They do not know how to clean down comforters here. My brand new Buffy breeze comforter has only been dry cleaned one time and the first cleaner I went to closed so I decided to give this place a try. The lady at the counter is nice enough, but my comfortor is completely destroyed now my comfortor is lumpy, and has lint balls all along the edges as if it went through a normal dryer? I am now out $250 and paid them $44 to ruin my blanket. My boyfriend and I are so frustrated, this is a brand new comfortor. Do not go here! read more

The owner of Fabulous Cleaners, Mrs. Lim, is my hero! I haven't picked up a needle and thread since last fall, and haven't *seriously* done so since Girl Scouts ...and that was just to balance out my sash with the badge. I needed a zipper repaired on an article of clothing I really, really love. It's not generally removed with care for the things I wear it for, and the zipper got damaged somewhere along the way. I stopped in this afternoon on other errands when I saw the 'alterations and repairs" notation on their sign. For far less than I expected, she not only could fix it, she agreed to do it today! She did a fabulous job, and did it much faster than I expected. I thought by end of day was fine, but in an hour she called to say I could pick it up! YAY! The other customers who came to pick up items the two quick stops I was there (drop off, pick up, duh) were all smiles and chit chat...this lady is well loved by many! Not super convenient for me, or the closest cleaner to my house, but she'll be my first choice stop for any alteration or cleaning needs from now on! read more

Took 3 pairs of pant in to get hemmed all the same style, brand, size and what not. Went in to collect them got them home and all 3 were different lengths. Went in and asked her to fix them and learned that she cut way more of the fabric off then any other place I have ever gone to leaving 2 of the 3 pairs unwearable. She did not even say sorry or offer a refund. read more

A couple weeks ago I took in a pair of jeans to have two thin spots patched. Mrs Lim was very kind and sweet and seemed to understand exactly what I needed done. She told me they would be ready by Thursday later in the week. I showed up Thursday but they weren't done - she was in the middle of working on them in fact. "No big deal" I thought, since it's on my way home from work. So I came back the next day and picked them up. I took them home and only one of the spots was patched and she somehow cut a seam down the leg that I had done previously by someone else. I took them back and kindly explained that there were two spots she was supposed to patch and I showed her where she cut the seam and said that also needed to be fixed now. She stopped being nice to me at this point despite the fact that I was being very gentle in my explanation. The repair took a week and she no longer said "goodbye," "have a nice day" etc...I finally got my jeans back and the repair job looks super shabby and amateurish with threads untrimmed. I'm debating paying someone else to re-do the whole stupid thing. This was my second experience taking clothes to her and the first time didn't go that great either. She hemmed some jeans of mine and it also looked pretty shabby. Bottom line: don't take your stuff here, it's the pits. read more

At first they were unsure if anything could be done to salvage it, but Gonzalo came through with some magic blend of cleaning solution, and now you can't even notice that a stain was there. read more

I have been taking all of my cleaning to Fabulous Cleaners for several years. Polite, cheerful and professional are the only ways that I can describe the way that I have been treated there. All of my cleaning, from suits and dress shirts to my wife's cashmere sweaters and winter coats have been flawless. They are even astute enough to examine clothing for missing/broken buttons and such and make repairs without charging me. Several days ago I dropped off my usual load of dry cleaning plus two shirts that needed three different alterations (I had bought the wrong dress shirt lengths by accident). Mrs. Lim promised the alterations and cleaning for Thursday by 5pm. Mrs. Lim went above and beyond normal when husband had a heart attack and she still came in to do my two alterations then left!!! This dry cleaning store/service damaged my bridal dress I can only guess with some chemical or solvent that caused the trim to melt into the fabric. I completely regret listening to the owner tell me how well they take care of the clothes that they clean. As I went through other clothes they had cleaned for me I noticed that some had special trim badly damaged. From what I could tell they do not make it a habit to spend adequate time going through the dress or suit to identify what should be protected from the dry cleaning fluids. read more
