MASSIVELY overpriced furniture. If you do some quick searching online you'll find many items in here available online for 20% less (or more) than they'll charge you. Also as other reviewers have noted, the delivery times for us and apparently many others are way longer than quoted. Kind of strange that some other reviewers are posting 5 stars and talking specifically about the commonly reported negative things on Yelp not happening to them. I'd do your research on this place and take the glowing reviews with a grain of salt. Questionable practices here and there are just too many of us having the same kind of bad experience for it to be a coincidence. read more

My friends and I were going out for dinner at Nello's nearby, and we had about a half hour to kill before our reservation so we decided to wander F2 Furnishings for a while. The store itself is massive (it's the old Famous Players movie theatre, although I'm sure more of the original building was gutted and renovated). They had all sorts of furniture dining room table sets, beds, couches, chairs, dressers, etc, plus decorative home furnishing accessories. Most of the decor here is modern, so if that's your decor style F2 might be a good place to look around. Unlike some stores I've been to the sales people here weren't high pressure. When my friends and I came in one worker said hello and let us know that if we had any questions just to ask. That's how I like shopping, let me know you're there to help, but don't pressure me or talk my ear off. So points to F2 for that. The furniture here is quite expensive (at least for my modest student budget), so I didn't make any purchase. Still it was fun to look around, and if you are looking for furniture and you have some money to spend F2 would be a great place to browse around at. read more

custom ordered my 12 chairs they came in exactly how I wanted them . The owner is awesome a real gentleman, sharon our sales lady was great and delivery guys did a great job. I recommend f2 to anyone that wants quality .I think more people that are happy should write a review. Sorry about all the people that were not happy. I have heard many good things about the custom furniture here and was pretty excited to get help making my home perfect. However. While shopping the lady helping me was rude and belittling. She even directly insulted me and my wife more than once. She really needs to work on her people skills. I do not usually write reviews but in this case I have made an exception. I might go back in the future because I did see some furniture that appears to be remarkable. But and thats a big BUT, if I see the lady who's name starts with a "w" im turning around and walking out. read more

Ordered a rather expensive couch from F2 and were told that it had to be manufactured and would be delivered in 4 to 6 weeks. After waiting 7 weeks we called and were told that they would now "special order" it to get a rush on. Huh!?!? We continued to wait and finally it arrived - well after the promised delivery date. They did waive the delivery fee after we went in to complain. As for the couch itself - it is not a very well put together couch. It comes in two pieces, and one of the sections is nice and firm, but the main stretch of couch sinks quite a bit, especially in the middle. The end result is that depending on where you sit on this couch, you will be sitting high or sinking low. It would be quite comical if I hadn't paid so much for the couch. read more

I read the reviews on Yelp, so when I went to take a look, I was EXTREMELY skeptical. My boyfriend LOVED the furniture, however, so we gave it a try. Our saleslady was Melissa and she was absolutely amazing. We purchased a glass dining table and sectional. Once we paid the deposit, our furniture would take 4-6 weeks to arrive. After reading the reviews, I asked MULTIPLE times if it ever goes longer, if these items would take long, etc. She could not promise me that it wouldn't come later than that time, but whatever. It was done and to be honest, we were so sick of looking at furniture. The prices were not too bad for our budget, but again, everyone's idea of "reasonable" is different. Approx. 6 weeks later, we received our furniture. The dining table was in pristine condition, and we love it to this day. (We received in Oct 2014). The sectional was a chaise, loveseat and "cuddler". Well, we were really stupid and didn't measure the space in which our couch would be, and it turned out to be wayy too big. As the order specifically mentioned no returns or exchanges as this was a custom order, I thought I'd try my luck anyways. After speaking to Melissa, she explained our situation to the manager and as the piece was quite popular, they would be able to do the exchange with a slight surcharge for shipping or something. PROVIDED we return the piece within the next 2 days. They were more than gracious. HOWEVER (I know, this story will never end, right), I was on the way to Calgary and having MAJOR personal problems and she could tell (i may or may not have been on the verge of crying). She said no worries and to bring it when I was back. Well when I came back, it was snowing and she called to ensure that I didn't have to bring it back that day. Anyways, I personally had an AMAZING experience with F2 and especially Melissa and I have my eye on a sweet futuristic moveable futon/couch. Once I sell a kidney, I'll surely be back there. read more

