This was literally my first food/drink experience in Stockholm and I couldn't have asked for a better one. I really enjoyed being in this cozy space. The service was friendly and the aesthetics of the place is very inviting and quaint. It's in a very touristy area, but since I was visiting in the morning during a week day in October, it didn't feel overwhelming to me. Apparently this place is a chain, but it gave me local vibes so I liked it very much! The sweet bread I had was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

Tea, Coffee and Cake!

I just spent 5 glorious days in Stockholm visiting a friend of my boyfriends. It's an absolutely beautiful city with many many fantastic places to eat. One particular highlight for me was something the swedes call Fika! Fika is essentially a tea break but something that is encouraged to be done daily. On this particular day we decided to give Fabrique a try. The selection of cakes looked mouth watering and the interior very chic. The seating area had a cool monochrome colour scheme punctuated by duck egg accents that instantly made me think there should have been a Smeg fridge in the corner! I opted for a cup of tea, tea is not a big feature in Stockholm they generally only serve earl grey and the tea bags are so big it sometimes look like there is a napkin floating in your cup! However I persevered and to ease my pain treated myself to a toffee and hazelnut slice. Mark had a latte with the insta worthy foam art and a chocolate fondant ball, something he had become quite fond of. Our cakes were delicious, perfect accompaniments to our hot drinks. My slice was a particular stand out as it had a secret layer of melted chocolate between the toffee and biscuit giving it that extra special mmmmm. Out of all the Fika I had in Stockholm I have to admit Fabrique was my favourite place we visited. When I return to Stockholm, which I absolutely will, it will be one of the first places I stop at!

Fin interiör! / Nice interior!

If you search for something else than traditional coffee shop with tiny coffee cups with roses painted on them and interior similar to grandma's living room (those kinds of places are easy to find in Gamla Stan), this is the place to go! Fabrique is a great example of a unique feeling at a chain coffee shop. The interior is super cool, with stylish lights and neat posters on the wall. The mosaique floor is fantastique as well! All in all the atmosphere is very pleasant. Opening hours seem to be good as well. Staff was friendly and coffee good. Latte was 40kr, served in a big stylish cristal glass. All the breads and buns seemed delicious, but this time I chose to enjoy only a coffee. If you prefer something fresh instead of coffee or tea, they serve also juices from a Stockholm based juice company. Location is great: literally about 10 metres from the Gamla Stan tunnelbana exit. And when you want to go to the most famous tourist route of the Old City, it is just a couple steps up the small street of Lilla Nygatan.

I was in search of the perfect Fika snack. I came to the perfect place and had a cardamom bun that was so great! I loved it so much I purchased three just to take back on the plane. My friend tried the cinnamon bun which was good as well. You can't go wrong with anything from this bakery!

The perfect place to stop for an afternoon coffee and treat. The cardamom roll was delicious and the latte was beautiful and tasty. There are many places to sit inside and enjoy a nice rest before continuing your adventures in Stockholm.

Lovely quiet lunch spot/Bagelhouse near the old town with good quality bagels and sandwiches. Great coffee alongside that and some rather marvellous sweet treats. A Perfect retreat from the tourist hordes or if you need a place to get through some emails on your laptop.

Pastries were amazing and espresso was even better! Location is great right in Gamla Stan and the interior decor is adorable. Visited on a weekday morning with four people and we didn't have trouble getting a seat. However, i could see this place easily being very busy and short on room.

This is such a cute homey place. Yes it is touristy, but hey that's what I am and it does have a…read morelot of local Swedes as well. As I am a tourist, I got that crazy milkshake with a cinnamon bun on top of it just for good measure of course. The cinnamon buns in Sweden are obviously exceptional as they originated from there- crunchy on the outside and warm, melted, soft cinnamon goodness on the inside. The waffles are delicious as well, regardless of which waffle you get. All in all, this is a great place to go to if you're visiting Stockholm!

I'm not sure what Swedish waffles and 1950s diners have in common, but this place makes it work for sure. We came in on a Sunday morning, and were able to get seated right away. My cousin and I both had the raspberry waffle with whipped cream (75 sek, approx $8USD.). The waffle was perfectly crispy and the jam was delicious, but it wasn't a particularly filling for the price, really just a treat. They had fancier offerings as well, for a bit more money, as well as savory combinations. I overheard from a neighboring table that you can order a waffle with both whipped cream and ice cream. Where was this information when I was ordering? Oh well, next time. I would visit Älskade Traditioner again, but perhaps only for dessert. Alternatively I may try one of their savory options for a full meal.
