I'll start off by saying I have never written a review or left a comment, anywhere. The service from F1 Plumbing Services was so good that I decided to leave a comment. I purchased a home in December that was a tear-down, where they demolished the old house and built a new one from the ground up. As it is my first house, I wanted to make sure we bought a place that did not require any immediate fixes as I am not the handy type. Last week I found that my main level bathroom had been leaking water to the basement laundry room and mold had already started forming on my ceiling, needless to say I was distraught. I had emailed and called a ton of plumbing services to compare prices as well as hear their thoughts on what they thought the problem could be. Daniel from F1 Plumbing Services was by FAR the most responsive, flexible and the most reasonably prices. He came by this morning, on time and was polite, professional, and got the problem fixed without hassle. In fact, one of the plumbing services quoted me 5 times (literally) the price Daniel did and I guarantee Daniel's services were better than the company that quoted me that rate. I would highly recommend Daniel to any of my family and friends and although I hope I never need a plumber again, I'm sure I'll be seeing him at one time or another. My shower was dripping for some time already and the condition was getting worse recently, water still came out from the shower head even the faucet was closed completely. Was trying to get a quote from Yelp and Daniel of F1 plumbing replied within minutes, I sent photos of the faucet to him via text message and he told me that I could get free replacement cartridge from the company making the faucet, I never thought about that and was glad to know. Contacted the company and they sent a cartridge to me in 3 days so I contacted Daniel again for the replacement work. Daniel came within the agreed time and he was very efficient, finished all the work within half an hour even though my main water inlet valves was stuck and there was not much space for him to work, he was able to shut it off eventually and have my shower faucet repaired, now there is no more leakage from the shower and I am so happy that I have chosen F1 plumbing, will definitely contact him again if there is other plumbing work needed, thank you so much Daniel ! read more

After a not so great experience with another plumber who forgot to show up, I checked yelp and decided to contact F1. I've never looked back. He was professional, skilled and friendly. I called Daniel and explained the situation (leak coming into my room from the ceiling). He said he'd come by the next day between 10am and noon. He showed up at 10am sharp, was polite and pleasant, came in and assessed the situation. He said he would have to cut into the ceiling. He made one small cut so that he could peek inside and then made another larger cut to access the pipe that was leaking. The job was done in around 15 minutes. He was careful not too cut more than necessary into the ceiling and tried to make as little mess as possible. It's been over two weeks since he did the job and there's been no more issues with the leak. Also, his rate was reasonable. I won't think twice about hiring him again. read more

I live in the downtown core of Toronto. This is the second time I've used F1 Plumbing with Daniel and, once again, I'm a happy customer. I emailed some photos with a description of the problem in my shower & he replied with information on what it would take to correct the problem. When he arrived he cooperated well with the Superintendent of my condo building because some of the master water needed to be turned off. They exchanged phone numbers to be in touch with each other directly which was very proactive & left me free to do other things. He was prompt, prepared, and did a wonderful job on the shower which now functions & looks better than before. Cash was requested and a price was given in advance, so it was easy to have the cash payment ready when he was done the job. I called F1 Plumbing in a panic because my main sewer line was backed up right before New Years. They were at my home to inspect the problem within 90 minutes of my phone call. Our main sewer line had collapsed and needed to be completely replaced. To further complicate the situation, we were also having a new driveway installed which ran right over the main line. We were able to stop work on the driveway and the F1 Plumbing crew was able to get to my home in coordination with the driveway contractor. The main sewer line was replaced in one day, and the driveway work resumed the next day. Just had my basement successfully finished by F1 Plumbing and decided to write this review. In the past, I've had them complete some service work at my office, which had gone really well, so we had Daniel quote on finishing the plumbing in our basement. We had three other contractors quote on the project but decided to go with F1 plumbing because of a few reasons: he services was great; he was able to source some modern fixtures that my wife like; and his prices we're in line with the other contractors. In the end everything was completed on schedule and within the quoted amount. He even relocated the pipe supplying the backyard at the last minute before the dry wall was finished. Our shower drain was clogged something rotten and we decided via Yelp that F1 was the plumbing service to call. Of course this would happen during the height of winter when all of Toronto was plagued by freezing pipes, so we were told that Daniel would be out first thing the next day. Daniel came promptly, politely removed his shoes at the door and went to work. He had given us an estimate of a decent price upon analysis of the problem. Within 15 minutes and some elbow grease, the pipe was cleared and he decided that the time it took was a fraction of what he originally thought, he lowered the price by $30. All in all: reliable, polite and well-priced. F1 will definitely be getting my business in the future. read more

