I went here about a month ago and got a pedicure and an acrylic big toe. The older guy that does acrylic was AMAZING! I truly was excited to finally find a good tech close to me. So when I came in last Wednesday, I expected the same service. Welp, I am very disappointed. The color on my pinky toe is completely GONE! And the thickness of my toe is embarrassing. I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new nail salon. I have been here a number of times after trying a few other places in the area. Nothing to write home about but they get the job done, I am a simple mani and pedi girl. Some experience has been better than others but today I am very disappointed. My nail application was applied extremely thick Which caused my nails not to cure properly. My polish is now chipped in less the 2 hours. I leave for vacation in 2 days with no time in schedule to have my nails fixed. :-( read more

Lucky they have to get one star for me to leave a review. Thought we found a good nail salon close to home. First visit was good. Nails weren't too exciting but went again to give another nail tech a chance. They weren't better. The manager Tommy I think is his name was funny the first visit but that changed after. He and the girl that sits at the first booth to the right when you walk in are extremely rude and condescending. The wait times are horrible even when you have an "appointment ". My daughter liked her "Easter" colored that she posted it and they didn't even say anything but gladly took it to put it in their site. Nails: Not good & pricey Atmosphere: Horrible!! I was so disrespected by a nail tech named Ty. I was already waiting over an hour and a half when he took a Korean woman before me. Note I am an African-American woman. I advised him that I was before her and he continue to work on her and rudely said to me that he works seven days a week and that I can come another day. I have never felt so disrespected by a business before in my life. No other worker stood up for me or said anything, even after they check the system and seeing that I was next and he was wrong. He kept going on and on arguing with me just because I asked why somebody was going before me. This woman came in almost an hour after I had already been sitting and waiting. New salon. Bummer.. not a good experience. Strike 1 - I made an appointment and still had to wait 45 minutes before being seen. The guy did not acknowledge my long wait time. No big deal, I was happy to be seen. Strike 2 - In that 45 minutes, I had a lot of time to get excited about the color I picked. A neutral ombré nail. They accidentally dipped my nails in the wrong color and proceeded to drill the color off multiple times. My nails felt thin and sore after my appt. Hands were dry as cactuses since they don't use lotion/oil at end. Strike 3 - In their attempts to figure out how to recreate the color, they shuffled me between 3 different people without saying anything. It was confusing. My nails started looking pink and white- I had to ditch the ombré at that point and just asked for something easy - a solid color. Strike 4 - I was in that salon for 2 and a half hours just for a dip set . The gentlemen that completed my nails was talkative, it was awkward and clear this service was not going well. He tried to blame me and say they can't do an ombré because my nails were too short. I had to tell him I get this service all the time in NYC. He didn't say anything after that. Conclusion: I paid $50 and tipped. They don't list their prices. The lack of customer service tanked my visit. I'm not confident in their ability to create designs. Would not return. read more

