Further, my decision was treated with respect which made me feel more confident about moving forward. I ended up getting masseter Botox for my TMJ. My injector made me feel comfortable and even provided me with anxiety relief tools. She was precise, patient, and provided wonderful patient care. Unfortunately, my injector is no longer at this business but I'd be willing to see others who are also qualified and experienced. I also appreciate the complementary 2 week follow up because it alleviates any concerns about possible complications.

I have only had Dysport, nothing else and recently went to an equally if not a better location for similar injectables at the Vancouver waterfront and it was a fraction of the price. You can also find Groupons (then cross check their Yelp reviews) for a fraction of that. I usually prefer to do lasers etc when I travel because it is MUCH LESS than of the price for the same treatments in the states, but I usually get Botox at home. Overall the vibes are weird, cons of treatments (other than dangerous) aren't really shared, or alternative options for the look you want are not shared (if not sold here) similar to other reviews. I originally tried Dysport in my massetur muscles in my jaw for tension. It helped of course but I did notice slight jowling after which I found out was correlated/caused from Botox in the jaw from tiktok vids. Needless to say, it isn't addressing the underlying problem and is just a bandaid. My last appointment here, I shared I wanted to look a little lifted and refreshed mostly under my eyes. I had done lasers and microneedling in the past which helped, but was short lived. Now -- more thanks to tiktok -- I probably need to fork over for sculptra or sofwave. This will NOT be fixed by injectables. My nurse told me she could do a little cheek filer and some other filler around my face. Mind you, I'm terrified of filler. Potentially I would want a facelift down the line which I have heard can complicate that process, but mostly I don't like the bloated look, it is often so obvious and then you become blind to it, keep getting it, and look crazy. Especially in the cheeks. I already have full lips so I don't need that. It was sold as if it would even out my face and give more balance, and I thought about it, did trust the nurse, who had great texture but who's own filler was still a tad overdone, making me a little wary. It's not like Botox where it wears off over months. You're getting it "dissolved" or whatever with little lumps lying around forever, so I wanted to take the time to think about it and ended up canceling. I could see others being very pressured and trying at the appointment even though I'm sure this is as overpriced as Botox and it gives you the vibes they're trying to hit a metric. They should give you options--even if they don't offer the treatment--for the result you are looking for.

When I said I would like to see the actual dermatologist, I was told that would be an additional 2 month wait on top of an already 4 month wait to see a P.A. This was never disclosed upfront. The clinic is staffed almost entirely by PAs with only one MD. If you want to see an actual board-certified dermatologist, expect a significant additional wait that they will not mention unless you specifically ask. I also asked about appointment reminders and was told I would receive one a day or two before the actual appointment. I will be going elsewhere where I am treated with respect, and honesty. The woman that answered the phone was very disrespectful, patronizing and just plain rude to me!!!

They don't do ANY of that. My partner and I started with just a Groupon for laser and we keep finding things that are a good value to go in for. If I have one suggestion, it's to book your next appointment when you are there versus going through the website/app or leaving a message. They don't have like a full time receptionist.

