachable. It is well beyond our quite time, we haven't heard from anyone all day, left multiple messages, our cars are packed in 122 degree weather, and we are sitting around with every item packed and wrapped with our thumbs in our butts trying to move across the country. The frustration alone is not worth it for this company. **update** we received a call LATE that evening with a promise that we would be the first pick up between 8-10 in the morning. At ten we received a call that they were an hour and a half behind.. followed by another call that our truck was not coming at all. This company is a complete joke. They are extremely unorganized and unprofessional and have yanked us around for four days now. We ended up cancelling all together and renting a uhaul, as we had given notice to our apartment to be out by the last day of our CONTRACTED move, and have jobs to be at immediately after our arrival & now zero time to unpack. I needed a moving company to do a relatively speedy move from Florida to Colorado. I somehow placed my information on a website while I was searching and began to receive phone calls from different moving companies within the hour. This was my first move by myself; being an army brat movers pretty much did all the work when we moved from station to station, anyway this was a daunting experience for me. After two days of quotes and time lines I somehow ended up with E-Z Moving. They were persistent and offered me a "military discount." Its seriously humorous typing this out now. During that call where they scheduled my pick-up, they made a list of all the things I had and gave me a quote accordingly, I thought this was easy as I had already packed and boxed all but furniture up. They knew exactly what I had. They gave me my quote and scheduled a time. Due to weather, the movers were a day late to my pick up. I didn't care about the weather part, I was thinking of everyone's safety, however no one gave me a phone call from the company til after I called several times. In fact, I didn't hear from any representative from the company unless it was regarding money. The movers made it the next day and I was informed when they got to my front door that E-Z Moving uses a third party for their pickups and deliveries, a company called David & Goliath. It wouldn't have been an inconvenience if they would have stated that when they scheduled my pick-up but I felt like I was lied to and honestly a little hesitant to let them in. But I did and these guys did a great job, they were nice and respectful. During this time while they were moving my things into the truck (I had already boxed up all but furniture) they informed me that it would be extra for any material that they had to use and extra if they my weight went over. Now why would it go over if they knew exactly what I had? The guys reassured me that I would be ok from the looks of my things and went on their way. When I arrived to Colorado I called regularly to just talk to someone about the exact time the movers would be at my apartment. NO ONE EVER ANSWERED OR CALLED BACK! That was not reassuring at all! A couple days go by and I get a phone call from a guy telling me he is my delivery driver and letting me know that he would give me a phone call an hour before he got to my apartment, he also told me what my remaining balance would be along with any fee that may arise if there was any trouble during delivery time (like cars parked outside or no room on the street or more than 7 fucking steps up to my apartment) my heart dropped. My original quote was around $1,500 and it went up to $3,000. I chose this company for the timeline and price and both of those reasons were stripped from the situation in one phone call not even from the damn company. Again, I made several phone calls mad as all hell and still no one returned my phone calls. I was left an entire weekend stressing over what I thought would be the simplest thing about my move. On Monday, someone called from E-Z Moving to let me know that I had gone over on weight, I asked how that could've been if they knew exactly what I had, she couldn't answer my question, she didn't work with me, there was nothing. That same Monday, the mover guy gave me a 15-minute window on delivery time, raised his voice at my mother, literally yanked the last check from my hand and was generally rude to everyone. I had to pretty much beg one guy to put my bed frame together and to not through my things. I cried for a few days looking at the condition of my things and realizing that one or two boxes were missing. I got over it and now I'm ok to write this review. I usually don't write on things like this but I felt as though some things and money was taken from me. This moving company is the worst and I highly recommend you go with someone else. If you were unfortunate to experience something similar, I suggest putting in a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (at least with David & Goliath because E-Z Moving Van Lines isn't even listed), The American Moving & Storage Association, and The Department of Transportation. Companies like this should not be in business, they should not be able to treat people like money bags and mistreat belongings. read more

