First off, I'll start with the good. The place is clean, and the staff is friendly. Appointments are on time. I bought two luxury packages for my husband and I as an anniversary gift, after reading the reviews. I wanted to love it, after a stressful quarter at work and a day off to relax, I thought this would be just the thing. It started out well. Low lights, quiet music, then a cell phone went off, not silent. It was the woman's phone who was doing my treatment. Ok, I'm thinking, maybe an emergency, you never know, let's give the benefit of the doubt. She answers the phone and walks out of the room. She comes back we get back to the treatment, another phone call, then a third. She takes the calls each time and walks out of the room. A man comes into an adjacent space next to ours and his phone is dinging as well. Now, that is not the salon's problem, but after the fifth interruption to what is supposed to be calm and relaxing, it's anything but calm and relaxing. The package is supposed to come with a shoulder and arm massage. I didn't get that. All in all, not what I expected or paid for. read more

I showed up about 10 minutes late so I felt a little rushed and I didn't know what to expect. Immediately they checked my hair to see how dirty it was. They said it was pretty clean. The head scrub was nice and the aroma that was put on my face was very nice. Maybe I shouldn't have had a venti coffee before because it made it hard to relax and I had to go to the bathroom. Went with my husband for a relaxing date night. We both got the classic treatment $99 each. It was magical! So relaxing I think i even fell asleep for a bit. I got the scalp treatment but it also came with the neck and upper back massage and i can tell he found a knot on the right side of my neck as he kept working that out. Blow dry included after and my hair felt so soft and shiny after. The sweet lady helping my husband noticed he had a lot of upper back knots (from work) and went above and beyond to try to work those out as his scalp didn't need much help and his hair is super short. I booked an appt on their website and it was an easy process. They texted me to confirm the appt. We were running behind schedule and they were very flexible. I've had a couple of head spa experiences and decided to get the classic treatment. They showed us our scalp with the cameras and took their time explaining things. The leg massagers were too much pressure for me. I was relieved when it turned off automatically. I'll go without it for future visits. My scalp massage was wonderful and exactly what I needed for scalp relief! I have struggle with dandruff/psoriasis/itchy scalp and the session helped relieve it for a few weeks! The appointment was at 4:30 the service was done before 5:15. My husband didn't get the full 1hr treatment. I went to go check on my husband, they didn't even turn on the massage for his legs. I had to turn on the leg massager machine and cover him with the blanket. My husband liked the scalp wash but said the massage was very minimal and very soft touch and didn't really feel it. He said they could have applied more pressure. They have a birthday special but didn't apply the 50% discount for my husband's 40th birthday. When I booked the appointment I let them know the scalp wash and massage was for his birthday and I even told them when we arrived it was his 40th birthday. They still charge me full price. For what they charge I expected the service to be better and a full 60 minutes. At least the place was very clean and nice. The staff were friendly but you could tell they didn't really want to talk when I tried to ask questions about adding on services. My friend and I both purchased the Signature Scalp Treatment. Most of it was ok, but definitely not as good as other hair spas I have been to in California and in Georgia especially for the price they charged. I was disappointed there wasn't more time for scalp/head massage, including a long period of time when they just had the water pouring on our scalp and they walked out of the treatment room. We also asked them what type of products they put in our hair and they couldn't tell us. They had two little kids running around so that made the experience less relaxing and definetly didn't feel spa like. I was also very disappointed with the "blow out" which was basically just the worse blow dry I have ever had. I left with very frizzy hair that looked bad. read more

I've been seeing this place on social media and was so excited when my sister booked us an appointment for my birthday. Walking in, we were greeted immediately and asked if we would like something to drink. We waited for about 5 minutes until we were taken to the back. The ladies did a scalp/hair examination and we got to see our scalp and hair magnified on their monitor. After the examination, we were taken to a room right behind the chairs we were sitting in. The room consisted of four beds with hair washing stations connected to it. The beds were separated with curtains so I was kind of in my own "room/space" but was able to see the heads of the other people walking in. The lady told me to undress my shirt and be completely bare up top. There was a towel provided to cover me from my neck to ankles. She washed and massage the top of my shoulders and neck area. As she was washing my hair and sprayed water, I can feel a little bit of water dripping down my back. So, make sure you don't leave your shirt/bra on or it will get wet. My sister and I got the 90 minute treatment and it was very relaxing. I didn't fall sleep, but almost did. After the scalp wash and scalp massage, she gave me a facial. Using creams, mask, steam. She gently massaged my face but I wish she could have put a little more pressure on my face and scalp. Time went by really fast. After we were done and got dressed, they had us sit back at the chair to do the examination again. They offered us water and soda (I think she meant sparkling water). Scalp looked really really clean. They used the blow dryer and brushed out my hair. My hair was really soft and shiny. I was able to run my finger through without catching any tangles! The ladies were and receptionist were very nice and grateful that we stopped by. They kept bowing and telling us thank you. I would come back just so I can have that relaxation time. My scalp still feels really clean even the next day. I feel like there's no more build up from products in my hair. read more

