There is no shortage of wonderful things I could say about Fabriq Spa. Getting a massage or a facial is a special occasion for me, and in ~these times~ it'd be easy to regret splashing out on something like a spa treatment, where you're betting on it making you feel so good you can rationalize the splurge. Every cent I've ever spent here has felt worth it. Both the staff and the space are welcoming, warm, and tranquil. I normally do a 30- or 60-minute massage with Sidney, who's the first massage therapist I've ever decided I had to come back to. The 30 min massages are perfect for lightly incorporating some relief and luxury into your day, and have become a treasured fix in a busy life. I don't think it plays a large role in many people's experiences here, but I also love how queer of a space Fabriq is. It makes me feel even more comfortable and happy. Make sure you bring a hat because your hair will look absurd post-massage. read more

I had an issue with a very tight hamstring muscle in my right leg and Linda was able to work on loosening it up. The proof of the effect is today the muscle is back to normal. I love Fabriq Spa. Everyone I've seen there has been an incredibly skilled practitioner, knowledgeable and laid back. It's impeccably clean but also cozy, which seems difficult to pull off, but they nail it. Their covid precautions seem well-practiced and perfectly synced with all of their points of service. Today I saw Cooper for a massage, and he was wonderful. I left feeling totally relaxed, and armed with a few new tips for keeping my back happier. It was just the perfect place for self care in this moment in time, and I could not be more grateful. I've seen Monique in the past for facials and waxing, and she's such a pro. The quality of products they carry and use during facials is not easy to come by, and as experienced as she is, she's so good explaining what everything is without making skincare intimidating. Monique is a fast and meticulous waxer, and the wax they use is a nice quality that my sensitive skin has never had any issues with. I had already been going to Fabriq as a regular for other services, including facials with Monique. She had suggested I try acupuncture. While I didn't have any pain or specific injury to address, I was having fertility challenges. Additionally, I could not get into a good sleeping rhythm and had some day-to-day anxiety to work through. I wanted to aim for a more calm, peaceful vibe and to focus on getting my body and mind in a better place for pregnancy. I met Gabrielle and immediately found her individual and personal approach to be very genuine. Within three to four months of seeing her, we found out we were pregnant. I visited her every other week my entire pregnancy and immediately following birth. Gabrielle helped me through all phases and all of those weird things, and pains, that happen to your body as you grow a little human. Seeing Gabrielle is the most important routine I still commit to regularly. My time spent at Fabriq is the absolutely favorite part of my week - I immediately feel more calm just walking through the front door. I look forward to the zen, peaceful moments not thinking about anything, alone, relaxing and just breathing. I like to call it my "holistic therapy". I can't speak highly enough of Gabrielle and her entire staff - she has truly changed my life. read more

My experience was... Odd. I was excited to try out Fabriq -- the reviews are glowing and I absolutely love getting massages. However, it was unlike any massage I've ever experienced (and not in a positive way). The massage featured a light touch-type therapy, which I believe is to help connect the nervous system to the body. This was not what I was expecting, as I booked a signature massage and expected a typical Swedish massage-type experience. Before the massage, we discussed what kind of pressure I wanted and areas I'd like the massage therapist to focus on. I always love when massage therapists ask this before a massage! The massage was honestly was stress inducing - the massage therapist would massage for a short bit, then do the light touch on various muscles. Literally just lightly touching for about a minute at a time. There were points were I could hear the massage therapist breathing very close to me during these light touches, which made me a little anxious. Overall, the massage was disappointing. I would recommend selecting a different service (perhaps the aromatherapy), as it seems the signature massage is based on the massage therapist's preference. I also booked the 15 minutes scalp massage, which was lackluster. I was wondering when the scalp massage would start when the massage therapist thanked me for coming in and said the service was completed. To my knowledge, there wasn't any oil used and only a few minutes of actual head massaging. The spa itself is nice and cozy and the staff were very kind. read more

I was in dire need - I didn't love the last place I went - a friend recommended Fabriq and and they fit me in no problem. The place has the most mellow vibe - nothing "corporate" about it. I didn't know what to expect from a place on Fabric Row - but it's a really cool space. Relaxing colors, relaxing music, a nice cuppa tea - what more could you want when someone is about to rip out your hair! Selena did my waxing - it was totally quick and painless (on the spectrum of potential pain from waxing that is). It helped that she was also funny and made me feel completely at ease - considering the circumstances! What a beautiful spa! I had two amazing treatments. I had a one hour massage with Christy, one of the best massages I've ever had (and I've had more than a few!). I loved that she told me to relax and that she'd see me in an hour, unless I had questions - making it easy for me to disappear into my massage, rather than feel like I had to make conversation. I was so relaxed, I practically floated out of there! Oh! And the massage table was heated - I mean, that is awesome! I also had an acupuncture treatment with one of the owners, Gabrielle. She's treated me in the past (for over a year) and man, does she know what she's doing! From migraines, to digestive issues, to just pure relaxation, Gabrielle has a way of making you feel completely safe in her capable hands. She is so great at what she does, and you can tell that she loves it and that makes all the difference. I am so grateful to her, as I have terrible digestive issues and she's really helped me overcome them - I don't know what I do without her treatments. The spa is so relaxing that I never want to leave! And check out the bathroom - it's so pretty - make sure you look up at the ceiling! I was referred to Fabriq Spa through my boss! We had Fabriq Spa come to our salon to do a First Friday event, and the employees I met were absolute gems. Nonetheless, I was a little bit nervous booking my appointment today, because finding someone to give a great massage can be a little intimidating. Turns out, I had nothing to be nervous about. As a hairstylist and cyclist, I find that my back (and legs) live in a constant state of knot-iness. Drew is a N I N J A. He was able to work out some horrendous knots and kinks in my shoulders, and did these amazing moves that helped relieve a lot of tension in my hamstrings. I could honestly give a step by step of the whole thing, but then I would ruin the excitement for everyone else. Drew was totally charming, and very understanding. I didn't get scolded or scoffed at for not knowing exactly what kind of massage I needed. The space itself is beautiful. Very well kept, clean, quant, and has everything you need. Not to mention very serene and peaceful. I will absolutely be back for more. I left Fabriq feeling like ten pounds had been lifted from my shoulders. You cannot put a price on that. read more

