The moment I walked in the door, looking overwhelmed and confused at all of the machines, the attendant (owner? I'm not sure) welcomed me in and helped me decide on which machines to use. I was worried about coming here, based on the recent negative reviews, but I felt very welcome and I quickly acclimated. All of the other folks washing their laundry were friendly and helpful, too. There are washing machines of different sizes. I was able to put two large loads of normal clothes laundry into one of the bigger machines, and then most of my towels and a bathmat in another. There are a lot of dryers, all spacious, but there are also two giant dryers that a person could fit into, which would be awesome for bulky things like comforters and sleeping bags. The prices are clearly marked on all the machines. Most of them also take card or pay by phone, which is awesome. I came prepared with cash and was happy that the change machine accepted my $20 bill (I was worried I'd have to break the bill into $5s or something). I paid $11 for a load in one of the large washers, but the small washers are $4 per load. For the dryers, it looks like the small ones are $0.50 for 8 minutes, and the giant ones are $2.50 for 10 minutes. The facility is extremely clean and has a ton of space to fold/organize your laundry. There is also a convenient laundry sink, and what looks like free WiFi. Also, they have a pretty great playlist going - very 80s and perfect for a laundromat. There is a vending machine in the corner as well as a 7-Eleven, McDonald's, and Safeway just across the street, so if you need to stay awhile, there are places to get food/snacks. Horrible owners. Endlessly rude, even abusive. Prices were raised by .50 a load last January. I literally had as member of the owning family get on my case for not switching out a load when my phone timer had 56 seconds left on it to remind me to do so. I was on site seated next to the washer. Even when I showed her the phone, she ignored it and kept repeating her hectoring. One of the young men of the owning family gives "black face" or scowls at customers at all times. Heaven forbid you ask a question! I have seen the family en mass, like five members literally bully a young man out the door at closing, yelling at him he had to leave as he repeatedly dropped his clean clothes on the filthy floor trying to get out as fast as he could. I ended up giving him a couple clean garbage bags for his items. It was clear he and his terribly young girlfriend were living in their vehicle. The family that owns this laundromat are greedy, abusive, have zero sense of customer service and are a nightmare to interact with. I used this location for nearly a year out of necessity. Never going back. Avoid if at all possible. read more

I hate writing bad reviews but I feel like this place has really changed in the last few months. Instead of two service gentlemen, there is a lady. She doesn't greet you and spends all the time outside on the phone. The last two times I went there, I saw soap on the floor and things in a disarray. I had the worse experience in this laundromat ever. My grandmother and I were here and we wanted to wash her clothes and one of the machines were broken. We told the employees there and instead of fixing the problem, they told us "we used too much soap" (which we didn't). They refused to help us and told us "we're stupid" in spanish and left us with no help. Never come to this place if you're looking to argue with poor management who refuse to help customers who just wants to clean their clothes! read more

First time laundromat user here, as our W/D is being replaced and not here yet. We scoured the area for the one with the best reviews that was clean and had an attendant just in case. We aimed to arrive at 8am but ended up arriving around 8:30am on a Sunday. And it was already pretty busy. The small ($3.75) front load machines were almost all taken but there were a few medium ($7) and large ($10) machines available. And what I thought would take an hour only took about 20min or so. Then we were off to the dryers which are 25cents for every 4min. At first I was like omg but because they're so big, most of my items took under 20 min to dry. We were in and out in about an hour with 2 sets of bedding and a weeks worth of laundry. I'll definitely be back when I have to wash bedding again. It was clean and had a bunch of carts to use when unloading/loading. And of course, make sure you have cash for the coin machine. So. Many. Quarters! read more

They have a ton of machines of various sizes and the place is spotlessly clean. The attendant, Chris, is very helpful and seems to always be cleaning and picking up. The absolute cleanest, best kept laundromat in the seattle area (I travel in a van and I've been to them all). I've never had trouble finding a machine here, and the place is kept immaculate. They recently upgraded to new washing machines and you can now pay with either quarters or your credit card/apple pay. They have 4 different sized washers ($3.50, $5, $7, and $10). I'm blown away at the customer service! There seems to be a pair (woman and man) working here, keeping things on track. It also appears to be more than just a do it yourself operation. I haven't used a Laundromat in years but my cat peed on my comforter and it doesn't fit in my machine at home, so here I am. Bad kitty!! The pair are seen walking around cleaning, vacuuming, helping customers etc. The lady was very helpful in leading me to the proper sized machine for my king size bulky comforter and explained how the machine worked. She even brought over a stool for me to use so I could pour in my liquid detergent. In my naivety I brought in about $2 worth of quarters. It tells you how long it's been since I've been in the laundromat. The lady asked if I was paying with cash or credit and I had to use a credit card since I didn't have enough quarters. I paid at the register then she brought over a huge bag of quarters and started loading them for me. The washer started and she referred me to an amazing donut shop next door while I waited. I opted to stay here at the laundromat. After awhile she looked at my comforter, found me sitting down and told me the machine only had one more minute to go. The wash cycle was $7.00 and the dryer is said to be about $3.00 depending on how bulky the comforter is. Ok, now I want to add a sixth star. I'm sitting here writing this review (I doubt she knows this because I don't think she can see what I'm actually typing on my phone) but she just asked me if she could open my dryer to reposition my comforter to help speed the dry time up. The last time I had to use a laundromat was probably 15 years ago. My memory of that last laundromat was not positive, so I was not excited when our washing machine went out and we had to order a new one. It was going to be 1 to 2 months before we could get a new washing machine. I found Eastside Maytag Laundry on yelp. It had good reviews and was near where we lived so I thought I would give it a try. I was very pleased with my experience there. The attendant, Chris, was very friendly upon my arrival. I told him that I was new and needed some information on how to use the machines. He gave me a tour and recommendations based on laundry size for which machines to use. All of the machines seem to be functioning and in good working order. The prices were reasonable. The machines all use quarters and since I didn't have quarters on me, Chris was able to take a debit card for cash back to exchange for quarters. There is a $1.50 fee for this service. While I was there I saw Chris vacuuming the floors and wiping out the machines. He also helped several customers bring in their heavy loads of laundry. In addition a gentleman arrived and started cleaning the carpets. He was very polite to all of the customers as he had a big hose that he had to use and tried not to get in the customers way. My clothes washed thoroughly and quickly and dried just as well. Overall, I had a very positive experience at the laundromat and will definitely need to be returning in the next month so I'm glad that I found a good clean place to go. read more

