Across two visits for a suspected leak, we paid $1,020.77…read moretotal -- $246.07 for a 30-minute fixture test that found nothing, and $774.70 for a follow-up where they opened the ceiling/wall, still couldn't locate the source, and left the ceiling open with no repair (repairs are excluded from their scope). Their suggested next step was to hire someone else to remove tile and look again. Over $1,000 for two visits that ended with no diagnosis, no fix, and a damaged ceiling is not reasonable value for the work performed. The technicians were polite, but the pricing for what was essentially "we couldn't find it" twice in a row is hard to justify. If you're getting a quote from this company, ask exactly what you get for the diagnostic fee and what happens if they don't find the cause -- in our case, the answer was pay again.

The guy calls my phone at around 1130 and says they are there knocking but no one's there? I'm like dude u guys said 1230? My girlfriend calls back and the person that answers the phone says that I gave them the ok to come early? In which I did not. Anyways very poor communication and did not try to call us back admit they came early or at least get the estimator guy back to give a proper estimate at the time they scheduled. Already starting off on a bad foot. Sent emails and no communication back what so ever to make it right. Our gf's parents ended up arguing with each other that they missed the appointment when they didn't miss the appointment the dude came super early. We told her parents not their fault guy came early before scheduled time. Communication and punctuality wasn't there.

Despite having three weeks to prepare the estimate while waiting for the part to arrive on Maui, they quoted $965 for a one-hour job to change a cartridge -- even though they claimed the high price included sourcing the part but I supplied the part myself. They falsely claimed to have sourced it and refused to perform the work until I signed the quote and paid in full upfront. This is predatory pricing and unethical business behavior. Bailey was our main service person and his partner (I wish I had his name, too!) were very respectful when they asked if they needed to take off their shoes. I appreciated that because I don't like shoes in the house. It's how I was raised. I asked if they had booties. They quickly went back to their service vehicle and got their booties for their work shoes. They had to repair our toilet seal and the cost came out to around $400. They were done in about an hour. I emphasize clean because my husband had lined the bathroom floor with towels, to sop up the spillage, and Bailey grabbed and bagged them and asked if he could throw them away because it was sewer water. I had used KNL (on Maui) in the past, so I called them again when I had a small leak from a pipe in…read moremy kitchen. Long story, short. They gave me a bid of $1,220.00 with a time estimate of 4 to 6 hours. It was supposed to be a really involved job (very hard to reach). They spent just 2 hours with no ripping out of anything, and they only replaced one cast iron "T" and another 8 inches of some white 3" piping (which I would assume they had on their truck). On the bid, they had a list of about 8 items to do, which is why it was supposed to take 4 to 6 hours. They completed less than half the items on the bid. I was charged the entire amount, which would have meant I was being charged almost $600 an hour. I said it was outrageous for them to charge me so much. They said it involved, picking up supplies (all would have been on their truck, as they were standard parts), mileage, (they are only 10 minutes) from my condo. With the slow down on Maui, they must need to charge double or triple what would be normal. I will never use them again and would not refer them to anyone unless you want to be ripped off.
