Beware suspect sales practices. My minor child visited this location with a high school friend to workout. Sales rep had them fill out waiver to workout and pay $1.99 for the day. Told them if they liked the experience and wanted to join just had to let him know and would be $29/mo. They left understanding nothing would be charged until told they wanted to join. Magically we are being charged despite asking to join. A. A minor cannot sign a contract B. Deceptive sales practices C. Lesson learned to NEVER sign anything without reading and having an adult review. We learned after the visit a family member was a member there and got a skin disease from the unclean equipment which cemented the decision to not join and instead join the Sports Mall across the street. read more

Stopped in to try this gym out for a few days. First the gym is well set up, plenty of options for cardio, circuits, plate loaded and free weights. Easy to get in a workout even when busy. But what I really appreciate was the way Raegin Evans toured the club, shared membership options and gave me a chance to use the 7 day pass. A gym's staff can come off pushy, arrogant, etc very easily. But she was personable, direct and clearly laid out my options. I may not end up in SLC, but if I do this will be the gym I use. read more

This location is horrible. The bathrooms are filthy, the equipment is constantly broken. We paid to be able to take advantage of the water massage chairs, but they are ALWAYS broken. The movie theater regularly is down, the HVAC regularly goes out, and the staff is rude and they have literally STOLEN $450 from my bank account. When calling, conveniently, NONE of the managers are available to speak with me. The front desk staff is incredibly rude. 100% do NOT give them your payment information. They steal and then they refuse to speak with you about their theft. You can do better literally ANYWHERE ELSE!!!! read more

I moved to San Diego a couple years ago and really miss this gym. It feels silly to say, but it was such a perfect fit for me. I've tried several gyms in San Diego but have ended up disappointed with each one because they pale in comparison to this gym, and even the EoS locations in San Diego are terrible (the pool was horrifically dirty to the point that the health department closed it for several months, vs the pristine pool at this location). Every new subpar gym I've tried has reminded me just how good things were here! Nothing much to change from my original review, except maybe adding that I loved the massage chairs in the recovery room. I really miss the clean pool, the yoga classes, being able to go 24 hours a day, the amazing price... If you live in SLC, definitely take advantage of this gym! read more

Despite having plenty of equipment I have had a very poor time at this location do to comments from the staff. I had miss placed my keys and was checking with the front desk when the man working there 'Kent' was taking a picture of someone who I'm assuming was signing up. Kent made a comment about this 'Chick' (me) photo bombing this new member (a much older man) and how he should tell people that I (a minor) could be he's crazy ex girlfriend stalking him. The poor new member and I exchanged awkward glances and when I talked with Kent about my missing keys he continued to make more remarks about my age and relationship status. I am so disappointed with the lack of accountability and customer service. I have contacted your team multiple times regarding incorrect charges, and every single time I was ignored. No response, no resolution, nothing yet you continue to withdraw money from my bank account. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Charging a customer while refusing to respond to their concerns shows a serious lack of integrity and respect. I expect a manager to review this immediately, stop the incorrect charges, and contact me to resolve this situation. If this is not handled promptly, I will escalate the issue further through my bank and appropriate consumer protection channels. My review is of this EOS location and not the chain as a whole. Honestly it seems the biggest issue is the building it is located in. It has poor ventilation and is very hot. Honestly there is no need to use the sauna if you plan to use the machines on the south side or the free weights on the north side. This issue alone makes it hard to give this EOS location a good review. The locker rooms are also very muggy and hot due to poor ventilation. This is also a slightly smaller location than others, so be prepared to not have very much room to spread out. Especially considering how busy it is on week days. I was pleased to see that there were very few machines under maintenance. read more

