Right after going to the Baltimore Christmas Village we wanted to grab some dinner (only had a pretzel at the Christmas Village so def was still a little peckish for dinner) Right across the street was Facci. Italian food sounded good. We walked in on a Wednesday night and were seated promptly. It's definitely meant to be an intimate setting as it is very dark and dimly lit inside (still nothing a phone in night mode couldn't tackle). Our server was Jennifer and she was awesome- friendly and engaging. I asked her if the bolognese was pork and beef (a disappointment for me often at most places as I cannot eat pork) but to my delight she said it was 100% beef, as were the meatballs and the lasagna. I immediately switched to getting that instead of the vongole I was otherwise going to get. The bolognese was very good- slightly sweet and not acidic. My bf ended up getting the gnocchi caprese- which while he said it was tasty... it was so liquidy and saucy it ate more like a stew than a pasta dish. Still we both enjoyed our meals and I had enough for a lunch leftover today. We also opted to share a tableside tiramisu for dessert and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. End of the night our bill was about 48 pp with tax/tip for 2 entrees, dessert and I had a mocktail while my bf had a soda. We were staying at a hotel near the inner harbor for the weekend and my husband booked a reservation at this restaurant for dinner. It was a great experience. The ambiance is very nice with dim lighting and candles on every table. Our server, Sonya, quickly came over to take our drink orders. The menu is pretty big, with plenty of appetizers, salads, pastas, and entrees. I decided to go with the seafood marebella. Since it was a cool evening, we made a reservation at Facci and headed to a beautiful restaurant right across the street from the welcome center at the Inner Harbor. Upon arrival, we found a beautiful restaurant, open and bright with high ceilings and modern decor. We were quickly seated and were approached by our server, Sonya - she had a wonderful energy, a bright smile and made excellent dinner recommendations. I had the shrimp scampi pasta dish which was some of the best scampi I've had. The dining room was practically full, but the high ceilings and thoughtful table spacing made conversation easy to be heard. For dessert, the mini cannoli trio was more than enough for two people to share. Pricing was reasonable at about $55 per person. Great food, wonderful service and a beautiful atmosphere, close to the Inner Harbor - I highly recommend Facci. read more

For pasta free check out the bistecca fiorentina: 16 oz ribeye wood-fire grilled. They did mine perfectly med rare. Comes we a chimichurri, which isn't very Italian but tastes great anyway. Tuscan potatoes and petite arugula as sides. Nothing special there. On the pasta side the lasagna is amazing. Three blends of cheese plus a next level meat sauce. Food was good and not at the same time. My sister had the lobster ravioli, but the crab topper was cold. I had the gnocchi caprese which was incredible but not true gnocchi nor was it proper caprese. Only a sprig of basil on a soup of tomato sauce. Mashed potatoes on my father's perfectly cooked steak tasted like instant potatoes. Mom had no complaints with the spicy shrimp dish. The most egrious part (i'm being dramatic, lol) was that after our entrees arrived, we weren't seen by our waiter once. The octopus was artfully presented, tender, and paired with interesting sauces. The ravioli was served al dente with a splendid filling. The sauce was not very rich but it was good enough. We ordered the seafood marebella, pollo Marsala, and the wild mushrooms pizza. The seafood marebella pasta was good, just missing some seasoning. I would have preferred some garlic salt. The wild mushrooms pizza was also good but it also was missing something. I ended up taking it home and adding a truffle Parmesan seasoning to it, which made it perfect. The Marsala was good and my friend enjoyed the broccolini and pearl onions. I also enjoyed that they gave us bread with oil and balsamic vinaigrette before the food came. This is in a good location and is a beautiful place. It has a cool bar area with sports on, but it is separate from the rest of the restaurant, so it feels like two different places. We weren't thrilled with the wait at the host stand while he was dealing with a customer on the phone and didn't even acknowledge us standing there for several minutes. Someone else came to seat us. The first thing you'll notice when walking in is that it is super dark in there. Like, ridiculously so. Several people had to use their iPhone flashlight to read the menu. About the menu--the print is maybe size 9, so it's already difficult to see, and there are way too many choices. No restaurant can do that many dishes as well as they should be done. The prices were fair, though. We ordered a wood-fired pizza and the Mediterranea salad. That salad was amazing--and huge!!! The pizza was undercooked and super soggy. Our friend ordered the lobster ravioli and said it was delicious. It was presented nicely. They have a great wine selection without being exorbitantly priced. They won't split checks, which is ridiculous. It is so easy to do. With Baltimore being a common location for conferences, where people dine together, they need to figure that out. read more