Finally got to try that Chinese scalp treatment all over selfcare TikTok. Experience is a relaxing treat. First, they did a microscopic scan of my scalp using a camera and monitor. (Don't forget to take your own phone before pics ) Next, I laid down -with bra straps lowered- for scalp care, facial and massage. They thoughtfully provided pillows for my knees and back. I finished up at a salon station with a relaxing neck, shoulder and upper arm massage. Followed by a post-treatment scalp scan and serving of refreshing tea. Fun, relaxing experience to try out. This was our first time at any type of head spa. Limited English speaking staff but that did not deter from friendly and attentive service. We booked the 90 min head wash and mini-facial. ~70min was the experience and the remaining 20 a quick view at before and after microscopic scalp cleaning results. They also blow dried my hair afterwards which was a nice unexpected plus:). Would go again if looking for a relaxing 1hour head massage and hair wash. They have automatic calf massager that they put on you too but let them know where to position it best on you when you start or it's hard to move it after. I'm so excited that head spa businesses are popping up in the Fresno area. I was blessed to be a given a gift card by my daughter for Mother's Day to give this place a try. I love that information on their services is transparent and provided on their website as well as on their front desk. Upon arrival, I was greeted with great warmth and hospitality. I requested the signature service. I was taken to the "salon" area and had my scalp checked by their fancy machines. Kinda gross but it's important to see the before and after. Then, I was taken to the head spa area. Let me tell you that it is sooooo relaxing. I fell asleep a couple of times that the treatment seemed like a blur. My hair/head was cleansed, treated, and massage. I received a facial as well. Neck and should massage. As you're lying there, they have a machine massaging your calves. Once you're done, you're taken back to the salon and you receive a scalp treatment with the same machine that had scanned my scalp. Lastly, your hair is blown dry. The only reason why I don't give it 5 stars is because I low key wish my hair would be blown straight. But, let me say this is typical of head spas. It's not a blow dry bar. Other than that. I got the Signature Scalp Treatment. Ina (sp?) was so so sweet & did a really great job! I appreciate that she wore a mask (I'm severely immunocompromised & have to be cautious w/covid still). She showed me my scalp on the computer & then took me to the room where there are a few washing stations. She used so many tools on me & washed my hair like 4 times. In the 90 min, I think she only had her hands off my head or face when the waterfall thing was going. Otherwise, she worked w/care & concern the entire time. Love her! Worker showed up late, I was the first client of the day and had to wait for her to open the doors. She didn't explain anything at all to me, nor did she talk to me at all. She was extremely rough with the messages I had to move my head away cause it was painful! She was yanking and brushing my hair so roughly I felt like my hair was getting damaged by the way she was handling it! She was not considerate nor did she seem to know what she was doing! My friend and I came in for the 90 minute scalp and facial. It started ok but then towards the end of the scalp treatment they just left running water on our hair and left. I asked if they could turn the temperature up on the water and remove the massagers they have on your feet and nobody was answering, so I had to take off my eye mask they had put on me and the employees were completely gone. They were gone for a good solid 10, maybe 15 minutes. Then, when they were doing the facial, they rubbed some stuff on my face and then just put a face mask on me; not a proper facial. The worst part about all of this was the awful blow dry job. It is not a proper blowout. They ran the blow dryer through our hair and then sent us on our way. We had plans afterwards and had to go scramble to find another place to go properly blow out our hair to look presentable. My friend has wavy hair and the person who was working on her told her that her hair looked crazy as she finished her up and sent us on our way. I was excited to try this for the first time, but I definitely will not come back to this place. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at FaXiangGe Scalp and Hair Spa. From the start, the service felt inconsistent, other clients were offered water, but I wasn't. The appointment didn't match what was advertised. I was expecting a 90-minute session, but it only lasted about an hour. At the end, there was no proper blowout, she used a dryer briefly, but my hair was still half damp when I left, which felt incomplete and unprofessional. I also didn't receive treatments that were mentioned, like Olaplex, and no Japanese snacks were offered even though that was part of the advertised experience. During the service, parts of it were uncomfortable. The scalp treatment was actually painful at times instead of relaxing, and it felt like the technician was just going through the motions rather than providing a quality experience. The leg massager even turned off midway through and was never addressed. Overall, it felt like I just got a cheap hair wash I could've done at home, and definitely not something worth $95. The entire experience felt rushed, inconsistent, and lacking attention to detail. For the price and expectations of a head spa, this did not deliver. I actually went across the street afterward and got a bubblegum Rebel, and I was far more impressed and satisfied by that experience than I was here. I wouldn't return. read more
