The texts which I sent on Mon., 8/3 and Wed., 8/5 looking for the promised quote have gone unanswered (today is Friday, 8/8). Allstate may or may not do good quality fencing work, but in my case at least their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

I requested repair paying his full fee. First he rescheduled due to not having necessary parts, after I contacted him. He ignored them. He ignored the next day's voicemail and texts. The following day I left him a voicemail that i will share this experience online. He finally called back 3 days later, and be said "acts of God" is not under his warranty to which I responded that is why we have agreed to pay your fee. You no show!!! His reaction was that he was busy at another job and this was not worth his money, he was doing us a favor charging only $150. I explained again I have agreed to pay the first time you gave us the fee. You no show. You didn't even text back to cancel. Then you didn't text back or call back to reschedule for next 2 business days either. He finally apologized and said he will come in 2 business days later ( today). Same thing happened. He no show again. Did not respond to a single text or call. Now it is the weekend. We have lost a full week for his 3 cancelations and the worst part is that the parts that are broken had fallen in the yard will be affected by 6 inches of snow we are expecting this weekend. This is so wrong and unethical. We could have repaired this with another company week ago if he had not given us appointments, he had no intentions of keeping. I wanted to use the same company that installed the fence only a year ago as it is easier for them to repair what they built. The latch of the door also broke off, it would not close properly. I would be careful about his warranty of his work if it fell apart so easily. For us there would be no warranty because we just bought the house. He said it is not transferable. But as i said before, i agreed to pay him the fee that was quoted. So irresponsible and no communicative. Even the worse of contractors at minimum text back to say something came up. This guy disappears!!

I hired this company last September to close my pool and chose them again this year because they…read morewere already familiar with it. My appointment was scheduled for 10:00 a.m., and I requested it be moved to 11:00 a.m. However, the technician did not arrive until 2:30 p.m. Only one person showed up, despite the heavy rain that day. When I asked if the pool could still be opened, I was told it could. During the visit, the technician added chemicals, poured water into the pump, and informed me that two PVC pipes needed repair. At the end of the service, he told me I had a leak or crack in my skimmer and estimated repairs could cost $3,700. He recommended getting a second opinion. I did, and the second company quickly determined that the skimmer was not the issue. The actual problem was a cracked valve, which they repaired. They also discovered that the pump gasket was missing, preventing the pump from operating properly. When I informed the original technician, he told me to purchase the part and said he would stop by with the correct gasket. A week later, that still has not happened. I paid $450 for pool opening and preparation, plus another $200 for pipe repairs. Despite that, my pool remains green with algae, and leaves and debris were left in and around the pool area. The service was delayed, the problem was misdiagnosed, and there has been little follow-through to resolve the issues. Based on my experience, I am disappointed with the quality of service and the value provided for the amount charged.

I am writing this as my 2 1/2 year old fence is being replaced by a different company. The fence…read morethat was removed was the third fence installed by GM over a 20 year period. The first two were excellent experiences. This recent fence also looked great at first but we saw serious problems develop including sections that were bowed and sections that disconnected from the posts. They refused to come out to fix the early issues so I figured it was time to give up and get something new. It was only today that I was able to see that our issues were due to shoddy installation. First off, they never removed the old posts but just cut them down. If they encountered difficulty driving a post to the correct depth for stability, they cut the post instead of digging. They also left a fair amount of debris in a stretch of woods behind the house. The new fences was a little less that the GM fence but the price includes digging out the old GM posts and cleaning up the old debris.