I stumbled upon them and they took me last minute. I had Shayna as my nail artist. She was extremely friendly, educated me about the benefits of gel extensions v/s acrylic, and had me in and out in an hour with PERFECT nails! The rest of the staff was also very friendly. We all talk to each other while other customers get their services done. Fantastic, relaxing atmosphere. During the opening of business during COVID I was a bit scared to get my nails done. The nail salon is Very clean. Always greeted when I arrive. All customers are required to wash hands. Tony and the group remember all of the customers. They try to get to know everyone along with their polish preferences. I really enjoy my monthly experience at Fabulous Nail Bar. They have a vast amount of nail polish in every color. They do regular polish, gel, and dipped. I prefer gel. They also offer waxing services. I'm so happy to find a great nail bar in Delaware that offers similar services that I received in Philadelphia and Virginia. I would recommend calling for an appointment. I recently got a gel polish French manicure and I will never return to this nail bar. The finish was rough and uneven and the French was far from perfect. My technician was very shaky, nipped my skin on several fingers and rushed through the process. I was shocked to pay $45 for a nail job I wanted to take off the same day. I dont even know where to start. If your looking for a trendy nail salon this is not it keep looking!! I happened to try them out because of their rating & reviews not to mention its close to my house. I had 2 appointments for 11 am. It was my first time going to this salon. Upon arrival we walked in and were told hi, then told to check in we made appointments so I thought that was weird because typical the salons ask if you have an appointment. But none the less we checked in and waited to be called back. We sat and waited for about 20-30 mins time flew by we were there for a girls' day. We were called back and told to go wash our hands It was our first time so we had no idea where the washing station was we just walked to the back until we found it. We went back down to sit about 5-10mins later were told to come back for our pedicure. Our pedicure went really well. We thought it would have set the tone for the rest of our trip. once we were done we were told to wait. It had to be about 30-45 minutes. We were enjoying our day so time kind of flew by we were then told to move to station 3 & 4 by this lady who walks with the cane She was very rude as well. There were no numbers on the stations & like I said before it was our first time there so we walked to the manicure stations and sat down where we thought 3 & 4 would be. We sat there for a good 20 mins until we realized that there were only 2 nail technicians. once they finished up the people who were ahead of us it was our turn to get our fullsets. we did pick out designs that we wanted so we had our phones ready to show them what we wanted. My sisters nail tech asked her what she wanted and she showed him then my nail tech comes over & asks me have I picked out my colors Like I said earlier i had a design picked out and typically the nail tech picks out the colors for that design so I told the guy no & showed him my design. he proceeds to say "You were over there talking that's why you didn't pick out your design" me & my sister looked at each other & kept our conversation going. He proceeded to start my nails and put my tips on. Once he put my tips on he asked me what shape I wanted i said square then quickly said coffin he then proceeds to mumble something i asked him what he said he said "I should have told him I wanted coffin" Me & my sister looked at each other then continued our conversation. He continues to do my nails and keeps making comments about how long its taking to do my nails & keeps mumbling about how i should have told him about the shape. anyways my sister had finished her nails and we were having a girls day so she sat next to me we didn't think anything of it because they only had 2 nail techs and had ppl waiting for at least an hour so we didn't think we were in the way so the lady who walks on the cane said get up we need this chair.......we were dumbfounded because of the way she said it and how rude she was. You would thinks that someone who has a disability would be much nicer but nope she was the rudest one in there! my sister got up and moved. We were there for a girls day so by her moving defeated the whole point!! once my sister moved they quickly seated someone in her chair & didn't even sanitize the chairs or stations in between customers how nasty! Not to mention they let the girl in without a mask and it went unnoticed until the girl sat in the techs chair so she was maskless for about a good hour! Long story short they are rude, unprofessional, dirty, you just shouldn't go here. Not to mention the shadiness with pricing. lol they charge what they want to who they want. They kept telling me the prices through out my services it was surprise to me because I've been to so many salons in Delaware and this practice was the first I've saw. It made me uncomfortable. The guy who did my nails was rude he has ear piercings so be aware of him & The lady with the cane they're so rude!! The wait is crazy long also. I wouldn't recommend. I made a 1:30 appointment for a mani pedi and didn't get out of there till 4:30... it took about 10 minutes for someone to come and start my pedicure, and they used the wrong color. The swatch I gave them was dark red and they painted them bright orange. After that I waited almost two hours for them to start my nails. In the middle of doing my nails the lady doing them got up and started working on someone else. She didn't come back to finish for over an hour. On top of all of that she cut my hand while trimming my cuticles, causing it to bleed. I'll never go here again. They are way overpriced and have terrible service. read more