I have been to a few laundromats around Seattle and they always seem to be outdated and a little rundown. This Laundromat is awesome. The people running it are always super friendly. The few times I have been there a employee always seems to be cleaning. The machines are nice and new, bathroom is clean, prices are good, the whole inside is very nice. Even a couple flat screen tv's to watch. I highly recommend this business. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars. read more

This is the CLEANEST LAUNDROMAT!!! I go to wash blankets/comforters every few months. I've gone early mornings and late evenings. Every time it is spotless. Whenever a person is done with a wash the employee goes and wipes it down. The floor is constantly swept. Any help you need they are there for you. The dryers also dry blankets fast! I honestly am not sure how rare a laundromat. I do not have the opportunity to visit very often except when I have something that is too bulky for my washer at home which is very rare. But today I needed wo wash my doggo seat cover and I thought here is my opportunity to go try one. The laundromat is very well lit and is very clean. I must have looked most lost than normal since an attendant asked if I needed help. He directed me to bank of machines that would meet my needs. The machine looked and felt pretty new and definitely did its job. When it came time to dry, I was again pointed in the right direction to the proper machine and now it was just a waiting game for the cover to finish drying. The prices seemed reasonable but once again I am not sure what is expensive and what is cheap but seemed like a fair price. I think anytime I have to wait for a appliance repair person or if I have a bunch of bulky items this will now be the place for me. read more

I only need to use an oversized washer and dryer to wash comforters, so I was not as prepared as I should have been. Didn't bring enough quarters for starters. No problem. The wonderful man working there saw me looking for the large washing machine and immediately came over to help. He told me I could use a card to buy quarters, ($10 for the large load) showed me the correct machines to use, and told me how long each would take and how many quarters to use in the dryer. It is so rare to get this kind of wonderful, kind, customer service. This man is a gem! read more

I go to laundromats to wash heavy blankets that would ruin my machine otherwise. The do not have card readers on the machine which I'd expect in 2021, in Kirkland. But the lady was helpful in getting me bills, less a $1 credit card fee, which I had to then exchange to quarters. Their machines are older, and their driers were really slow. read more

Excellent people and facility. My husband took on the task of doing all of the laundry. He loaded up bags like Santa Claus. Headed off to Eastside Maytag Laundry. With ample machines, he did quick work. It was just like Christmas when he returned home with clean laundry. When it was time to make the beds, I could not find lavender sheets. Hmm. Were they folded up with other sheets? Wait, where are our daughter's Tshirts with crazy artwork? Ooooh, we are missing a load. It's night. We check the car. We checked the driveway. Does anyone know where lost laundry goes? Did the missing sock need friends? The sock taught the sheets how to go through the portal. We thought of every possibility. If not here, where? Must be Eastside Maytag Laundry. On the following morning, my husband made a return trip. What to his wondering eyes should appear? A helpful attendant greeted him. Turns out that our laundry hid in a washer. My husband put a load in but did not run it. The attendant had the laundry in a bag. Since my husband had an appointment, he was not able to stay. The attendant said he would get it started for him. Definitely above and beyond what was expected. We didn't get a name, but thank you to the man who was working August 24 and 25. If he is the owner, he runs a tight ship. If he is not, the owner of the business should know that a person like thats sets the tone. We feel like Eastside Maytag Laundry has high standards and is safe and clean because this man was friendly, helpful and professional. read more

She showed me how to use the washers and estimated the amount of time I needed in the dryer. They have quarters you can buy. Several laundry detergent bottles available (I brought my own). I've used Eastside Laundry several times (once or twice a year) for our comforters. Their large load washers and dryers work great. The place is clean and owners a incredibly friendly. They gave me some bleach to use when I've forgotten, offered large plastic bags to help carry the clean comforters in my car. There are many, many machines to use as well. When I have too much laundry to do, I'll go there, so I can do multiple loads at the same time and save me a lot of time doing them one by one. read more