I had a very horrible experience with this EZ moving van lines. I should not have believed the rating as per google review. I strongly believe most of the reviews are fake reviews. I definitely want to give a negative rating but I have to give 1 to post this review. I hired them to move my stuff from Los Angeles to Indianapolis. The movers subcontracted the Job to another mover (STATE TO STATE Transportation). Initially they billed me around $1500 for the inventory list I told and when they came to pick the stuff, they disassembled few of my home stuff and increased the inventory list. By doing this, they got two to three extra inventory item (Size of three large boxes) to add to my inventory list. For this three extra items they charge $700 extra saying the cubic Sq feet increased from 300 to 425 which was a total lie. They kept me occupied during the time of shifting by giving paperworks which took me around 30 Min to complete. By the time they packed all the stuff very closely in a way the thing will break in U-Haul Van .Only 25% area of the whole 10" U-Haul van were covered. the people around me and I told the driver that their measurement is wrong, He just ignored us and simply told me to contact EZ movers customer emergency number since they did the work after EZ mover regular office work time which I think is a planned timing for them to pick up. I contacted EZ Movers and nobody responded (tried for almost 30 - 45 mins) .Since no one picked and all my stuff inside the vehicle and some amount of paid money with them, I was left with no option rather to go with them. Finally my things arrived in a very bad condition, two large boxes were missed and many items were damaged (Attached the photo for proof) . So I said the same to the movers company (Even it was mentioned in the list of lost, broken and damaged items in final bill with delivery truck driver)and filed a claim for lost, broken and damage item around $900 with proof of item bills and purchase order with photo. They told I can claim for $6 considering the items to be 10 pounds. For the $6 also they need to get the paper works signed by a Notary public which will cost me around $10. Finally I gave up and I left the decision to god to punish them for the sin they are making . This is totally a worst moving company. I can't leave zero stars- world's worst experience do not use these movers they were supposed to come between nine and 12 and they didn't show up until 5 PM and they didn't leave until midnight my furniture got delivered nine days later they kept saying it was across country when it was only five States. They miss placed my dining room table top and the frame to my moms queen size bed. They have not found the table top and have no intentions on finding it they damaged The dining room table base which I had and was just going to replace the glass but now I can't because the base is ruined they ruined two of my leather chairs to the dining room set one looks like it was actually burned a hole in it. They insisted on taking the glass shelves out of my China cabinet which has moved three times successfully without being removed and they broke them right in half. They also broke to the legs on my television stand one on each side. Every time I call they don't pick up the phone and when they do pick up the phone they lie. I booked them through Plymouth relocation service who is even worse than them do not use either of these companies you will regret it you will never be made whole again it is better to count your losses and move on then have to deal with these thieves. These people have made me angrier than anything I can't even think of in the past. No one tries to help you all they do is take your money drop off your broken furniture and they don't even put the boxes in the rooms that are supposed to unless you beg or really huge tips. read more

NEVER USE EZ MOVERS AND STORAGE!!! I can not begin to tell you the grief and aggravation this terrible company has caused me and my family for the past month! My daughter used them to move from SC to VA and it took 3 WEEKS for her to get her belongings. They are all good until the contracts are signed then you get nothing from them. Read the fine details on the contract. They say they have 7-14 business days to deliver your items to you. She got her stuff on the 14th business day!!! Logan was the person that I was dealing with and signed us up and he was great until we signed on the dotted line. He lied to us and told us she would have her items by July 1st. He never answered one text or email after we signed, guess he made his money (Must be a broker, even though their website states they are not brokers) She got everything TODAY 20 days later!!!! THE WORST!! They put your items in a warehouse in Raleigh, NC until they have enough business to bring your items to you!! Dispatch is rude and they never call back as they tell you they will. I can go on and on about this company but it's not worth my time, they took enough of it the last 3 weeks...chasing after them and my daughter's belongings. Do yourself a favor and walk away NOW! To finish 2 of her furniture pieces were damaged. She did get all her stuff nothing was missing and the men that moved her both ways were very nice and hard workers...however, I don't recommend this company...I gave them one star because I had to to post this, they don't even deserve one star. This was the worst experience of my life. I got quotes from multiple companies. I settled for EZ Moving and Storage because they gave me a good price (not the most expensive but not the cheapest), they were very responsive on the phone, and had flexible moving dates. I put in my deposit and never heard from the sales rep, Marcel, again. The business was supposed to call me on Thursday to set up a 2 hour