What do they put in their cinnamon buns to make them so highly addictive?! I have also tried the vanilla and cardamom varieties, but it's the cinnamon ones I'm absolutely hooked on. At £2.50 each they are a proper treat but this level of juicy deliciousness just comes at a price. There are a few other sweet temptations on offer as well and the cafe has started to attract a loyal crowd of Nordic locals and visiting tourists who are not put off by the rather sparse interior - still the only aspect preventing me for going for the whole 5 star rating. The tables are rather small and you feel a bit squashed into a rather narrow shop. Unfortunately, there is no obvious outdoor space to escape to either as you find yourself right on Portobello Market. As Fabrique is getting more established the choice of bread has also slowly been increased. Most sell at £12 for a full loaf with halves and quarters also available at £6 and £4 respectively. Again, no bargain prices but you get what you pay for and their breads beat most others in the area. The rye and cranberry is hardcore and just amazing with cheese. And if you don't want to commit to a massive chunk you can now also buy rolls of most varieties. They also offer a choice of sandwiches and soft drinks at lunchtime and make a decent coffee.

The best pastry shop ever. The cardamon buns are to die for! I would give them 200 out or 100

Lovely cafe and I tried the cardamom bun and I'm not quite sure. I was hoping for it to be warm and delicious but it was very disappointing.

A very underwhelming experience. This was a highly rated coffee place near Portobello Road Market…read more I went there with my family members and we ordered two single shot espressos and one latte. The service was quick but lacklustre. The espresso drinks were not strong and tasted like they had been watered down. The latte was okay. Not very memorable but okay. However, what threw me off the most was the dirty saucer that was given to me along with the cup. There were old bits of coffee grounds on the saucer which stuck to my cup. It was kind of nasty and distracted me from enjoying the coffee. The baristas also seemed bored and distracted. One of them was sitting on the floor after he was done making my drink and he was just itching his hair. I was hoping he washed his hands before making my drink but I wouldn't count on it. My brother asked about their coffee deal, half off for a bag of coffee. They told him it was an old deal since COVID and they hadn't taken it off the board behind them. What a sad coffee place.

Definitely a recommendation for coffee aficionados!
