I work nights. It was hard for me to do it, But I got up and made it to her 7 o'clock spin class.. Love Anatomy but I'm not financially able to continue. I had a very successful kidney transplant earlier this year. I was out of work for a while. I'm coming back slowly. Thanks Mike and thanks Dani for the day pass.

It was relieving to not see people taking multiple sets of dumbbells and going off into a corner for 30 minutes or people sitting on machines and texting the whole time like at many other gyms. The contrast cold & hot plunge pools are great for recovery. The infrared sauna could be much hotter. I'd suggest putting full sized towels at the entrance to that area in addition to or instead of at the entrance of the locker rooms. My only two gripes with this gym is that every day of the 5 days I came it was way too warm and humid inside even though it was only 75 outside (felt hotter inside - not comfortable), and the music was pumping way too loud so much that I couldn't hear my own music on the treadmills. O and also at least 3 of the ~10 treadmills wobbled like crazy. Overall I'd recommend this gym for the mid 20s to early 50s fit-oriented clientele who likes to be around like minded people. I liked how many choices they had stocked for energy drinks, protein, drinks, and protein bars, and how organized it was. The cleaning crew was continually cleaning and kept the floors so clean that I didn't even feel weird walking around the locker rooms barefoot which I can't remember ever doing. Also the gym is in a great spot to walk over for lunch at some decent restaurants at the Coconut Grove walk / pier or whatever it's called. And the parking was very good each of the 5 days I went. I was able to quickly find even free spots. Shout out to one of the workers Elder for going above and beyond with courteous service and filling me in on happening things to do around town during my visit.

Pilates is amazing, and Pilates One in Coconut Grove is the perfect place to experience it. This studio, which has been in business for nearly 20 years, offers so much more than a workout. They've created a space with a unique energy--walking in, you instantly feel safe and at home. I just finished a "Jump Class," and what a workout it was! It challenged me in ways I never expected, leaving me feeling stronger and more energized. The class was led by Jeannine, the owner, who has mastered the art of motivating and supporting her clients. Her approach is encouraging without being overwhelming, which is rare to find in a fitness studio. Even as a beginner, I felt comfortable and capable in her class. Pilates One has truly inspired me to make Pilates a core part of my fitness routine. I'm already seeing and feeling the difference, and I couldn't be more excited to continue this journey. Thank you, Pilates One, for helping me discover a new level of confidence and empowerment. Highly recommend!

I've been going to this gym for several years now. I get a good workout most of the time, but…read moresometimes the routines can be a little disappointing. Their class times are less convenient than they used to be. They have one class starting at 6:45 and the next one isn't until 8:30. The latter being too early for me, but 8:30 ends pretty late in the morning (and is after free parking ends on the street). There's definitely some instructors I like more than others. I stopped going regularly over a year ago, when my shoulder was bothering me and I found that some classes I would have to modify a whole zone and it was a struggle to get the instructors to suggest other exercises. Because they continue to play their music very loudly, I've taken to wearing earplugs to protect my ears, but then it's hard for me to hear the instructors. Doing a lot of the exercises on the floor hurts my tailbone and forearms (I wish they had yoga mats) and I miss the rowers (and towels!) they used to have. At least one of their bikes is slightly broken and their ellipticals have been broken at times too. They use monitors to show you what routine to do, but I would say 80% of the time something is cut off like the # of reps. Meanwhile other TVS will have nothing on them. I wish they would invest more effort in making it easy to see what exercises you are doing, especially when they have TVs they aren't using. Almost no one seems to use their heart rate monitors anymore. I stopped bringing mine ages ago, because 50% of the time it wouldn't connect to the screen and I rather use my watch, and who wants to be the one or two people up on the screen? What I find most frustrating and what prompted me to update my rating, is they constantly text me with offers that they will not honor. If they say they are for new members, I've just ignored them, even though it would be great if they didn't text me offers that aren't for me at all. Recently they texted me offering a free week to try their new workout version, with no mention of it being for new members only. Throughout the years, I've noticed changes such as added or removed equipment, but never noticed something drastically new, so I wasn't sure if it had been rolled out already or not. As someone who already works out there occasionally, but hadn't been a member in over a year, I thought maybe they were encouraging me to try to come more frequently like I used to, so I asked if there were any catches and they said no, and I accepted the offering, cancelling another class for next week to go to this one instead. The next day they told me they were revoking the free week. When I expressed my frustration that were not honoring the offer, they called me and aggressively made up a bunch of excuses such as that I texted back too late at night for them to know if I qualified (they texted me after closing time themselves and I responded that same hour) and that their system cannot tell if I come on classpass or not, but not taking ownership of that. Ugh. While I'll continue to partake in their workouts while they are on classpass because as I said I mostly get a good workout, this shady communication was another reminder of why I didn't want to be a full time member. There's been times I was charged a no show fee for a class I didn't sign up for (and therefore didn't attend). When I was a member, I was constantly stressed about if I would be able to use all my classes and I stopped looking forward to my workouts. When I did try to cancel or pause my membership, I always felt harassed about it, having to provide a reason, which is annoying. It has to be done 15 days in advance, which if you are new member, it's especially hard to know after two weeks if you want to keep going or not and I've even had them cancel my membership effective immediately even though I had classes left over! Other times they've been more accommodating, and extended my membership when their was a death in the family and I didn't get to use most of my classes. I wish they were more consistent and reliable with their practices and workouts. So while I recommend trying this gym, I do not recommend becoming a member.