Worse than Vasa! I signed an agreement to start up personal training because they owed me over 15 personal training sessions from a year before but conveniently for them failed to tell me that I would have to sign back up to use them if I waited past a year. I understood the contractual agreement so I took my loss and signed back up to use my sessions under the stipulation that I would be able to cancel as I was moving to Wyoming away from any EOS locations. Which they said was covered in my agreement. I put in my cancellation TWICE and finally got a call back after I threatened them. When called it was confirmed on 10/21 that my account would be cancelled and I would only be responsible for billing up to 30 days as mentioned in the contract. I paid for the additional 2-3 payments I expected to come out. I even emailed them asking them to confirm that I would not be charged again on the 24th (which they of course never responded to again). Then here comes the 24th and I've been charged causing an overdraft as I wasn't expecting the funds to be taken out of my account. I call and they tell me it's an 85% chance it can be refunded and that I have to wait a week for an inquiry. This is absolutely the worst gym business model I have ever dealt with!! Vasa at least sticks to THEIR OWN contractual agreements with their clients and care about customer service when they do mess up. But to say, we don't know if we can fix this even though we can absolutely see it's our error is just ridiculous. Take your money to Vasa, at least if give them a 2 star. read more

Recently started at EoS in Murray. They were so helpful getting me set up even when I had the pass thru work. They helped me to get everything set up and offered options to help me be successful without making me feel pressured. Down 10 lbs in 3 weeks and feeling like I have a great start to the new year before it's here! The locker room has to be the most disgusting, grimy, filthy mess I've ever seen. The health department should be notified of the mold, mildew and bugs that are crawling in the shower stalls. It's probably cleaner in a mountain out house than this locker room. read more

A couple visits in a row now I did not get access to amenities that I pay for monthly and brushed off without concern. No towels? Broken sauna? The workers there do not care they will continue to go about their gossip with no concern for you. They get paid to be here but don't actually do anything. read more

I signed up for my membership in July at EOS because they had a pool and after touring the location, I knew this was perfect. The facility is extremely clean and the machines are all in working order. If something is broken, the next day it is fixed. There are plenty of machines and weights for all the people that come in. There is never a time it is not busy, but with the being said, there are always plenty of machines available. I especially like the movie room with plenty of cardio options (as someone who LOATHES cardio, this is perfect for me). I don't have any kids, but the daycare looks amazing and I have heard wonderful things from parents. I grew up going to the gym daycare where my dad went (NOT EOS) and this daycare at EOS is next level!! There's a ton of stuff for the kids to do, but as I said, I'm not a parent and only know parents who have kids in the daycare who say wonderful things about it. Now the most important part: Personal Trainer Program I put in an interest form on the website and the next day, Alena reached out to set up a day and time to meet that same week. She outlined everything very well and was transparent about the offerings. The price point seemed a bit high at first, BUT having signed up and experiencing the training firsthand, I can say without a doubt, it is worth every penny. My amazing trainer, Ally has helped me get back into the swing of things for fitness and I have noticed results already, just after two weeks. She personalizes the workout plan (based off of my likes/dislikes/body needs/flexibility/etc) and motivates me even when I am on my laziest of days. I have even started "craving" the gym instead of alcohol (which was a huge problem point for me prior to meeting Ally and Alena, and I can say that I haven't bought any more beer since running out the day before I met them!). I am learning so much about my body and what I should be putting into it, what areas to work more than others, and increasing my flexibility and endurance. I am taking so much better care of my body and FEELING great, which I never thought would happen again after losing all hope and motivation when I graduated high school and no longer was in a sport on the daily. My life has truly changed thanks to EOS, Alena, and especially Ally. I look forward to see where my EOS lifestyle continues to go! read more

This place is bullshit, and the front desk is not helpful. My wife and I had a membership there where she was the primary and I would go as her guest. Well our schedule changed, and we wanted to switch it so that I would be the primary as I could go more often, and she would come as my guest. They refused to do that, told me we'd have to cancel, pay an extra month on her membership as we didn't give 30 day no time, sign me up, pay for my month as well as hers, and pay the 50$ fee for rate loc on the "new" membership. We've switched primaries at other multiple other gyms before, I'm not gonna pay them 100 between overlapping and extra fees just to change. Canceled our membership and will be going somewhere more reasonable. read more

