One of the cheapest spots in the city to pick up a board game. The pros are they have a massive collection, a giant library filled with rows and rows of games and collectibles. If I'm in the area, I used to stop by to peruse because I'm that kind of geek. I honestly haven't made them exercise their customer service skills because I research my board games and know exactly what I want. But I can see that newbies could be overwhelmed with all the options coming in. We decided to buy a board game for a friend's child, age 6. My boyfriend ran off to find a game at Meeple without consulting me first. He came out empty-handed, saying there was nothing suitable for that age range. I'm SURPRISED. There's a board game for everything there. I'm not an expert for games for six-year-olds, so I just Googled, found a dad blog and decided Catan Junior was it and purchased online here. They processed our order immediately and were ready for pick up the same day if needed. The truth is my BF was about to check out at Indigo, which is 30% more before I reminded him to check at Meeple again for prices. The only difference *I think* is the packaging art is slightly different and the box is larger at Meeple. If their staff actively asks every customer walking in and tries to help, they can convert more casual or newbie gamers--what a lost opportunity.

Apparently they also offer a consignment service where you can sell your products through them? Not too sure the details but there are shelves full of seemingly random stuff so if you're looking for an escrow to help sell valuables this could be an option..... You can come in and play games all day for a flat price of $7 (up from $5 six years ago, which is impressive). Have to bring in your own drinks though as there's no cafe although I guess fantuan does exist. Maybe there's a fridge of canned drinks I wasn't paying attention. There is also an annual membership that you can buy that includes various perks including a discount rate of $5 to sit and play Owner is friendly and knowledgeable and can teach various games, so if you're looking to learn something new or bring in a group for a board game event, this place is a fantastic option.

The prices were really quite outrageous, but the selection was amazing. The employees were pretty nice & the one guy took care of me pretty quickly. Walking around & looking at the Board Games , Card Games, Puzzles , Hockey Cards , + other stuff was so much fun. I wanted to buy so much, but could not afford to. It's like Walmart lol you go in for one thing and leave with 10. There's a pretty good selection of board games, both popular and obscure. If they don't have what you're looking for they'll gladly order it for you and give you a call when it comes in. The guys who work there are all very nice and very knowledgeable. The first time I came, I was still fairly new to tabletop gaming so I wasn't sure what to get. I had my eyes set on Agricola but after talking to the associate I realized I wasn't ready for such a heavy euro game just yet. The associate asked us what we liked and then basically went through their entire collection with us, pointing out and explaining various games that he thought would appeal to us. You don't get customer service like that anymore! All the games are also much cheaper than you would find at Chapters or Mastermind Games. They've also got tons of other nerd stuff like comic books, figurines, and superhero paraphernalia. The store is located in the back of the plaza so it's difficult to find if you don't know where to look.

Lots of fancy sets. Very cool to look at but I don't need to buy expensive chess sets at the moment. Their selection of games range in age/difficulty level so this is a great place for all ages. It's a nice place to look for a gift for those geeky type of people too that are into cards, comics, action figures and board games. There's so much selection and if they don't have something, they will try their best to get it for you.