My cousin was my partner in class and there was no lack of motivation as we made our way through 20 stations and got a full body workout including strength and cardio. Sara and Nico were both super welcoming and this gym has an awesome community feel to it where everyone feels welcome. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely be a regular here. Instead, I'll keep it in mind for future visits!

I have done this workout at their Wynwood studio and also the Little River location so I knew I was in for a challenging but fun workout. The workout format is PIT (Partner interval training) so you rotate around the room with a partner for 20 stations for 2 minutes each. Depending on the exercise you and your partner alternate for reps or time or work together. If you're someone who has anxiety about trying a new gym and having to pair up with someone you don't know - do not worry about this here! The trainer and also everyone in the class are welcoming and friendly so it's a-ok if you are walking in alone. I love the idea of pairing up with someone who's super into the class because it pushes me to lift heavier, try harder and make them proud. I have gone to Nico's 7:10 am class for the last two weeks and then another Saturday class with Andre. They break up the classes into strength, conditioning and performance days to focus on different styles of training, but I have grown to love the set up of this workout. The studio does have some parking spots in front, but there is also plenty of metered parking nearby as well as a garage. Pro-tip - if you go to a class before 9 am, the meters are free. You'll also want to be sure to bring a towel to this workout as the studio does require it. It's def needed because you work up a sweat and don't want to leave your equipment sweaty for your partner or other class participants. The energy and music during the classes with fuel you to an epic calorie burn, that is gaurenteed!

He gave me a very deep tissue massage, checked my body carefully, and focused on the muscles that needed the most attention. Since I work out, play tennis, and my job is also physically demanding, this massage was extremely beneficial for my body. I also really enjoyed that before and after the massage I could use all the spa amenities: the pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and hammam. It's such a great place to relax and recharge. The other classes I want to take are always waitlisted. The kids evening babysitting service is never available. I once had an eyelash appointment with someone who ended up being 45 min late and then she text berated me for leaving even though I had another appointment to get to and it was her fault she was so late. Today was the last straw, we are celebrating my daughter's birthday and wanted to go to the pool. My sister just flew in to celebrate and left her wallet at our house when she quickly packed to leave. Despite having been my guest in the past, they refused to let her in without her physical ID. She is so sweet and non-threatening, but the robots at the front desk were horrifically rude, offered no opportunity to speak to a manager and could not care less that it was my daughter's birthday. Human empathy and intervention matters. Sometimes you have to say -why do we have this rule and can we make an exception given the circumstance? The way that they treated us at the front desk makes it clear to me that all they care about is money, they don't even train their employees on how to be kind. My husband spends $1700 a month on private training and orthopedic services on top of the $600+ per month we spent on membership. They're really dropping the ball for something pretty lame. Good riddance.
