YUM! I ordered this via delivery during a nasty cold when I was craving something comforting that would hopefully also help me to clear out my sinuses enough that DayQuil stood a fighting chance. What happened instead was that I found my new favorite dish! A similar dish was served in a quaint gourmet restaurant in Albuquerque but using blue corn on the chicken over 10 years ago but it didn't make it. This dish is MUCH more flavorful and well cooked! I could easily eat this every night and never get tired of it! Be prepared if they say 30 mins or less it will be 45+ mins. Then when you're sat you won't get drinks or food for a while. We up and left. First time being there and I was astonished. Loved every bit of it. The staff was amazing and helpful. As someone who works in the brew world myself, the craft beers were so perfectly curated. Personally a big fan of the amber. My partner and I partook in the salmon and steak frites, could not believe how well they were cooked and plated. By far the best food and dining experience in the twin cities, their staff seem to genuinely care and try to make your dining experience as good as possible especially the ones around the bar like Emily. My personal favorite recommendations are the truffle honey fried chicken with potatoes (if you're not a fan of honey like I was, ask for it on the side to dip the chicken in and you'll love it if you like chicken and potatoes), brisket birria tacos (substitute the pink onions for grilled onion) and the spicy rigatoni with the crispy chicken breast and a 2oz side of cheese from the Mac n cheese if spicy foods get to you (pictured in my review with 2 added chicken breasts) and even their sandwiches are delicious and all come with a side of French fries. Came in on Friday night, had a 45 minute wait. Food was really good. Hubby asked for a beer and it took the bar FOREVER to pour a beer. Ended up comping it. We started with the brisket queso which was tasty. I had the salmon which was AMAZING. Hubby had the brisket sandwich which he said he would definitely order again. I've been wanting to try F1 since they opened in Fort Worth, and now that one has opened between Midland & Odessa I had my chance. First, reservations can be made online, which I love. While things were quiet at lunch on this Memorial Day, I prefer knowing I can get in quickly. The building is tucked a block off of 191 on Tres Hermanas Blvd. It's large, but you might pass it before you recognize the front. Inside, it's a nice casual spot with a large bar and two floors. The dining room we were in had two "garage doors" with windows. If the weather is right these can open onto outdoor patio dining. With Permian Basin heat and wind they may not get much use, but in late October and early November it could be nice. My wife and I ordered appetizers - the jalapeño-cornbread Wages yu corndog and the Aloha flatbread. Both were excellent. In a turnabout, she liked the corndog better while I loved the flatbread. A caution - think of the flatbread as a medium pizza in quantity. We had the brisket with potato salad and added cornbread muffins and a side of smokehouse coleslaw. You get a choice of honey mustard or peach bbq sauce and we both chose the honey mustard. Everything was tasty and we both had some left over to take home. We should have asked about the cornbread muffins, as one side (two muffins) would have been enough for both of us. We had intended to try a couple of desserts, but we had no room. Our server was sweet and kept us supplied promptly. The area where we were seated may have been half empty as it was a holiday Monday lunch. Overall, we're really happy F1 is available and we'll visit again as soon as we can without damaging our weight-loss efforts. read more

I'd like to start off by saying our waitress was amazing,friendly, attentive, and truly the highlight of our visit. The restaurant itself has a fun atmosphere and is very clean, which made for a great first impression. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. We ordered the guacamole, chopped brisket sandwich, and the truffle honey fried chicken. The guacamole tasted old and lacked flavor. The chicken was cooked perfectly crispy on the outside and moist inside but had absolutely no seasoning/ flavor, as did the mashed potatoes that came with it. The chopped brisket sandwich was also well-prepared in texture, but again, the flavor was flat. Even the drinks, though visually appealing, had little taste. Overall, the service and atmosphere were great, but the food did not live up to expectations. Sadly, this was a very underwhelming first (and likely last) visit for us. read more