As a new home owner, I love going to this huge furniture store to check out what new stuff they have. We've been there over a dozen times and each time their friendly staff greet us. They are not pushy at all and let's us browse freely. There are not many places in Edmonton that you can find such modern furniture so I'm glad one finally arrived in the booming south-side! This is also the only furniture store that has an art gallery that we know of. Though I haven't bought any art from them yet, its still nice to walk through. We also like how all their furniture is from Canadian lines! We like their EQ3 line as it is both modern and affordable for young homeowners. I've seen their furniture featured in several showhomes and that is how we learned of them. We've bought a few pieces from them (sofa, dining table, and bedframe) over the last 2 years and the quality remains great. We still have some furniture we need to buy for the other living room and spare room so will be coming back often! read more

Lies. The EQ3 furniture we ordered were advertised as 'Made in Canada' which is complete BS. All my EQ3 Dawn stools have 'Made in China' stickers. It's clear it's just shipped to winniped to add four allen bolts before shipping back to Edmonton. Classic bait and switch. read more

Ok. Love the look of the furniture. But some of the floor models seem flimsy like they would break after a few sits. And the prices? Well let's just say should one wish to furnish most of your condo with F2 merchandise one would need to sell a kidney on the black market ... maybe both. All kidding aside, if you have some time take a look inside. This is modern Mecca and it does have some neat designs. If anything, it's interesting which is better than nothing. The upstairs is almost like an art gallery. There are mostly art pieces up there and it does provide something different to look at besides furniture. Not Trustworthy. Sold me a chair set (on sale) for over $700 and upon delivery, they realized the sale was meant for a different (cheaper) set. Instead of owning their mistake they tried to convince me to take the cheaper set or pay FULL PRICE (another $700) for the chairs I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR. I love the new store! When I first heard about F2 it was located at the South Common location. I bought two chairs and funky sofa and was really impressed with the products and the selection. I bought the peices for my small office space and they look great. Since then I have become big fans and friends with the staff and love that the bring some new style to Edmonton. I had such a terrible experience with F2 and will never shop there again. I ordered a dining room table in August and was quoted that delivery would take 8-12 weeks. It still had not arrived by Christmas. I was calling/emailing the store every week for updates and was told repeatedly the item had been shipped weeks ago but there was not tracking on the item (worth several thousand dollars). Over 50% of my emails were never answered. They did not offer to loan us a table at any point, I finally demanded it as we had nowhere to eat going on 5 months. To top it off they were NEVER apologetic and never once called us to update us, even when they said they would. Additionally, Sandra had assisted us with selecting a custom bench to go with the table. When we received it, it was awkwardly short for the table. When I emailed her about this issue...no response. We finally got our table mid January. I was so sick of dealing with them that I didn't bother following up with the bench issue. Every time I look at it it reminds me of this awful experience. The furniture pickings are slim in Edmonton and they have decent stuff. We have more furniture to buy, but sadly I cannot go back to F2 and will be sourcing products they carry from online vendors instead. read more

I'm moving to Edmonton from out-of-province and needed to furnish an apartment. F2 Furnishings made the process easier than I ever could've imagined! Shelley (my saleslady) worked with me over email to pick out the perfect furniture for my unit, coordinate delivery/assembly and payment. She always responded promptly and was extremely knowledgeable. The day before my move in I was able to go to F2 to pick out a few things in-store. Shelley was just as helpful as she was online and even arranged for my last-minute purchases to be delivered with my initial order (with about 12 hours notice). The stuff at F2 is stylish and high-quality- you get exactly what you pay for. I could not be happier with my experience and I'm looking forward to enjoying my new furniture. Yikes. The first thing you'll notice in this showroom is obvious Chinese knock-offs of iconic furniture and lighting pieces, except they're priced at about 80% of of the real items! Even though I personally find it distasteful, there is obviously a market for these "fakes" - but how does that make sense if you can have a beautiful European made product for a few dollars more? After purchasing a table on Feb. 16th, and telling the sales person I would prefer not to wait 4-6 weeks for a table, I was assured it would only take that long. Now it is May 12th and I am having to cancel my order as I was estimated another 2 weeks on my "early" June delivery. You should not have a floor model on the sales floor if the supplier can not meet the demand for it. Now I've wasted months waiting on a table the never came and have to find something else. I was excited to continue to shop here but I won't be returning after being mislead and not updated on my order even once during this whole experience. This situation could have been handled much better unfortunately. read more

Pro: I really appreciate that F2 has something new to offer(not just the same stuff you see over and over again in the big chains). The showroom is huge, and you can customize certain peices. Con: The receptionist is horrible. I called F2 once BEFORE we bought anything and asked to talk to the owner and was grilled about my reason for calling(None of her business). Then, AFTER we bought, I called to find out information about the peice, and the same woman answered. When I asked if she could help me, she said no that I would have to wait for someone to call me back. She was rude and I didn't feel like an appreciated customer at all. I won't be back. read more

