I called the shop one morning to get pricing to replace four motor mounts. The lady in the front…read moredesk told me you bring it over. We will tell you what you need and how much it is.. I brought it over that morning. They looked at it. They quoted me almost $1300 for the four motor mounts and 2 censors . I said no problem let's do it. Young lady calls me back the next day and says that there was a part that was damaged from manufacturer and there was a second day delay for it no problem. Two days later when I got the call that the vehicle was ready I picked up my vehicle drove it home. I got home open up the hood because I was still feeling something not replaced or fixed.. First thing I noticed is the dog bone as they call it, which is visible when you open your hood, the rubber inside that dog bone was still corroded and damage. Second mode amount visible from the hood it's at the bottom by the radiator improperly mounted screw was put in sideways. It looked very unprofessional.. I called him up let him know my discovery they said bring it in. I brought it in then Mechanic said don't worry about it. I'll get it fixed.. They stood with the car another day. He calls me the next day with a new bill. I didn't want no issues me thinking the car was fixed. I paid almost $300 more mind you it was four motor mounts in question. It was four more motor mounts that they put on the invoice . out of the four months, they are two that are not visible. I still do not know if those have been replaced.. I paid nearly $1500 for two mounts and two sensors. A month goes by the owner calls me. How was my experience and I explained to him I guess he was somewhat upset and wanted to make things better after I told him.. I told him that what his Mechanic and his front desk person did to me was abuse and was borderline theft. He act what would make it better me being a humble guy I just asked For a refund of the last part installed that ran about $300. Angel, I believe is the owner's name said that would happen to me. The vehicle erupted into flames in front of our home, inside our gated community, surrounded by neighbors. My 18-year-old sister had just parked the car, and she and my 10-year-old sister were only steps away from it--barely two minutes after turning the engine off. We are beyond grateful that they survived, because this could have easily become a tragedy that claimed two young lives. Instead of showing concern or accepting any responsibility, the manager refused to even reimburse my sister for the $220 she paid in labor. She wasn't demanding the value of the vehicle or the cost of the parts. She simply asked for the labor she had already paid for after losing the very first car she had worked so hard to buy. No amount of money can replace a human life. Businesses make mistakes, but how they respond when something catastrophic happens says everything about their character. I called A&J's to confirm that they would be able to do the work I was requesting. They said yes they would be more than happy to. Service request was removing old wheels and the tires air sensor. Then replace the sensors on the new wheels with new tires. A&J's gave me the cost of the work with new tires and it was way below the other competitors!