window on Friday to pick up my inventory. I did not receive a call and I was calling the office repeatedly with no answer. Eventually, Marcel texted me and I asked him if there was a scheduled pick up window yet. He told me that dispatch as well as the owner of the company would call me immediately to remediate the situation. I did not hear from either. At about 4:55pm, I received an email from Marcel saying my pick up time was 3-6pm on Friday. When I first scheduled this move, I was told the pick up window was very flexible and they will work with me to figure out a good time. Marcel told me that dispatch would still call and confirm the pick up time. I never received a call. I waited patiently on Friday and at 4pm I started calling every number I had associated with the company. I know dispatch and the office close at 5pm and if I didn't have any word then nobody would answer (not that people answer regardless). I called the office approximately 50 times. Eventually someone answered and I asked for Marcel. They responded with who is that? i asked if it was EZ Moving and Storage and they said no this number was an insurance company. I checked the number multiple times against the texts I received from Marcel and the calls I had previously received. I continued to call but nobody would answer the phone. I had googled the BBB page, yelp, and angies list and called all numbers associated with EZ Moving and Storage. None of the companies had my inventory/ name on file. I was not in the systems. I looked up this company by the DOT number and learned their official name is EZZ Moving and Storage. The other EZ Moving and Storage company were professional and responsive. I got hold of dispatch around 4:50pm and they told me the driver wasn't going to make it by 6pm but he should be there by 11pm after his job. They gave me the drivers name and number. I called him and he said he will come after he finishes his current job. He told me he needed me to text him my address and he would call back with an ETA. He never called me back. Around 10:30pm, I got in touch with him and he asked if he could come the next morning. I begrudgingly said that was fine but he had to come by 8am because I had to travel across the country. He said he would definitely be at my house by 8am. I started calling him at 7:30am to make sure he was coming. I did not receive an answer. I called every company number I knew and nobody responded. Eventually dispatch called me at 11:30pm and said the driver was just leaving from a city that was 6 hours away. They arrived at 6pm on Saturday night and were extremely unprofessional and rude. They reeked of smoke and refused to wrap my items properly. They tried to put my mattress in the truck folded and stripped all my nails taking my furniture apart. They were not careful, efficient, or good at their job. After they finish, they left and told me to call the office for a delivery date. They collected the money from me and did their math wrong on how much was put down, due at pick up and due at delivery. Their paperwork was terrible quality and could not be read nor would hold up in a legal forum. When I scheduled the job, I was told I would get my stuff the following Monday. I knew this wasn't going to happen after the experience I had so far and on top of that I haven't been in contact with the office since I put my deposit down. On Monday, I called and nobody fro the office answered nor did dispatch. Eventually on Tuesday afternoon, I got a hold of dispatch. They told me to wait on hold and they would discuss a delivery date with their manager. They came back and said they would need to call me back. They never called me back and I that happened 2 more times. Eventually, 2 weeks later after I had been calling everyday they said my inventory had made it on the truck and would be here. They told me I would get a call 24 hours in advance of delivery from the driver. I did not expect any calls so I called dispatch everyday. Eventually the driver said she was here and luckily I was home. She told me she was unable to come into my apartment complex with her 18 wheeler. We have a very big complex that has multiple loops so she would not even need to back up. She told me to meet her at the front entrance and see for myself. She said she would need to go rent a uhaul and shuttle it and it would be expensive or I could do it. I made her drive in and my stuff was all damaged. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! I should have looked at this company on Yelp before I used them but that's on me - everything else is on them. I got an original quote of $1800, ended up being more like $6700. To be fair, I definitely underestimated my stuff, but seriously, over 3x the cost is ridiculous. Then when I tried to pay they constantly told me I needed cash or money order after being told I could pay with a credit card. They showed up to load my stuff only to add an additional $800 charge due to volume but I was told all costs were weight related. There was nothing easy about this company at all. There was some furniture that wasn't going and they took that and charged me for it as well. Then they were supposed to arrive on a Monday but did not even ship my stuff until 2 days later. I didn't get my stuff until Saturday that week making that a 21 day wait for my stuff. When calling to discuss the status of my stuff I got the run around, "this is typical in this industry" BS. This was by far my worst customer service/price/quality of work experience