For my first experience and someone who was looking to stick their foot in the puddle, she was fantastic! A few things I'd like to point out about Cheri: 1) Walking in was very welcoming and something about the atmosphere was not only very professional but super relaxing! I really liked that as I have a very easy going vibe. 2) She understood it was my first time and clearly I'm not a lash expert. I told her the basics of what I was looking for and she made magic. 3) Small detail but girlllll her playlist is on point!!! Seriously! Like every song was good and it totally fit the vibe of the room. The music was a small but nice bonus! Probably silly but if you're a music fan, she's got good taste. 4) Even with my eyes closed I could just feel how careful she was and paid so much attention to detail. To sum it all up, not only did she do a fantastic job that has me completely satisfied, she has a wonderful business atmosphere and you can just tell how passionate she is about her work. I learned about Lash Lala when I came across a fabulous Groupon deal for new clients offered by the owner Cheri W. I had *a lot* of questions for Cheri--especially when it came down to how upgrades and fills work--as I had never had my lashes done before. Cheri answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. ...When I showed up at her space, I was impressed by the tranquil clean atmosphere and lash-information booklets on the table to leaf through while I waited (I was early). When I saw how excited Cheri's current client was as Cheri finished, my turn couldn't happen fast enough. When all was done, I too was over the moon when I saw my lashes! I became an instant fan and lashes are now just as much a part of my life as my hair, brows, nails, etc. I've been for a few fills and I've enjoyed each experience. I have been seeing Ally for the past 2 years. She started out just doing my facials regularly but then I started exploring the other medical services that she offered an couldn't be more thrilled with my skin. I followed her from her last place of business to The Beauty Collective. What a cute studio! I was refreshed at the space as well as the kindness of the staff. Ally is very knowledgeable with her skin services and I find that I always leave knowing a little bit more and more about it. I never used to get that with past Estheticians. Over the last year, I have seen her for my Microneedling to take care of my wrinkles. I had some pretty severe ones on the sides of my face and on my neck. The ones on the sides of my face are nearly gone and I used to have 2 deep lines on each side. I love that she is patient and willing to answer any question that I have or don't understand. I was recently visiting the Portland area and decided to have eyelash extensions done for an event I was attending. I'm so glad I found Lash and Beauty Lab. They were great from the start ... the woman that booked my appointment was friendly and made a point to find a time for me. I guess they are pretty booked up, but she understood this was important to me and booked me in with the boutique owner, Cheri. The space is conveniently located; and is clean, luxurious and inviting. The receptionist made me feel so welcome and I barely noticed the short wait (they are super busy!) Cheri is a true professional, with a flair for enhancing beauty and was not daunted by the fact that my own lashes are quite short and pale -- the end result after my session was a set of long, beautiful lashes. I have been going to the Beauty Collective for at least 6 months now and it has been a great experience so far. I used to get classic lashes done at another salon further away, but had to get an emergency fill from Claire when my original artist was on vacation. During my visit with Claire, I inquired about the differences between volume/classics (my original artist did not offer any other service but classics) and she showed me Shelly's lashes. After that, I booked with Shelly to try out the volume set and have been getting them done since! I love the look of volume lashes on me and am so glad that I found Shelly. She is very thorough and my lashes last MUCH longer now than they ever did. All the girls are quite friendly so it is a great atmosphere as well. I happened to meet her while I was working on NW 23rd, and I asked her where she got her lashes done because I'd been looking for a fabulous lash-master since I moved to Portland. I'm so lucky to have ran into her that day! She does great lashes for a great price (believe me--I'm willing to pay for great lashes, but it's also nice to save a little). I didn't even realize how bad my last set of lashes were until I got mine done by her! The process was quick (an hour for a set of 45) and super relaxing. I've been to several lash studios in Portland, including one of the most well known. I'm very picky and was able to find fault with all of them, from lashes falling out within a day to the stylist not removing old grown out lashes during a fill. The only place that I've been truly happy with is Lash and Beauty Lab. I've seen a few of the girls here and each one if friendly, and personable. Most importantly, they do great work and are very detail oriented and careful. I haven't been able to find fault with their work and believe me I've carefully checked my lashes after each appointment. You won't be disappointed if you choose to become a client. read more

I've gotten lash extensions in the past from other places I found on Groupon, and long story short, you get what you pay for. Even though they are cheaper, they don't last as long and they don't look as good. I finally decided to quit being cheap and go to a place that specializes in lash extensions. I was super nervous as this was my first time getting eyelash extensions. I was welcomed by Claire who did an awesome job presenting me the different eyelash looks. After showing me a picture of the different looks I decided to go with the classic look (50 lashes) faux mink, cat eye style with a D curl. I was very comfortable throughout the application process; which took about 2 hours. When I finally got to the mirror I was AMAZED! I came in to see Cheri before a vacation to Palm Springs. Cheri did an amazing job with my lashes. She asked lots of questions about the look I was going for. She was very thorough and explained the process in detail, and then was very meticulous in placing the lashes. When I've tried to get lashes done before, my eyes basically swelled up to double their size, so I couldn't do it. Everything - the color, shape, thickness, length, etc was taken into consideration. The entire visit took just over two hours with consult. The procedure, while not a natural feeling to close your eyes and have someone flutter above you, was painless. We listened to music I enjoyed and talked about silly life happening and were just quiet sometimes. There was no pressure to talk and the silences were not awkward. It was very relaxing overall. I have only had the silk extensions for less than 24 hours, but so far I am sold! To wake up and not have to do makeup has been a dream for many years! I am not a girlie girl, but have always worn mascara and now I can have that look as soon as I roll out of bed in the morning! Sarah's prices are more than fair, her demeanor is wonderful and her space is very comfortable and centrally located! I will be back and I highly recommend Dollhouse Lashes to anyones who asks.
