During a desperate situation due to cancer and not having any insurance I was in temporary need of…read moreonly $100 and all I had to offer was a pistol left to me by my father. I really hated to use it as collateral, but I had no choice and no where else to turn to. Teague's had a few good reviews on Yahoo (I believe), so I decided to talk to them and see what they could do for me. I explained my situation and was loaned the $100 against a pistol worth approximately $600 (but it was priceless to me). I was told that I had 90 days to claim my pistol and I also asked if they would notify me prior to the 90 days because radiation in and around the brainstem and neck can cause lots of problems. The employee stated that a letter is usually sent, but that he would make a note of it (in the computer I expect) due to my extenuating circumstances. The 90 days was up on Christmas day, I never received a letter or even a courtesy phone call. Teague's sold my fathers pistol on December the 26th!!! Teague's is a greedy, heartless group and please do not use them if you are ever in a desperate situation and by all means do not leave anything of sentimental importance with them. I've since spoken to 2 people that used David's Pawn and Rock Hill Pawn and both of them received a letter 2 weeks prior to the 90 day term and Rock Hill Pawn even placed a courtesy phone call at 1 week prior to the 90 day term! This pistol was the only thing that I was able to inherit from my father and Teague's knew that and they also knew that I was in dire health condition. They fully acknowledged that they would contact me prior to the end of the 90 days. Teague's just assumed that I had died and they could make an easy $500 off of a cancer victim!!! Bump! Teague's robbed me of my fathers Colt Trooper .357! I hope someone steals something from everyone of them. Something that can't be replaced!