I walked in to cancel my membership a few months ago as there was no option to do so online and a front desk worker assisted me. I was told that my membership was canceled and I was "good to go" when in reality the front desk worker never canceled the membership. I admit my own naivety for not pressing for a receipt and just trusting it was done. I received a charge for an annual fee the following month. I didn't not appreciate either the negligence or dishonesty of the worker. When I went back to discuss the issue with the front desk manager he was only able to issue a fraction of a refund. I will not consider rejoining this gym as a result. The fault of an employee should not result in me being penalized. read more

I was a member of EOS Fitness for less than a week before canceling due to major issues. The gym is unbearably hot, and I nearly experienced heat stroke twice while working out. They openly admitted they have no working AC and have been "trying to fix it" for over eight months, which is completely unacceptable. When I canceled, they forced me to pay the annual fee **plus** my monthly membership, which totaled $78--despite only being a member for a week. This gym is not a safe or professional environment. I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding the handling of my membership cancellation and refund request. On the 19th of this month, I visited your gym to cancel my membership, which was due for renewal on the 22nd. I informed the desk clerk that I understood and accepted the 30-day cancellation notice for the monthly membership fee, but requested that the annual membership fee for the upcoming year be stopped, as I would no longer be a member of the gym. Despite my clear instructions, it appears that my request was not properly processed. I have since called your establishment and spoken with a manager, who placed me on hold for an extended period of 52 minutes. Then was sent to a manager's voicemail without receiving a response. I am requesting a full refund of the annual membership fee, as I will not be utilizing your services in the upcoming year. I believe it is only fair that I am not charged for a service I will not be receiving. read more

This gym is clean and the equipment is fairly new. It can be busy at times these days. I'm hoping that dies down a bit. Occasionally equipment breaks but it's fixed faster than most other gyms I have been too. Staff is great. I have low self esteem and they forced me to take a picture for my membership after 8months of already being here. I'm FAT and they bullied me. 1 star is even generous. DO NOT SIGN UP AT THIS GYM, I'm not sure if it's just the Murray location or all of them, but they are AWFUL. I have been trying to cancel my personal training for months now. I wanted to freeze it originally, but they were unable to freeze the personal training for months, with no explanation as to why. I then chose to cancel completely. I continue to be charged. I was promised a resolution and weeks later I continue to be charged. The GM Chris is absolutely useless and doesn't know how to respond to an email. His managers at the store have promised resolutions which have not been met. It is impossible to get ahold of someone at corporate. Not to mention the saunas and bathrooms are often dirty and gross. I would NOT recommend this gym. read more

I have been coming here since they first open in taylorsville and I love this gym but they really need to maintain the gym better! Some of the equipment has a lot of wear and tear and looks horrible not to mention that when I come in I always see equipment scattered everywhere!! Taylorsville needs to step it up. This review reflects the consequences of a declined service. This used to be my primary EOS location, but a constant decline in quality made me pursue a better experience at the Sandy location. The equipment is often not well-maintained, and the staff can be unresponsive to concerns. Additionally, this facility could use a deep cleaning as well as a remodel. I hope to see improvements in the future, as it has potential to be a great gym again. read more

The facility isn't very well maintained and I felt that because I had used EOS in other cities where I've lived I was going to have the same relatively good experience... wrong. No one here cares about the members or can provide adequate customer service. This was the worst experience I have ever had with EOS and has made me never want to come back to this company. There are a million other gyms out there that could provide equivalent services, heck even less and it would be better than coming here. I was very disappointed with how they refused to assist me when trying to put my membership on hold then straight up ghosted me when I tried to cancel. Maybe if you didn't play games with me I would have continued to be a member but instead I will be taking my business elsewhere and now stuck with a bad taste of EOS forever. She is really fun to work with and suuuuper helpful and knowledgeable! I would not recommend going to this gym. It's next to impossible to cancel anything. I had to contact three separate time to cancel my personnel trainer. The facility is very dirty and messy. If you want to workout in the green area they have very few weights, the mats are falling apart and the ceiling is constantly leaking. read more