We ended up ordering a few things from F2, and had a good experience with everything. Our chairs (via EQ2) were ordered custom, and arrived fairly quickly at a reasonable price. I was sceptical about going to F2 - because they don't have prices on the website, I assumed it must be super expensive. This is actually not the case, and the prices are about what you would pay elsewhere (although these is some really expensive stuff). The best part about F2 is that they carry furnishings that are made in the US and Canada. read more

My husband and I drove down from Yellowknife to pick up furniture for our new condo. F2 was the BEST experience (after hitting over 15 stores!!). We had really challenging needs as items had to be in stock and we were getting worried we weren't going to find anything until F2. Amanda spent an entire evening searching every part of the store for things that might work. We gave her ideas and room dimensions and she never stopped coming back with different options but was never pushy. We left with a sectional couch, coffee table, end table, and accent chair.. Avoid this store at all costs!!!!! Unless you like laying $$$$ and waiting months for delivery!!! We ordered beds for our twin boys in mid-December. We were told it would be 4-6 weeks for delivery. Now they are saying we will not get the entire delivery until the end of March (3.5 months for delivery)! As delivery dates came and went they never called. When we called to check on the status, instead of professionally accepting responsibility, they blamed it on the manufacturer and said there was nothing they can do. Every time I have been in the store checking on my delivery status, I have overheard some poor customer being told the same old story ... "there is a delay in delivery from the manufacturer." The store looks nice and the sales people are pleasant, but do not let that fool you. read more

I should have realized I wouldn't be impressed just based on their website. No prices shown. So I went to F2 today looking for an accent chair. There was nothing on the floor that I liked so the salesman showed me chairs on their website. I found one I liked and I asked what the price was. About 5 minutes latter the salesman came and told me it was 1390 (ish, I can't remember the exact number). I then asked to see the fabric swatch, and was told they did not have any for this manufacturer. So, they don't have the chair on the floor, or fabric swatches, really, do you expect people to pay that price and not see the chair or fabric swatch, and just pay on faith! We have purchased a love seat and 2 chairs (custom) from F2 a number of years ago and were very pleased with both the furniture, delivery personnel and store staff. We moved into Edmonton about a year ago and decided to renew almost all our previous furniture. We dealt with Shelley (managing partner) as we had done previously. Our purchases on this occasion included all new bedroom and dining room furniture as well as various tables and lamps. We did have one small issue with a slight imperfection in one of the console tables but this was replaced almost immediately after bringing the problem to the attention of Shelley. I cannot compliment the F2 staff any more highly. Delivery personnel are cheerful and more than helpful as well as being very careful with the delivery of the products. The staff that we have dealt with have been friendly and professional and the service received, especially from Shelley has been outstanding. I have recommended F2 to many of my friends as well as my daughter (who has also purchased from F2). I would not hesitate to return to the store for further purchases and would highly recommend the store for its customer service and wide range of good quality furniture and home accessories. read more

We ordered the Remi chair the beginning of November and was told we'd have it before Christmas. A few days later they called to say the fabric I ordered was out of stock and that if I wanted that particular fabric I may not get the chair until after Christmas. I'm the patient sort and let them know I was willing to wait. Imagine my surprise when I got the call to let me know the chair was ready to be delivered the first week of December! Great service from people on the floor right to the delivery guys. And the chair is fantastic! read more

I am giving F2 only a one star. They refuse to give prices out over the phone or via their website or contact through their website. When they have such limited open hours, and wont give pricing out without you going in, makes it very discouraging and difficult. The whole phone pricing "policy" really should be changed. read more