I have EVER had. I am so mad at myself for even considering this company. Please save yourself the trouble and STAT AWAY!!!! This company is the worst moving company that I have ever used!!!!!! I booked my move from Florida to New Jersey way in advance. I was given a fair estimate for my move so I decided to use this company. To make a long story short it took the company 23 days to deliver my stuff. I had to make calls over and over every week and was given excuse after excuse as to why it was taking so long. My requested delivery date was within a week of my move. Please make sure you read the contract word for word. They have up to 30 days to deliver unless you paid for a guarantee delivery date which cost more money (in the fine print of contract). After all said and done. I paid over $1500 more than what was estimated even though I was under the weight. They make you pay the balance before they unload the truck and would not give me back what I over paid. Many of my items were missing or damaged and well as boxes were crushed. Now I have to go to court to try and get justice. This company was booked through a carrier service company called Nurizon Van Lines which is also owned by the same person as this moving company. EZM Moving and Storage did a great job for me when I was relocating to Sunrise, FL! Donna gave me a quote specific to what I told her I had to move. A few days before the move, I called to reconfirm the pricing just to make sure. The guys even showed up early and gave me a breakdown of the fees, travel time, etc. I was on a certain budget and told them that upfront. They hustled and even finished my move under budget and ahead of schedule! Needless to say, I was very pleased with the service I received! I would definitely recommend them! My only advice would be hat if you ask them for extra items that are not in the original quote in your move, need more boxes, etc.....obviously, it isn't free.....They will charge you (common sense) duh! Long story short . . . I carefully planned this long-distance move because I can't get a lot of time off. The schedule was discussed a few times with "EZ" Movers beforehand. On a tight schedule, I flew to Atlanta to meet the movers. They tell me they'll be there at between 12 and 4. They call me at 11:45 top say it would be 4 pm instead. Dispatch is incredibly disrespectful and rude when I tell her that it is unacceptable and I have other move-related things to do. No manager to speak to. They pushed the time back three or four times taking up my whole day. They get there at 7:45, an hour after my storage facility is closed. My flight back home was early in the morning so I left Atlanta without my items, having wasted money traveling there in the first place and hours of my time. I still have not resolved getting my things. They screwed me but as I look at some of the other stories on the Better Business Bureau site and on here, I realize I got off easy compared. So many other people had their items lost or damaged, it took weeks for delivery, and/or were over charged. It is such a shame that a company can try to do business this way. Wouldn't it be much easier for them just to try to do a good job and keep return customers who are happy with their business? I guess they just like screwing people over. I guess that's more fun. We booked this move with Logan going from Massachusetts to Florida. We were treated very well in the beginning. We told Logan that this was a Military funded move and they had to be accommodating with dates and size of load. We were assured that was not an issue. On 7/19/16 we call and spoke to "Marisol" as several e-mails and voicemail's to Logan were not replied to. We told Marisol that Logan needed to push out the move date to 8/6/16 and we needed to get him a new inventory so we could get the pricing correct. We also stated that we needed a DOD Authorized Weigh Station to weigh the truck prior to pickup and after pickup so we could get reimbursed for the move. Marisol assured us that a Dispatch Manager would call us back to verify this. Marisol requested we send a new inventory list and links to DOD Weigh Station information to her and Logan and we would get a call back Monday 7/25/16. As the original move date was 7/27/16 we told her it was imperative that all this was done. By noon EST Monday we had no call and all attempts to call Logan and Marisol went unanswered. We sent an e-mail to Logan and Marisol stating if we did not hear from them by 5pm est 7/25/16 we would have to cancel the move as we had been trying to push out the date to 8/6/16 for almost 10 days and still had no accurate pricing nor DOD weigh ticket confirmation. At 5:30pm est still no e-mail or call so we sent a final e-mail canceling the move and demanding the refund of our deposit. I was clear that we did not want a dispatch. On 7/26/16 (the day dispatch was supposed to call us to arrange the now canceled pickup) we heard nothing. The 27th came and went still no response. On the 28th we were driving home from the Newport, RI Naval Base and we got a call from an EZ Moving and Storage Driver saying he was one hour away. We told him the move was canceled and not to come. He stated he would not come. I told him to tell Logan and Marisol that we need a call back to arrange a refund of our deposit and he stated he would call them. It is now August 5, 2016. We still have no contact from Logan or Marisol. We have disputed the deposit with Chase VISA and sent them all our e-mails. Used EZ moving to move