We went to F1 Bar and Grill tonight and overall had a nice evening. The atmosphere was fantastic--upscale but still casual and comfortable. Sports were playing on all the TVs, but it wasn't so loud that you couldn't enjoy a real conversation, which I really appreciated. We started with the brisket queso, which was fine, but not quite what I expected. It was mostly queso with just a sprinkle of brisket and a small portion of chips--enough for each of the 7 of us to have a taste, but that was about it. For my main, I ordered the New York strip. The steak was tender and a good portion, but it lacked seasoning or much flavor. The mashed potatoes, however, were excellent. My husband had the salmon with broccoli and enjoyed it--especially the broccoli, which was cooked in a way he hadn't had before and really liked. We were meeting a friend there who brought her three kids, so we had four kids total (ages 6-13). I wouldn't recommend F1 as a family-friendly place--it's pretty clear that kids aren't the focus. There's no kids' menu, although there were a few kid-appealing options like mac and cheese, a hamburger, and flatbread. That said, our crew wasn't too into the options. I did appreciate that they brought out kids' cups with lids, which was thoughtful. Service was okay. Our waitress was polite but not especially warm or engaging. She had to go back to grab a pen more than once, which felt a little disorganized. Overall, I'd definitely come back--just not with the whole family. It feels much more like a spot for date night or meeting up with friends. The atmosphere really is a standout. read more

Service was outstanding! We were in the mood for some Texas briscut. Our server, Will, took the time to further describe the briscut items on the menu to us. We had a flat bread and a sandwich. The bread is fresh made, on premises, daily and was very tasty. The sandwich was piled high and the edges were falling off with wonderful tasting briscut! It came with a healthy helping of fries, and a big pickle spear too. I usually don't care for the crusts on pizza, but the flat bread was so good I just had to enjoy every bite and devoured the crust as well! Needless to say, we needed a to go box and had dinner out of it. The beer is made in their own brewery on premises by Chris, the brew master. When our server told me that, I mentioned I was a previous home brewer, myself. He asked if I'd like to meet Chris. I did and shortly he came to our table. I asked him to set with us and we talked about brewing for quite a while. (Brought back some great memories of styles and brewing techniques). Later I took a personalized tour of the in house brewery. Chris is truly a master at his craft. The beers I had with the meal, sealed that fact! Mmmm beer! (Quote from Holmer Simpson) I don't usually rave about restaurant/breweries, but this is in the top 3 of the best we have ever visited. We are seniors, and have been to many of them in California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, and now 1 in Texas. To sum it up, I highly recommend this establishment for a real treat to your taste buds and pallet, as well as the respectful and courteous service you will receive. Ambiance is very much brewery. Food was great. Drinks although took a while to receive, were good. We reserved a bigger party and were sat on the 2nd floor, it seemed like the AC up there was almost non existent, we were all so hot, sweating! Even though we had requested it to be adjusted twice. If the AC works downstairs, and I get seated there, I'll definitely come back! We were a large party which meant we tried a variety of the menu. I ordered the Filet and Wedge salad, my only recommendation would be to ask them to put the dressing on the side. 4 of us ordered the same thing and all found that the dressing over powered the dish. My favorite part was the Famous Butter Cake, so yummy! The Red Headed Stranger drink was amazing too! The Maui Ribeye gives a teriyaki steak taste. The Truffle Honey Fried Chicken needed a lot more Spicy Honey. I would give it a 5 star but the AC really made eating and drinking uncomfortable. read more

F1 Odessa is exactly what this town needed! The food is consistently excellent--burgers, steaks, ribs, and apps are always spot on. My go-tos are the Baby Back ribs, the filet wedge salad, and the spicy honey chicken. Banana pudding for dessert--it's a must. The in-house beers are fresh and full of flavor. I'm an IPA guy, and their new East Coast IPA is fantastic. It's exciting to finally have a true local brewery in Odessa. The vibe is lively yet comfortable--upscale casual with plenty of TVs for sports, but still date and family-friendly. I love that the space is split between a large bar and a separate dining room so that you can choose your scene. The service is always top-notch: friendly, attentive, and quick. The wait staff was so friendly and so good at their job. Food was good, but the service at the bar is bad they need more bar tenders for the size of the bar.

I like coming here in the evening for drinks but today I came to eat. The bartenders in the evening have always been on top of things. These younger bartenders today just didn't know what was going on. I sat there for a while and nothing then they look at me "ohhh I don't see you" but they passed me multiple times and then they laughed when they saw I didn't, they apologized. They took my order, food came out and not once did they check in or ask to refill my drink. An older gentleman sat there for almost 30 minutes waiting for his drink as well. I left and still he had not received his drink. He had to ask them can I get something to drink? The bartenders were so caught up with redoing drinks because they couldn't get them right or didn't know how to make it. Please hire people with more experience, I like coming here but man today just made me not want to go back. It was 3:30-4pm the place was not even packed, I can't imagine seeing them when it's busy. read more
