My daughter moved from Charlotte back to the Triangle and as of this past week, every option of help we had had fallen through. Johnny and his team, Travis and James, showed up on time and were both personable and very efficient with their work. They were careful with all the pieces (there were some older pieces of furniture that needed to be handled with care). In one case a bolt & washer unscrewed from the stand they had been on, but they found them on the truck for us. They were also very fast with both the loading and unloading of the truck which was great since we all had to drive back to the Triangle from Charlotte. They forgot to load a lot of boxes. We had to make two stops on the way across the country to unload a few items that were clearly marked so they would be on the outside, but instead they buried them inside the truck - so WE HAD TO RELOAD THE TRUCK! They just threw the last loads in without any care or organization! I called Raleigh Moving Company and they couldn't send help until 2 days later - after the truck was scheduled to leave. THEN... they offered to send one person early in the evening but we would have to pay! THEY MADE SEVERAL MISTAKES AND WOULD NOT HELP US. I am 65 and my husband is 70, and we had to unload and reload a truck in the heat! They do not care about their customers, only about getting the money! read more

I was looking at several moving companies in the Triangle for a long-distance move across multiple state lines, and after speaking with Sapphira, I knew Raleigh Moving Company would be my choice. She was so professional and informative, and I was really impressed when she told me that the company employs their movers full-time, and that many of the movers have worked for the company for years. The company is easy to get ahold of when you have questions, and everyone there is communicative and helpful. Sapphira was so helpful in coordinating logistics and answering complicated questions, and was so gracious and flexible when I had to change my move date. We also did a virtual walk-through the day before my move, so that she could be sure the team was fully ready for everything the following day. My movers were Travis and Wilson. Wow -- what a team!!! They were so professional, so courteous, and very experienced. It was clear that they really knew what they were doing, and that they were invested in the success of my move and in making sure I was happy with everything. Starting with the interview process, they were responsive, clear, and informative. We got a fixed price contract, and they were clear about what was included and what any additional items would cost. Our contract was for a move into a two-story house, but on moving day the crew was expecting it to be a one-story house; nevertheless, they sorted it out and honored our original agreement without charging anything extra for that. Moving an office is a significant undertaking and coordinating an office move cross country presents its own challenges. During the process, we encountered specific insurance requirements for one of our sites which Raleigh Moving resolved. However, despite being informed that our documentation was approved, the movers arrived to find that certain necessary details were missing. Absolutely stellar! From the intake phone call to the day of the move, everything was professional, impeccable, and efficient. We had 2 fully loaded pods that needed to be unloaded from our cross-country move into our new house. The team of 3 we had came at the top of the hour of the expected arrival window, they put down runners for the high traffic areas on our wood floors, and didn't damage a single thing during the move. They worked so well together that they finished the unload (plus some furniture assembly) in half the time that was quoted, and I was invoice the appropriate amount. Our move went perfectly. Raleigh Moving Company arrived on time. We walked through the house to confirm what was being moved in conjunction with the pre-move review done by Safira. After the walk-thru, the team begin moving everything into two trucks. Everything was double wrapped - first in a blanket and then in plastic. The load-out was done professionally and efficiently. Load-in followed the next day. Same process. We walked through and designated the rooms for our stuff to be placed in accordance with the inventory developed during the load-out. The team began the move, confirming as we went along what went where. Once placed, the build out started and the team was extremely amenable to repeated changes in where specific items were located within a room. We needed to move two dozen residential pieces to on-site storage in our garage, with half of them being quite heavy, and all being vulnerable to scratches and dents. We had just had our wood floors refinished and we were hyper sensitive. We were assigned the same team for the move-out and the move back in. They took great care in laying down floor protection and worked as a team to find the best technique for transporting and placing these very heavy pieces of furniture. They were courteous and conscientious throughout. That held true for the back office as well. Sapphira always answered the phone. She was very communicative, courteous and reliable. Greatest moving company since the invention of people! These guys were so awesome I wanted to invite them over to just move stuff around in my livingroom for fun but the front office said no. My wife was holding back tears watching how efficient, respectful, and quick these guys were unloading a 28' trailer. The kids were clapping and cheering them on. The actual move was pretty good. They were on time. I requested 2 hrs but I should have requested 4. That was my mistake. I was moving from a 200 sf storage shed to a 300 sf storage shed. It took seven hours to move everything including a 30 min drive. I was disappointed in this. The last time I had this stuff moved it took 4 hours. Had I known that I would have chosen a different company. They were careful with my stuff which I greatly appreciated. I noticed them on their cell phones several times but not for long. In my opinion, they should have hustled a bit more. It wasn't hot, about 80 degrees. I won't use them again. read more

Raleigh Moving Company provided awesome service for unloading our Large Pods from a cross-country move. Mir and his team were awesome! They showed up ready to work, looked professional and brought everything we needed with them. Mir was great at clearly communicating the entire time and made sure that we received white-glove service. We were amazed and how quickly and easily they moved our extremely large and heavy pieces of furniture. They even helped reattach some parts that had rattled loose in the move. This was a great experience! Raleigh moving company did a video quote and scheduling was very flexible. They moved me about 10 miles away from a 3rd floor 1 bedroom apartment to a 2 story home. It took about 5 hours and they were more than efficient. I had 3 movers. They were very professional and super attentive. They asked me where to put everything. Will absolutely use these movers again. We needed a move into a 3 story townhome and they never once complained or made me feel guilty about how hard they had to work. A lot of my stuff was very heavy and I could tell it was really difficult but they handled it like pros! They were professional, kind, and they pay attention to detail. They wrap all your furniture for you and are really careful with everything, including your floors walls etc. They even disassembled/reassembled furniture as needed to be able to move them up and down stairs. The estimates process was smooth; their up front estimate process took a lot of the anxiety out of hiring movers. I didn't have to worry at all about extra fees for stairs, weather, etc. and updates a few days before the move were pretty easy. The moving crew arrived a little early, communicated well beforehand via text and in general during the move. Everything that needed explaining was explained pretty clearly; I didn't feel any stress signing the paperwork. The crew was super polite, the guy leading the group really seemed to go the extra mile with making sure I was satisfied with everything and how my possessions were handled. Everything was handled with proper care, they wrapped and covered what needed to be so it made it up and down stairs protected and so that the stair way was protected too. If you want someone to roll out the blue carpet for you, yes blue, then you need to contact Wilson from Raleigh Moving Company! Just because the carpet is blue, doesn't mean you don't get a red carpet experience. I had a unique moving request and with short notice, Wilson was able to accommodate. I needed an oven moved in and the other moved out. Wilson took extra care by 1) rolling out that blue carpet mentioned above all the way from my front door to the kitchen where the oven was 2) while moving the oven in/out he cared for my home and floors the same way I would if not more. I had such a wonderful experience. He is so easy to work with as well as honest, trustworthy and reliable. Best of all, he does it with this giant smile on his face. He lifted something that weighs 300 pounds with the same effort it takes me to lift donuts. Yes. I lift donuts. To my mouth. They worked hard to fit all my stuff into the truck and then when we got to the house, they moved furniture from the garage into the house the moved the stuff in the truck with some going into the house and the remainder into the garage.