Wow! This is such a hidden gem! It's right in the cut and across the street from the Inner Harbor. Decided to go for date night last night and glad that I did. It was very quaint not a big location at all. The lights were dimmed and I love how they had candles on the tables and real candles not the fake ones lol. Our host was extremely nice and patient though at times we had trouble hearing him because he did have a soft voice. I enjoyed that there were TVs but only at the bar area, but they were still visible from our table. Now let's get into the food. The food was absolutely amazing. The pastas were really rich and bursting with flavor. Each of us ordered a pasta dish that had seafood in it and the seafood was extremely fresh And real not imitation crab. I definitely will go again. They have a lot to offer on their menu and I really enjoyed myself. We also found out on Tuesdays. There are half price bottles of wine, which I definitely would want to take advantage of moving forward. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because of the Caesar salad. It was way too much pepper. So much that we couldn't even finish it. And then decided to just have it sent back and remade with no pepper. I have not been to a Facci's restaurant in a long time. I was happy to hear that there was a new location at the harbor. This location, right on Light St., across from the Harbor, is eye-catching. It was a bit on the sour side. The espresso martini was a nice treat. Great taste. I ordered the bacon wrap shrimp. Looked great but the shrimp was under cooked. The Louisiana Penne pasta looked great as well. No salt and pepper in dish. I asked for more season and recieved a small cup with probably 3-4 pinches of seasoning. My order included POLIPO ALLA GRIGLIA (Grilled Octopus) which was verr chewy - obviously not very fresh and over cooked. For my entree I ordered POLLO LIMONE (Lemon Chicken) which was horrible. All I could taste was the lemon and capers whose flavors overwhelmed the dish. It looked like an entire bottle of capers was emptied on the dish. The chicken was over-cooked as was the pasta and there was no hint of garlic. We had to ask for Parmesan when we saw our server more than half wat through the meal. the only thing that was good was the wine. I had dinner at Facci with a friend last weekend, when we were in the neighborhood for a play. What was nice about it: The service was great; our waitress was really helpful, lovely, friendly. The restaurant itself is beautiful - high ceilings, well decorated. Comfortable and elegant (but still casual enough that you definitely don't have to dress up). The location isn't an area I frequent often, but it's nice to have a more upscale option in the area for if you're heading to a show or event. Their wine list was great - lots of wonderful Italian options to enjoy with your dinner. What wasn't as good: The food. The menu is huge (way too many options in my opinion; on a menu this big, I don't think the kitchen can make everything consistently delicious) - I think there are 50 items on the menu, including 20 pastas. We shared four items between the two of us. We started with the calamari, which was quite good. We shared two pastas: the linguine alle vongole (a classic dish - little neck clams, cherry tomatoes, garlic white wine sauce) and the ravioli d'aragosta (ravioli stuffed with lobster with chives, creamy saffron sauce, crab, and asparagus). The linguini was pretty good. It's a classic dish and a pretty decent version of it. However, I really didn't enjoy the ravioli. The pasta was too thick, so the edges of the ravioli were too thick and chewy. I also thought the filling was stiff and stodgy - a bad texture and not very flavorful either. To me, the ravioli was a miss. For dessert, we shared the chocolate souffle (moist chocolate lava cake with a side of vanilla gelato). It wasn't bad, so my issue with the dish was really a labeling issue - lava cake is not souffle. But the lava cake was good. Overall, the food was inconsistent. Some of the dishes were good, but that one ravioli dish was really a miss for me. Overall, our meal was okay, but I'd return and try different items from the menu if I'm in the area for dinner again. read more