our stuff one state over earlier this month. Our estimate tripled even though we didn't take huge items that were in the initial estimate like a bed. They stated they needed to add a $200 "bulking fee" for our small spinner piano. When we asked (and we have called back and confirmed with numerous EZ-Moving Van Lines employees that "bulking fee" means a fee to account for wasted vertical space due to being unable to stack boxes on top of the piano. Our piano could not have possibly had more items stacked on top of it. It was in the very back of the truck with boxes stacked on top of it all the way to the ceiling. When I stood at the back of the truck and noticed this, I was able to snap a picture of all the large heavy boxes on top of our piano and we sent it to the company. So far EZ-Moving has informed us that they will not be refunding the bulking fee, even though they explicitly did not uphold to their end of the bargain as to why that fee is added, which I find very unethical and unprofessional. I will update my review of EZ-Moving Van Lines if they choose to make the right decision and issue us a refund for not upholding their end of the contract agreement. Update: they have chosen to not refund our fee stating that when we signed the contract for the company they work with (leadership logistics) that LLs definition of bulking fee takes precedence. However the contract I signed with LL has no posted definition within my contact of their definition of bulking fee. So EZ movings definition should still stand, but they are choosing to be unethical about this situation. Just one example about the unethical behavior of this company. read more

I have called the packers, the shipping company, and the individual whom I was contacted by. All I get is voicemail with no return calls. This was the worst experience EVER. I booked this move from Fl to NC about a month in advance as I had my son's graduation the same weekend I wanted to move and was planning on loading up the car right after the movers left and heading to NC with my son and my dog. I was told by Bill (my representative) that the date and time I needed would not be a problem (Sunday, May 28 at 7 a.m.). First, they called me on Friday and told me my pickup would be Sat between 4 and 6. I was not happy about it but I told them this was not really convenient for me but I would make some adjustments to my graduation plans and could make it work. They said unless I heard from them, the movers would be there Sat. I never heard from them, changed my plans, and they never showed up or answered any calls. I finally got ahold of them Sun morning. They told me they would be there at noon on Sunday. We waited and nothing. The mover finally called me about 2:00 Sunday afternoon. We still had an 8-hour drive to NC ahead of us. I asked the mover if I could leave the money with my neighbor and he would pay for the move for me on that end. Mover said that would be fine. My son and I left. I kept in touch with my neighbor during my trip and the movers never showed up until 9:00 that night. The nightmare didn't end there though. Since Monday was a holiday, I was not able to get ahold of EZ until Tues. The dispatch woman was rude and not helpful at all in giving me a date for delivery of my stuff. She did not find it unacceptable that the pickup was at 9 at night. I called each day over the next few days and got no answer most days. On Thurs, I finally got to speak to someone and she said delivery should be within the next couple of days, someone would call me!!! Sunday night, I got a call from Al in the warehouse. He was very rude and actually told me he was sorry I used their company for my move. I told he was not as sorry as I was. He informed me my stuff could be delivered on Monday but I owed $1100 dollars. That was more than double what was agreed upon originally. I did have some extra boxes and a few extra small items but nowhere near double the amount. I ended up borrowing the extra money for the movers just so I could get my stuff delivered. On Monday, when my stuff was delivered, there was a LOT of damage ranging from broken glass in multiple boxes to my office desk (an L-shaped return desk) being totally destroyed. It looked like it had been pulled apart without unscrewing it at all. I filed a claim on June 7, submitting 34 pictures of all the damage that had been done (yes, there was THAT much damage). I was informed it takes 120 days for a claim to be settled. I am STILL waiting. I will be so happy when this whole moving fiasco is finally resolved. I would NOT reccommend EZ Moving and Storage to anyone. read more

Do not use this company! They quoted $1300 and changed their quote to $3100 upon arrival. Then they were a day late and did not have a truck that was large enough. They returned with a larger truck, another day late, and still couldn't get the job done. They told us they would store our furniture in their warehouse until they were able to schedule the move. Weeks passed, and we were unable to reach them by phone or email until we threatened to contact a lawyer. At that point they returned our call, and still could not definitely schedule a move date. We wanted to cut our losses, hire another company and just get our stuff from their warehouse, but this angered Al, and he promised at that point to get the job done. More weeks passed with unreturned phone calls and emails. Finally my husband reached them and they scheduled a day to bring our furniture, but we still don't have it. Now what?