For a salon to only take appts Monday to Wednesday and you make an appointment at 530 and they do not take you to 6 and you wait till 620 for the pedicure to start. It was finished at 730 but the sad thing is I was suppose to get my nails done also. I was told to call and let them know I was leaving my appt and was told there would be at least a 2 hr wait. This is not how a fairly new business should be ran I will give them 1 more chance on sat to be there at 9 to complete what should have been completed the night of my appointment The salon takes walk ins before their customers with appointment. It is not good business. Went back that Saturday and got my nails done. When I paid I was followed out by possible and confronted me on why bad review. They are no longer taken appointments and at 9 am the had many people waiting by 930 there was a lot more. Okay well i really wanted to like this place because it was new and i was hoping for a new nail place that wasn't to far from home. Unfortunately, I will still have to travel elsewhere. Me and my mother went here for the first time because we saw it was new and thought we'd give it a chance. Our first mistake was not making an appointment i guess. Not that they honor them anyways. As we entered there were only 3 woman being worked on so we assumed good won't take that long as we saw more than 3 workers. Boy were we wrong. People were not seen in any order. Just how they fit. We arrived at 10:30am and my mom didn't get a seat until 11. Then she waited id day another 20 minutes before they started anything. I'm not sure who the man doing her nails was but he was a bit rude. After starting her nails i went to sit next to her in one of the chairs so we could talk bc i still wasn't being worked on yet and i didn't want to be bored. (I wasn't taking up any space bc there wasn't many people there but if they needed the chair i would've have moved.) More people came in and had to wait and wait. One woman came in the same time we did and they began doing soak offs and didn't come back to actually take the acetone off of her until like 12!!!!! Anyways as he's doing my mother i noticed he seemed more interested in the tv on the wall then his work. He finished my mother around 12:00ish. He then told me to switch with her. So i did and he began working on me. He asked how long i wanted them before he put any tips on for me to reference too and asked what shape and i said coffin. As he was working on me again he basically stopped his work to watch tv. He was just holding my hand while watching it. When the commercial came on then he went back to work. When he was about to cut them he asked how short and i said a little shorter and he shoved his clippers down and cut them. They were shorter than i wanted tbh. I asked my mom if she thought they were good and before she could answer he said "yes they're fine" and motioned for hand back which i thought was mean. But i have work so i was like whatever. Then he packed on some acrylic which scared me a bit. He then filed them down so they weren't so thick but again stopping in between to watch tv. Finally he started to shape them which i thought was odd bc most places shape them in the beginning too so they don't have as much work. He began filing very hard to turn them into acrylic. I will give them a point for shape however only some of my nails were shaped good. They weren't consistent. I noticed that both my hands had different length nails also. I rinsed my hands and came back and he painted them pretty nice. There was a large bottle of lotion so not gonna lie i expected him to do maybe a small hand massage or at least offer me some especially since my hands were obviously dry and the aesthetic of the salon is so "rich and fancy" looking. It is far from it though. I saw a jar of the nail powder on the floor and a half filled water bottle laying on the floor and powder everywhere. EVERYWHERE. then when we paid he said $77. Idk how it all adds up but it seemed a bit off. Not super expensive obviously for two sets but it still a little weird. Seems like they make up prices. Idk won't be returning. I've heard really good reviews and really bad ones. Oh and i forgot to mention that they have a small bar like fixture in the middle and i've heard they give out drinks however nobody in the salon was offered anything. They didn't seem to mind to make themselves drinks though. Not my new nail place that's for sure. read more

I wanted to love this shop, it appeared new and nicely decorated. Although my nail tech was nice , the nail station was dirty. I was charged 16.00 extra for 2 tiny decals, ASK first and watch you charges at checkout. I was told the in store ATM did not have fees and yet there were fees on my bank statement. And sadly, my full set of nails lifted and weakened very quickly and required a lot of repair work at a different salon. While I was there, a woman waited nearly an hour for her nail tech to show up for her scheduled appt, she finally left and said she would call to reschedule. The staff at Fabulous Nail Bar are rude. I was rushed when I was picking a color. My nail tech was speaking badly about another customer. I got dip powder on my natural nails and nails and the color was not consistent on my nail. The tips of my nails were transparent. My nail tech was rushing so he cut me with the nail buffer and didn't apologize. At the end of my service the nail tech just got up and walked away without saying I was done. Lastly, I went on a Sunday to relax and they had a baby in walker and another young child running around the nail salon. I have kids of my own and I go to the nail salon to relax and unwind but the noise and commotion of the children made it impossible. This was my second and last time going to Fabulous Nail Bar!!!! Today was my third time going to get a mani/pedi. I got the dip my first time. I did not like it, it was too thick for me. I went for the second time and got a gel mani/ regular pedi. I was charged $66. Today was my third and last time going there! I got a gel mani/ pedi and my total was $58 !! Told told the man/ receptionist at the front what I was charged last time I was there and even showed him on my phone because I used my debit card. He said " oh you must have got something else done" I told him no I did not I get the same thing done every time. I was still charged my full $58. He did not offer a credit or anything him and the owner ( the lady ) kept saying " oh I don't know" The guy who did my mani/ pedi is no longer working there! I said he must have told you the wrong thing, I get the same thing. The owner did absolutely nothing about the situation. Horrible horrible customer service. I will not be returning. read more

This nail salon is fabulous! I got dipped fine for the first time and it last 3 weeks looking great the whole time. The chairs are comfy for a relaxing pedicure and even have chairs for your little ones. I get my eyebrows waxed hear regularly and never have a bad shape.
