I have been coming here for almost 8 years and I've reached the point where I don't even have to tell her what I want. She will do something different each time and I love it every time. My mom had her hair cut by Moi today and she was AMAZING! My mom hasn't had more than a trim in about 30 years so her hair was well down past her waist and has previously had apprehension about taking any length off. We found Moi by searching stylists that are good with long hair and she was the perfect person to cut moms hair. She wasn't pushy when mom said she only wanted 3" off of it, but once we showed mom it would still be long she ended up taking 6" off! Mom couldn't even wear her hair in anything but a bun bc it was so heavy, but now with layers it looks so much healthier and has the dimension she wanted with the ability to put it up now. Simply put, Moi is the best hair stylist I have ever had and I won't look for another one. Not only she is talented and skillful but also she has integrity. Integrity meaning she won't up sell coloring techniques that can cost you a fortune yet she can ensure you that you get the same effect you want. She would only give you her honest opinion. Moi first cut my hair when I was only in high school so this review is looong overdue. I'm now halfway through college and I was looking to make an appointment again only to find out she moved to Texas. I don't know what to do or who to go to anymore. Might just have to head to Texas for a haircut. Moi is very easy to talk to and I can easily tell her what style I like and she will get it done 10/10 times. I love that Moi is open with her clients and is able to give her opinion if she believes a style will not fit. She has helped me with hair donations as well when my hair was very long. When I got bangs and had to keep up with them, Moi taught me herself how to trim them. I always went back to her though as I don't trust myself. I 100% trust Moi to cut my hair even if I don't tell her how I want it. Moi's salon is very tidy and cute. She usually has her TV on Ellen and we laugh about what goes on. Before going to Moi, Read all reviews(1star as well). Town Pl building is a mall for many Saloons, Spa......I failed to search other hair stylist reviews. We have done 3 appointments with Moi. I didn't understand whether she charges $85 per haircut or per hour. For 1st appointment she was late, we waited in the lobby. I was under impression she will not rush but she finished 15mins early(She was late by 15mins). My recent appointment was on 22nd Oct'22, Moi finished in 25mins. I asked whether it is trimming or hair cut. She said hair cut. Moi Charged $85(25mins). I didnt like it. I been looking for a new haircut place for a long time and saw the great pictures and reviews for Moi. I decided to call and make an appt for the next available. Moi's next available wasn't for another 1 1/2 months so I decided to put my name down. I did recently get it cut somewhere else and wasn't too happy with it so I didn't mind the wait. I arrived at 8:45 am for my appt. The place was already busy. Moi handed me a nice soft half robe so I won't get my clothes wet. I started with shampoo and conditioner and explained Moi what I wanted. She was super sweet and very professional. She made sure to keep me happy but also what would look best on me. Moi made sure my hair was perfect. She took her time cutting my hair. Even those, it was just a haircut, she made sure every strand was cut right and everything was the same length. There wasn't a time where I felt that she was rushing to get me out of there. I can tell she cares about her customers. Moi was also super friendly. She also gave me great tips to keep it salon perfect. I also really enjoyed the vibe of the place. Everyone seems really nice to one another. In my entire adult life, I have tried about 10 or so different hairstylists. One was a match but then I moved. So I searched. God smiled upon me when I read Yelp reviews about Moi. I called her up and got myself an appointment that same week. Since then, I just feel ever so grateful I found her. 2 years/6 haircuts later- I'm still super excited when I get to see her. The process is relaxing: I get my hair shampooed and scalp massaged. Then Moi and I have easy conversations about Kardashians, benefits of having kids, home improvements, husbands, etc etc. then she blow dries. Then cuts more. Then blow dries. I was doubtful in believing how good Moi can really be with all these five star reviews, but I clinched onto a pinch of hope and wanted to give her a try to see for myself. I'm not your typical Asian girl with pretty, thin, straight hair. I'm completely opposite with a lot of thick, coarse, frizzy, and wavy hair. Every hair stylist I've been to always comment on how much hair I have and I always feel sorry for them to have to deal with it. To give you more of an idea of how much hair I have, it normally takes 5 hours just to color my hair, 5-6 hours for Brazilian blowouts, and 2 hours to blow dry it. I've pretty much given up on styling because it's just too much of an effort so it's always in a bun or a ponytail. Moi worked her magic and for the first time when I saw the finished product, I was in love! Never have I walked away from any salon loving my hair the way I did here. Moi is also very friendly and genuinely tries to teach you how to keep your hair healthy. Even though it's a drive for me to come here for a haircut, it's worth it. My sister and I decided to both get our hair done because of the great yelp reviews we read about Parking is at the back there's plenty of room. Moi was very helpful and sent my sister a picture of where to park. also heads up make sure you make an appointment because she doesn't take walk ins! First off Moi was very friendly and very attentive to what we wanted. I got my highlights retouched and she was also able to darken some of my highlights. She also gave my hair a trim which turned out looking great! I was really appreciative that she listened to what I want and I ended up loving the way my hair looked! My sister on the other hand decided to get an ombré which took four hours long. Even though it took super long it was definitely worth it! her hair was pretty dry and damaged and tangled before the treatment and after it was soft and healthy. I went in not expecting too much because the last few times I've done an ombre it didn't turn out too well. I went onto yelp to find a decent place for an ombre and thus came along Fabulous Cuts. Originally I went for a consultation but the staff was very friendly and when I showed them a picture of how I wanted the ombre to be like they said that was very possible and told me the price straight up. Other places I've gone too have told me starting prices but it may go up depending on if they run out of solution for my hair or etc. since I have long hair. However I was not charged extra when the solution ran out. The price at the end was what was said in the beginning which was $250. I know it sounds expensive but it was so worth it. Roxy(?) Im pretty sure this is her name if I heard correctly was very very gentle with my hair. She noticed my hair was already pretty thin and fragile and was very gentle with it. The ombre took about 4-5 hours which was expected. She was constantly asking if I was okay if I needed anything since it was such a long process. When it came time to do the toning part she asked to see the picture once again and Moi and her both ACTUALLY LOOKED AT THE PICTURE FOR A WHILE then decided to ton my hair with 2 different toners to get the color I wanted. My hair came out amazing in the end and I can't wait to go back for touch ups next time! Basically if you're looking for one heck of an ombre look no further because they do such an amazing job with such attention to detail it amazes me. read more