I never write reviews good or bad but feel that I was fooled by the positive reviews for F1 Plumbing Services. I was trying to be a good landlord and find a plumber with great reviews to perform some work in my unit. I reach out to Daniel via email for a booking for a kitchen faucet install and quote for additional work. I was extremely polite and tried to provide as much information as possible with photos for the work items. Daniel was a no show for the booking. Then when following up he had the nerve to tell my tenants that I never talked to him. Lucky for me I had the email chain. Based on the review from the site I expected more class. I had a kitchen sink blockage and found Daniel here on Yelp with great reviews. I called him for a quote (very reasonable) and he came over first thing in the morning today right on time. A true professional whom took off his shoes as he entered the apartment, helped clean up the area after he's fixed the problem, and extremely patient throughout the entire time - the great smile was a added bonus. Usually people in Daniel's industry just comes in, do the job but is lacking on the service side. After attempting to remedy the kitchen sink blockage by myself (to no avail), I contacted F1 plumbing very early in the morning to report my failure and ask for help. Daniel responded almost immediately. I didn't realize he was wired as well as he was, so I followed up my e-mail with a phone call, where he told me he had already responded to my e-mail. This all happened at 7:10 am in the morning. After giving us a service window that was fairly wide, Daniel called back to say he would be at our home within the hour. After wrestling with the problem for over an hour, our sinks drain properly. Very pleased with the responsiveness and flexibility. Price is reasonable too. read more

I contacted Daniel because I saw the positive reviews on this site - and I'm very glad I did. Daniel was asked to install a new faucet in my condo kitchen. What was supposed to be fairly easy turned into quite a task because the shut off valves were nowhere to be found. They were finally located behind my stacked washer/dryer. Not only did he climb up and lie on top of the appliances to see whether they were there, he had to do so to turn off the valves as well. He was very considerate and professional, and did everything with a smile, despite the extra time and difficulty. Now my wonderful new faucet is installed. Daniel from F1 came in to examine the cause of a rattle in our basement bathroom and to snake a toilet that frequently clogs upstairs. Not only did he diagnose the cause of the rattle immediately, he went to a nearby hardware store and purchased a replacement faucet which he installed in minutes. He then snaked the toilet and changed the flapper to ensure a string flush. He was in and out in an hour (including the trip to the hardware store) and his price was a fraction of what I expected (including the price of the faucet). If you're looking for a fast, reliable plumber who is not going to gouge you I strongly recommend Daniel and F1 Plumbing. read more

My toilet would not flush properly because some of the parts freely floating in the tank, on the water. I found F1 Plumbing by chance, left a message and Daniel called back promptly, He promised to come by the next day at a certain time, offered to call 20 minutes in advance. He did exactly as promised. The toilet insides are not standard, fortunately no part had to be replaced because Daniel made some tool from random parts and the toilet is as good as new. He charged barely the minimum for the call, he was friendly, trustworthy and obviously knows what he is doing. I will keep his card and recommend him to anyone needing a plumber. read more

After reading about Daniel here on Yelp I decided to try F1 out. What can I say? The reviews were bang on. He's a fast, friendly fixer. No wonder he's called F1. Showed up exactly when he said he would (when was the last time that happened??) then not only diagnosed my problem but just happened to have the replacement part I needed - which is weird as it is a rare part! He then went on to solve two other problems on the same visit, and charged a very reasonable fee. I hope I won't have to call Daniel again, but if I do, I know I'll be in good hands. Daniel was absolutely wonderful and he is the only plumber I will ever call. I'm very happy to have found him on Yelp. Daniel arrived on time; he called to let me know when he was 5 minutes away. I had a clogged shower drain which he snaked and showed me what the problem was. He tightened hardware in the shower that he noticed had come loose. Daniel took the time to answer all of my many new-home-owner, bathroom-related questions. He addressed my question about the toilet by replacing the non-functioning parts and quickly fixing it on the spot. He tidied everything afterwards and is just a great guy. We have just had a new kitchen counter top and sink installed. Daniel from F1 plumbing, dealt with the disconnection and reconnection of the sink and taps. The reconnection required pipes totally changing direction. We were very nervous about what appeared to be major work to us. Daniel was calm, efficient and friendly. The job was done brilliantly and with no mess. Daniel even kindly secured our dishwasher in place, something the counter top installers had failed to do! Needed a leaky faucet in the bath tub fixed. Didn't know a plumber so went on yelp and found F1 plumbing. It was a certainly a good find. Daniel is an ultimate professional. He promptly replied to my questions and willingly worked out schedule to fix the faucet. He informed me ahead of time what the potential cost would be if he had to replace the faucet handle in case the screw was stuck. He fixed the problem quickly and I was able to get back to work. I also asked him to check the kitchen faucet and he quickly diagnosed that the pull-out hose simply needed tightening. I highly recommend F1 plumbing. read more

I can't thank this plumbing service enough. My landlords recently changed the parts in my toilet and I've been having issues with it getting clogged non stop. Almost everyone who used my bathroom would clog the toilet and I didn't understand why; there's no way EVERYONE was bombing my washroom. So I called up F1 Plumbing and Daniel came to my doorstep right away. He took a look at the parts they put in and told me that they had been switched out to old, outdated, broken parts. Daniel was prompt, VERY competent, reasonably priced and a really nice person. He did 2 jobs for us - one to fix a broken water line to our back yard, the other to unclog the drain line from our kitchen sink, which was a difficult job indeed. The clog was 40 feet from the sink so he had to go in through a cleanout in the basement. He checked his work to make sure it was all in order before he left, cleaned up after himself and we are functioning again. I would highly recommend Daniel to anyone. Overall the best plumber experience I have had in 40 years and 4 houses. read more