This store is enormous in size (I think it occupies a space that used to be a movie theatre) and stocked with unprecedented amounts of furniture. The main floor houses everything from ergonomic aluminum chairs to media units and sofas. Everything is unique, modern and sleek (think Architectural Digest). The selection is truly dizziness-inducing. The second open-concept floor is designed much like an art gallery and is where art pieces (paintings and photographs) are located. Beautiful selection! Now, onto the prices... They bite. Actually, they chew you up and spit you out. However, I realize that high-quality furniture cannot be cheap by definition, and F2's prices are completely justified. No doubt that whatever is purchased at F2 will stand the test of time and will remain pleasing to the eye. With God's help, I will test this theory as soon as I save up for the grey sectional that stole my heart during the first (and so far only) visit. P.S. We have been to F2 Furnishings many times since they opened on the south side. Our experience there, especially today, was beyond poor. We purchased a brand new Chaise Lounge but they were trying to deceive us by giving us the floor model without our knowledge. I am wondering if they were going to do the same with the area rug, but didn't give them the opportunity to sell us the items. We were in the store looking at a Chaise lounge; F2 seemed to have the one that I liked the most. I looked at it several times and finally decided to ask about purchasing it. Late December I was in the store and a young lady was helping me, I didn't know if the color would be right so I asked if they had a swatch of the material so I could take it home and compare it with the flooring and paint in the area of the house it was to be placed. The young lady came back to me and said that the item was being discontinued for 2013 and the floor model was all they had. I asked if they would discount the price because it is a floor model and she said no. My husband and I went back to the store in the New Year to look at the Chaise again as the store was having a sale and we were hopeful the item would be on sale considering what we were told by the young lady. We ended up speaking to the managing partner. We asked the managing partner again if there was a discount on the item and went on to explain what I was told by the young lady during my previous visit. The managing partner assured us that she could order the Chaise brand new and that there was no discount on the floor item. My husband and I decided to put in the order for the "new" chaise and area rug and were told it would be 6-weeks before our items would be ready. One week later I received a phone call telling me my order was in, 10-minutes later I received a phone call telling me that she was wrong the order was not in...I asked how long it might be, the young lady said approximately 4-weeks. On Friday, January 18th I received a call from F2, much to my shock, again letting me know my items were available for pick up, so on Monday we went to F2 to pick up our items. First the young lady helping us couldn't get the invoices straight; she gave me another customer's invoice to sign. As we were standing there waiting for our invoice to get straightened out we decided to look around the store, much to our amazement the chaise lounge we ordered and the area rug were nowhere to be found in the store. When the young man came out to let us know our order was ready to be picked up, my husband asked if the lounge was new...the young man looked at his invoice and said no, it is the floor model. At no time were we call or notified that we were getting the floor model...when we asked to speak with the managing partner we were told that she wouldn't come out, got the indication that this isn't the first time a fast one was trying to be pulled. Eventually the managing partner came out as she had to assist a customer from Calgary that had been waiting for her. The managing partner didn't even apologize to us, the managing partner tried to argue with me telling me that I was aware of the floor model. At no time did we think we were purchasing used furniture. I explained to the managing partner that the proper way to conduct business is to call your customer and explain the issue and then let them decide if they still want to purchase the items, not to try and pull a fast one thinking that the customer is nothing but an idiot. Then when we were leaving the store the managing partner commented to 3-of her employees "can you believe that" ... What I can't believe is that you a managing partner would knowingly sell customers used furniture without their knowledge and think nothing of it. Not that $.30 is a big deal, but that is what I was short changed on my refund. We will never shop at F2 and we will never recommend the store to anyone. read more

I purchased several items of furniture from F2. I found the absolute BEST bar stools I have ever had. Guests that come over always comment on them. This led me to return on a few other occasions where I added to my F2 "collection" with a beautiful chest of drawers, book shelf and some funky ghost chairs that I use with an older table. The staff there were hugely helpful, and most of the items I purchased were discounted from retail so I saved some money as well. On my most recent visit I was recognized by the Manager, Shelley, who spent some time with me and ultimately helped me find a great piece of art that now hangs on my dining room wall. We came in to look at rugs and were interested in one that had no price tag. It ended up being discontinued and they could not locate a price online. We left our number so they could quote us when they figured it out. A lady left us a message with the quote, so we came in the next day to take another look at the rug. We brought it down from the hangers, and noticed that it was a bit dirty. It was most likely the floor model, and we were aware that we would have to buy it as is since it was the last one. The lady was helping us that day(Janet) tried to tell us that it was probably dust and that we could just clean it. She then proceeded to walk on the rug with her shoes on... That automatically turned us off. The part that really did not sit well with us was that it was already marked up $200 from the quoted price from the previous day, and when we told them we had a voicemail with the store telling us the price, she told us that it was strange, and didnt know if anything could be done about it. The manager of the store was not there that day. Very poor serivce by this lady. read more

bought some furniture there about a year ago. wanted to match and buy more. sales girl said they didn't carry the stuff anymore and kept avoiding my request for the make and model. she was more concerned on trying to sell me something that could match rather than spending sometime to help find the name of the model as there's no markings on the furniture. really disappointed that the after sales service was horrible. really, you can't tell me the name of a product you sold a year ago from a picture? I buy furniture regularly for showhomes and staging houses. I won't go there anymore. read more
