My experience here has been very pleasant, from the very first email/text inquiry I sent them, to every class I have been to. Annie has been very prompt in setting me up for a free drop-in class, the subsequent Foundation classes, and initiating my membership. Melissa is a personable coach who is very patient with my questions (and over-thinking mind) during the Foundation classes. Jason is super knowledgeable in correcting my forms. Every coach I have met is very professional and approachable. The class-goers are diverse. The WODs are carefully planned with a huge variety. The classes are well structured with scaling options. The facility is very clean, organized, and HUGE with a nice lounge and 3 bathrooms/showers. They use Wodify to help you reserve/sign-in to classes, track your progress, check out the leaderboards, and even look up movements/techniques. Their website is up-to-date with membership options that include pricing - a feature that I really appreciate, because not that many boxes have their pricing listed anywhere. Besides CrossFit, they offer open gym, yoga classes, CrossFit Kids. They also host a plethora of community events and training. I highly recommend Old Line CrossFit to anyone who is looking for a clean and well-equipped box to workout with a team of professional coaches and friendly athletes.

I purchased a 10-class punch card just to try the gym, but they automatically renewed another package for almost $190 without clearly explaining the auto-renewal or the 5-day cancellation policy. When I reached out immediately and explained the misunderstanding, there was no willingness to help or work with me at all. Very disappointing customer service and zero flexibility or consideration. I would advise anyone new to carefully read all fine print before purchasing anything here. Such disgraceful and shameful !!!!!!

Butch and the rest of his staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and awesome. I have learned a lot in the first week and now know that every exercise can be modified to work for you! For example: I cannot do pullups but there are alternate exercises that get those same muscles working in hopes that one day I can accomplish them! All of the members have been very welcoming and the staff makes sure that they are providing tips so you are doing each and every exercise properly and safely. The gym is extremely clean and they ensure that everyone is following the proper protocols for Covid. I look forward to attending many more classes! They offer a free trial class so come check it out =)

The coach today was John and was great! I can definitely tell he is a good coach h e was walking around correcting and encouraging all of us. I am also very big on vibes! This gym had good vibes only! Not for nothing it's 7 degrees out today and the gym was packed! I freaking love it! The workout was solid today as well the strength portion was hang power cleans 5 sets of 5 I was able cycle through. The workout was 5 HPC, 200m row, and. 8 toes To bar. I was able to do the workout RX or as written the weight for the bar was heavy 105 for girls. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a gym. I'm happy at my current gym but I will say this place was defiantly well ran. The owner even put thought into how the lay out was to encourage new people. The squares are genius Hmmmm and efficient I would definitely pay to drop in here again! Also I was not freezing in the place! Nice! I was bummed when my friend didn't pick my gym ....but after today I can kind of understand her gravitation to this place! I will for sure at some point be back!

As someone who dedicates their life to work and exploring new food spots, working out has never…read morebeen my forte. I am a notorious quiter. If I struggle at something athletic, I am usually the first person to determine my time would be better spent completing work tasks not done during the work day. Turning 30, I decided I needed a change and signed up for the Southern Maryland CrossFit "Fall Into Fitness" Special. The "Fall Into Fitness" Special included unlimited classes for six weeks totalling $125.00 per person. My husband agreed to do it with me as support for a new step we both knew was going to be a struggle for me. Walking into Southern Maryland CrossFit, I did not know what to think but I was immediately greeted by Coach Amy who wove humor into her customer service paperwork requirements to help ease the obvious anxiety I was feeling upon walking in. Once you leave the small office, the entire remainder of the space is dedicated to work out space and equipment. Classes are on a rolling basis so when one is ending, the next class is preparing to warm up while other members are on the perimeter doing independent lifting tasks (ie. bench press, squats, overhead press). Warm ups are similar each day allowing for members to have some similarity and focus on the other components of the work out for the day. Each day of the week is different at Southern Maryland CrossFit and each coach works to support every members at their individual level/area of need. As a noob, each coach works with me on my form and help me scale the work out to a reasonable level (even when I am feeling spunky and try to go too heavy too soon). The coaches suggest members use a notebook of some sort to track their individual working weights and PRs; but if maintaining a notebook isn't your style (or you frequently forget where you put things), Southern Maryland CrossFit posts photos of their daily board onto their Facebook page. Overall, Southern Maryland CrossFit is extremely active on their website and social media platforms posting the daily work out, daily work out results, and even weekly messages from the owners! After a few months at Southern Maryland CrossFit, I feel stronger but something more important happened: I started to feel like part of a community. Each member is friendly, social, supportive, and down to help/scale with anyone whether you're new or a seasoned CrossFit participant. Even during the Corona Virus (COVID19) Pandemic, the Southern Maryland CrossFit Coaches and members have online virtual workout plans, virtual workout challenges, video meet ups, and frequent social media engagement. If you're a CrossFit kind of person or even if you're someone like me just looking to make a change to bring some healthy-ish balance to your life, consider Southern Maryland CrossFit. You won't regret it!

The place is not welcoming, the owner doesn't answer questions/phone, the hours are terrible. For me, crossfit gyms are supposed to be community-based. This is far from it. They won't allow for drop ins, supposedly because people are not respectful, but it really to lock you into the contract. On the only class was able to go, they give you all the rules. Drop the bar and that's 8 minutes of burpees for everyone but you. So much for community, pinning people against other. Drive 10 minutes more. Go somewhere else.

Although the facility appears much larger in the website photos and videos, it was smaller than expected. However, I was really excited about the experience. Prior to the free class, the staff member provided a comprehensive tour of the facility that included information about the benefits of infrared technology and fitness. The keyless entry location features 24/7 accessibility. As for the workouts, each workout station includes virtual instruction. My favorite was the cycling station. The rooms are compact and blazingly hot, but heat-adjustable. For this reason, I could not imagine being in the enclosed compartments with two other people. The facility not only features the HIIT workouts, hot-cycle, hot-thunder, and hot-blast, but also Isometric workouts such as hot-iso, hot-pilates, and hot-yoga. There is also a small workout area in the back featuring free weights. Smith machine and TRX bands. There are two bathrooms featuring glass showers. They also feature brand merchandise at the front. Overall, the location was clean. The workout rooms were clean, and the bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. Again, I think it is an interesting concept with some amazing results and benefit claims.

They offer 24/7 access which is also great. Maury took care of me for my complimentary class. I took the Hot Barre None. It was a good 30 min session. It's nice and clean in there as well which is what I love the most since Saunas are involved. It doesn't smell sweaty or anything. I love that they also have a weight area if you want to do some strength training. The membership price $59 is a steal for unlimited classes. I can't wait to return and try more classes. It's so many to choose from since there are 6 rooms; some have workout machines. The instructors are virtual on the screen. I highly recommend everyone try it out. It is low impact and totally worth it.
