She replied to questions I had via email within an hour and was welcoming in her salon. After we were done with the color, I let her know that I was uneasy about how orange my hair looked, and she recommended I come back to get it toned for $40 in a few months time. I understand that black hair is not the easiest to bleach, but I was really sad about the final outcome of my hair.

I showed the owner a picture of what I wanted the curls and the hairstyle to look like. I always thought it was our responsibility to tell the hairstylist instead of let them improvise. I waited almost an hour. I had to tell them the rollers were too hot. I had to tell them the timer went off. Unsurprisingly, my hair was fried. At the end, I was told to go with the wet hair so that the curls would stay. It doesn't look remotely like the picture I showed. I understand the hair in the picture was styled with a lot of products, but my curls looked like I did it myself. I am never going again. I need to remember that.
