BE AWARE! This Gym has major disappointments. Most importantly, disgusting maintenance and repairs when needed. Currently the Women's downstairs bathroom has toilet water all over the floors due to a leaking "seal" under one of the toilets. So, when us ladies are trying to use the facilities, we are 'strandling' toilet water. Have talked to Management several times and their excuse is that they are MOVING and have put in '"TICKET" and nothing has been donw in two months.....Then lets talk about the usage of the equipment. Groups of 5 people will "TAKE OVER" a machine and do multiple 'sets' letting no one else in. Then there are the obnoxious gym users, who think they know how to LIFT weights and SLAM them, breaking the cables repeatedly. They have NO STAFF upstairs to monitor the do-badders. Endless runaround for a simple referral credit Extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability here. I referred my wife under a promotion to get a free month after three months. The credit never applied, and when I went in, I discovered the employee who signed her up forgot to log me as the referral. Instead of fixing their mistake, Manager Russ G. claimed he had to "submit a ticket" and told me to check back in two weeks. When I followed up two weeks later, Russ claimed he submitted it, but couldn't provide a ticket number or any proof. I seriously doubt anything was ever submitted. read more

All I wanted to do was to quit my membership. What a nightmare! They hand you off to some service that made me listen to recordings and after a long time I got a person who I couldn't understand because of their foreign accent. She made me listen to offers to stay a member like a free training session etc... I told her I just want to cancel my membership. The entire phone call took literally thirty minutes and at the end I was informed my membership would be canceled but that I'd be paying for two more months and that I could still use it. Horrible! Was much better as golds gym. Nothing to wipe down machines with, now they're charging $10 for towel service which was free before. Additional 20-30% to access a towel. The machines don't scan the previous cards so they require you to download the app and carry your phone with you. It is a really small space and often machines are taken up. The upstairs is under construction with 1/3 of the space not available. Also the machines are always under repair and don't ever get fixed read more

As other people below have mentioned, I had the exact same experience with only being in town for a month and signing up. I explicitly told the employee signing me up that I would only be there for a month and they told me I can cancel at any point. Turns out there is a 30 day limit and you have to pay for the two months following my cancellation. Very scammy behavior, I would highly avoid if you don't want to end up spending an extra 100$ for no reason. They will also keep charging you even though you have cancelled and then send your account to collections. Their billing is controlled by a third party company so they can tell you that there is nothing they can do and you have to talk to that company. Please avoid at all costs if you don't want the biggest headache alive. read more

When a person walks through the doors of a business, they are either a client or a future client and should be treated with a high level of customer service that is focused on customer satisfaction and client rapport in order to properly maintain integrity of the business. My experience was with the operations' manager; if the operations' manager is only able to handle day to day operations and does not know how to properly engage with the public, he should not be at the front desk directly interfacing with clients and future clients, as it tarnishes the brand. In communities like Santa Barbara, a business's reputation relies heavily on word of mouth, and it is no surprise that these reviews reflect a similar experience; if this business is to survive, a lot will have to change- You won't be getting a dollar from me, but here's my two cents. read more

Absolute SCAM. Good luck cancelling membership without them charging you so much. Our daughter signed up, attended and paid monthly, until she needed to move away for a while. She called them and cancelled. There was no mention of paying extra months, they simply did it. When we realized their charges we contacted their financial services (ABC financial- please read their horrible reviews), they were rude, didn't speak clear english and didn't care at all about customer satisfaction. Even then, they said that our cancellation is pending until we pay another month. We thought talking to the gym directly might be more beneficial. We spoke to David "the manager" who agreed that our daughter hasn't been to their gym for months. He sounded "nice" and said that he will place a "ticket" to help us. At some point we spoke to Sercan who also sounded nice. But after the first call, we had to call several times a day to get hold of David. He seems to be always on lunch or with other customer. Never returned calls and rarely replied to emails either. Meanwhile, they are still accumulating "late fees" even after charging and receiving 3 months worth of service 4 months after our daughter canceled and 5 months after her last visit. We spent so long trying to close this but this is not really their intention, rather to accumulate more charges and send their horrible financial company after you... all while David is playing nice. Be aware and look for a gym that actually care about customer service. read more

Doesn't ever have towels. I came here before work, got in a good workout and needed to shower before work. Now I have to go to work sweaty and possibly smell bad. I stopped by the Gold Gym downtown-- now known as EOSand David helped me out. He was so great. I had my kids with me and they were being a little loud, but he was totally understanding about it. He helped me sort out my membership and was just genuinely nice. I really appreciated him. I'd definitely recommend this gym. The staff is really friendly and awesome. If you're looking for a gym with good deals, you should definitely say hi to David and the crew. They will take care of you and make you feel welcomed. read more

If I could give zero stars to this gym, I would my husband has been with them (when it was golds gym)for over 10 years. so when he was going to be out of town until January 2026, I called in October to let them know if they can pause the membership whoever I spoke to said they were transferring to EōS fitness And that she didn't know if they could pause the membership that she would have her manager. Give me a call. Tried to sign up for a month while I was here for winter break. Told the person that I was signing up with that I was leaving and that I only wanted to pay for a month. "Ok great we can have you sign up for a $1 today and then $60 down the line and you'll just cancel before you leave." Failed to let me know that there's a 30 day cancellation requirement so I wouldn't have even been able to have a month without paying for the next even though I'm trying to cancel 10 days before my next payment. Total scam behavior and they use the same agreement and 3rd party payment website as golds did. It's complete BS. Get a membership at fitness 19 or the Y if you don't want to get scammed out of $100 for less than 3 weeks of a gym membership. The people in the gym are nice enough and the policy isn't their fault but they can do better at explaining things like that which are extremely important to know or tell their bosses that this method isn't working.
