I was so excited by FACE BY ERIN at first. Erin was so nice, and reached out personally even though Paige was my injector. I followed Paige from a different clinic and trusted her completely. For my 44th, I decided to treat myself & Paige recommended tear trough filler. I wasn't entirely certain why & she couldn't exactly explain what would change, but I trusted her. BIG MISTAKE! The process was exhausting and painful. Paige & Erin both explained troughs are tricky and would need to be adjusted over time, likely several times. I understood and was quite patient. They injected, removed, re-injected, and the day of my follow-up... Erin cancelled me. I wrote a Yelp review out of utter disbelief and Erin ultimately refunded my troughs, which I appreciated. HOWEVER, I've now gone to OHSU plastic surgery dept., and several other providers trying to fix what FACE BY ERIN caused. I need to pay someone else to completely dissolve the lumps left in my face, AND THEN we need to assess the real damage. This is looking to be a much larger problem, as Erin and Paige no doubt could tell -- suddenly I'm understanding their eagerness to have me leave and "disappear." Not only are the lumps unsightly, they are also painful. I'm told the filler was injected completely wrong, likely ruptured a blood vessel under my right eye, and actually caused under eye darkness. I'm writing this as a real life warming... GO TO OHSU PLASTIC SURGERY DEPT. Please please please do not risk having your face completely messed up, and then having Face By Erin suddenly refuse to fix the problems they caused. They were nice, but utterly incompetent. But discovering Erin at her former salon a few years ago I've had consistently pleasing results. Shes a combination of intuitive, cautious and incredibly talent. Erin was recommended to me by my hair dresser as an affordable, and outstanding, botox choice in the area. I am SO glad I took that advice! Erin is amazing. This is the first time I've had botox and Erin was friendly, personable and comforting. She explained everything and really took her time. She was more than willing to answer all my questions and made me feel sure of what I was doing. On top of that Erin is real. She doesn't try and sell you on things or push products - which I LOVE. I asked for a recommendation on a skin care product and she even told me to cut the pads in half to make them last longer. I love it. I'm happy to spend money on a good service and know you get what you pay for, but I really appreciate Erin's honesty. After getting botox I started following Erin on Instagram and saw they were running a special - $200 Diamond Glow facial with Sam with four free products. Personally, I think this is a sweet deal! Facials are awesome, but I need good quality products to keep up results. I've struggled with red pigmentation and acne (with scars) all my life. And now wrinkles. This diamond glow facial improved my skin in so many ways. I also love that it starts with a peach fuzz removal so your skin is so smooth and soft after. My skin also felt hydrated and clean after the final mask. The facial was great but Sam is wonderful. She was so attentive and explained everything. Like Erin, Sam is honest and helpful. Sam answered my endless number of questions and gave me so much practical advice on skin care. She took her time and really made me feel comfortable. Erin gets it - She gets us! Aethetics is seeing a new day in what people want and hope for ... not obvious exaggerated enhancements! Natural, gradual - subtle improvements of the beauty you have always had. I am nearing 50, A mom ... I have no desire to look obvious. It feels counter intuitive to all I have accomplished is terms of what I have acheived emtionally after so many years - self confidence / self acceptance ... I am not talking about getting lips I never had before ... How about looking a little less tired and a little more put together, but still me. Erin is a magician! She makes the process slow, is conservative, but confident and she knows the tricks to make improvements possible - in a subtle way. She doesn't let you talk her into doing things that are not in your best interest - even tho she might be able to make more money if she agreed - and she doesn't hustle. "Are you losing weight?" "Is that new eye makeup?" - And while I love that I am able to stump them ... I really feel like we need to embrace what cosmetic procedures can do for your self esteem.