I made an appointment at Fabriq based on the rave reviews on Yelp. I came in with pain in my wrist and shoulder from carpal tunnel that was aggravated by walking my very rambunctious dog. Drew was wonderful and took time to discuss my issues and problem areas and I spent the next 60 minutes in heaven. I could have fallen asleep. Drew has such a great touch and melted away my aches! I wish that I could rate the massage and facial separately. I booked the package. Anna, the massage therapist was very good. She was a little rushed, but she focused on my trouble spots and overall did a very good job. My esthetician on the other hand was terrible. She barely touched my skin and she did not do anything that I couldn't do at home. In fact, she obviously didn't read my registration card. I asked for more information on products and skin care feedback and was prepared to spend up to an additional $150 but she NEVER said a word to me during the entire facial. Not sure why I even completed the form. Oh well, Fabriq missed out on some additional sales. I won't be back unless it is just for a massage. read more

I still haven't had a better facial than the Dr. Alkaitis skin food 90 minutes facial I had here in 2016... And trust me, I have searched everywhere. Most places don't use quality products (very tough for me since I naturally use my own each day), and most places don't bother consulting skin type and needs. Estheticians typically look at my skin, say it's great, then pile me up with hydrating masks and greasy serums, then I break out. No! I have oily skin, and I keep it under control with great products. I loved that the esthetician at Fabriq listened to me, and chose formula to help prevent congestion. Warning to everyone out there who intends to visit Fabriq Spa. They billed my insurance very large amounts of money, with minimal explanation to my wife. She apparently signed some "form" allowing them to bill my insurance, but they have refused to provide me a copy of that form. Then proceeded to bill me large amounts of money ($2000+), beyond what my insurance has agreed to pay. (according to my records). They have refused to verify any of the charges nor provide any receipts that payments were made to them. Furthermore, they recently threatened to report me to a collection agency if I didn't pay. I've never dealt with a business like theirs. I OPENLY invite Fabriq Spa to respond to this post. Because I could provide scanned documentation and e-mails to back up any of my claims, but I would be hesitant to do so for privacy reasons. And YES, I did wait more than a year to pay you. Because you still to this day, have not provided the documentation I asked for. I only paid, because it will cost me more than $1000 to get my credit straightened out after you send me to collections. I even offered to pay the full amount via payment plan, and they rejected that. They told me I had "one week" to pay or else. My advice is to be very careful with this establishment. And if you do visit this place, ASK THEM FOR A RUNNING TOTAL of the amount you AND YOUR INSURANCE owe them. You will need to keep your own records, because they provide insufficient information. I have no comments about the quality of the service itself. read more

Monique is my go-to esthetician and I get facials from her regularly. I have received MANY facials from many different people at many different spas across Philly. Monique is THE BEST. She's thorough, assured, and experienced. Her hours are limited, so I'm hesitant to give her public accolades in fear that it will be challenging for me to get an appointment. My friend and I went to Fabriq for facials and massages and are very glad we did. When I called to book Drew was honest, informative and helpful. When we arrived for our appointments we were greeted by a friendly woman who offered to take our coats and brought us water as we filled out some paperwork. As someone who frequently gets spa services I have high expectations and was very pleased. My massage therapist Xenobia gave me one of the most thorough relaxing therapeutic massages I have ever received. She incorporated hot stones and heat and was very cognizant of my comfort, checking in appropriately. My facial technician was also lovely and gave great customer service. It was not the best facial I have ever received and felt more like a relaxing experience than a fully detoxifying cleansing one, but I left happy, relaxed and with a generous supply of samples! Amazing! Chose a Thai massage with Kevin. Again, AMAZING! It it had been several years since my last Thai massage and it had been a bad experience. I decided to give it another chance when I got a gift certificate for the spa. Kevin made me feel comfortable and relaxed and so did the general surroundings. My fiancé went to Fabriq for a facial with Eileen. We were loyal to Juju Spa so we were excited to learn that some of the same aestheticians stayed on at Fabriq. According to my fiancé, check-in was a breeze and the facial itself was excellent. Eileen was calm and relaxed, and the hand and foot massages were an excellent touch! The warm bed and aromatherapy were soothing as I waited for Ana to come in. When Ana began, her technique perfectly alternated between relaxing and working out knots. The only reason I gave them a 9/10 rating is that the last 7ish min of my 30 min massage was focused on my face in such a light (barely any touch) way that I had wished that time was spent on more of the earlier techniques.
