I've been to the Edina FF several times, but the last time I went I was SO glad to see they had updated (and moved) their space. Previously, the facials were given in one large room that was so bright you got a headache, blaring pop music and you were plopped on a bed like a piece of meat. They've since adopted a similar style as the other FFs where there's a separate front desk area as well as a darker room with beds further apart to give more privacy and tranquility. I was so happy to see this, as without this upgrade, this location would've been 1 star for me. I always receive the Sculpt facial and I've had varying experiences here. Sometimes I've been asked about my skincare or concerns, others I haven't. Same with being offered a blanket, water, to remove my shoes or preferred pressure. The estheticians I've had that have been great have been wonderful, but it's definitely a mixed bag. read more

I was able to schedule a facial and chemical peel for the next day. I ended up switching my service based on my skin type/needs which I appreciated. For the price I felt like it was a quality service. The only thing I wasn't prepared for was being in the same room as other patrons getting facials. If you are looking for a completely quiet experience or one where your neck and chest are included - this wouldn't be the place for you. I had booked an appointment 2 days in advance for a facial at the Edina locatio. On the website I checked the box for the use of Accutane (acne medication). I wasn't concerned about me being on accutane since there was nothing provided about the use of Accutane or any concerns on the website. When I showed up to my appointment today they told me that there was no way I could get a facial because I am on Accutane. Other places I have been never were concerned about the usage of accutane so this was surprising to me. If they are so concerned why don't they say tha on the website! The lady who informed me was quite condescending and made me feel very embarrassed. Will not be coming back for rude employees and bad customer service and over priced facials. I received a gift card to Face Foundrie so I went for the cryo-facial and I absolutely loved my experience! This location is right inside the Galleria mall by Starbucks and Cov. It's nice and convenient for anyone in the western suburbs! The space is stark white, yet I still found it had a boho feel and inviting/welcoming energy. It was calming and clean without feeling sterile. All of the employees I met were so sweet and easy to talk to. When I arrived for my appointment I was taken to the back right away and we discussed my skincare, and skin concerns & anything my esthetician should be aware of. I was comfortable once I laid down and had a nice warm blanket on and a head wrap. I loved that my esthetician asked if I wanted to be walked through my treatment or just relax. The cryo-facial starts with a double cleanse and moisturize to prep the skin. I added on free extractions which felt amazing, and didn't even hurt! Then I had a nice facial massage/sculpting before the cryo. Once we started the treatment I had little tanning goggles on and it felt like my face was being sculpted with cold air. It wasn't too cold, it was just right and I felt very "snatched". This immediately led to an LED treatment, where I also got a scalp massage. The facial concluded with moisturizer, and a shoulder massage. My 45 minutes was amazing and relaxing - I cannot recommend enough! Especially when the cryo-facial is the same price as some of the other full length facials. Overall - including tip, my total was about $80. Definitely will be back - and will be gifting some gift cards for the holidays! read more

The service was great and I really was glowing, but the space felt less like a relaxing me time and more like a rushed sort of thing. I knew that I wouldn't be in a private and quiet room. I travel all across the US for work and am always looking for a good spot to get a facial. I usually get one a month. I found a great spot! I really appreciate how clean/sanitized and safe they made me feel during these crazy times. When you enter you sanitize your hands and get your temperature taken . Everyone has masks on and face shields when the actual service is taking place. I must admit the first time I came in and realized this wasn't like a "typical" spa experience, meaning no robes, no fancy waiting room with fun teas or treats etc, I was a bit bummed. But after experiencing the service and results I have been back 7 times in my four month stay in MN these folks really know their stuff and my face is literally glowing after each time. You get to keep the cute headband which I really like ;) I have received the hydro facial. Derma babe, the acne/clearing facial and several add ons. I have loved each one! FYI for all you folks that don't know where you're going when it comes to the galleria haha, according to my maps this was located by good earth in the galleria but it was actually by Starbucks across from the COV restaurant. Such a cool space and great concept, for such a big space I would just like more of a waiting area or place to sit while waiting for your appointment instead of asking clients to go walk around and come back. You're getting quality spa treatments in a bright open area blocked off from other service providers with curtains. The space is crisp clean and modern. All of the ladies working looked put together and professional. The service I chose is called the 'dermababe' which is derma-planing (razoring off dead skin and fuzz) great facial and the products smell amazing. Laura explained everything she was using during my facial and gave great suggestions for up keep. This is a great addition to the Galleria, I will be back again! I have been to face foundrie a handful of times and have been underwhelmed compared to other providers in the area. The last time I got a lash lift and tint and my lashes were ruined. I have always had very long, full lashes and I have always had great results from the lift and tint. After getting them done at FF, my lashes looked fried and have been falling out at an alarming rate. I'm not sure if it's the chemicals they use or the esthetician that did it, but I will not go back. read more

The face foundry is such a great addition to the Galleria! The price point of their services is very competitive with other spas in the metro, and I actually find it more affordable considering all that you get. I did the dermababe facial & am so glad that I did! It leaves your skin feeling great, and with all the additions they add to the service you leave with a great glow! I also added on the light treatment, which was completely worth it & it really worked! I may consider doing their membership in the future because the cost benefit is even better! *Update from July 2020: tonight was my first time back in to FACE FOUNDRIÉ since the start of the pandemic, and I was so impressed with their continued attention to cleanliness. But of course, it was even more heightened & felt extremely safe. The check-in process was seamless. I got the Go Glow! Facial with the collagen mask add-on & it was exactly what the doctor ordered! If you happened to read my review for the Lash Refinery and how I called their number to get help with an allergic reaction I had, this is where is happened. I can't express how kind, compassionate and gentle the interaction was! Don't get me wrong, removing the lashes they did NOT apply was painful due to my swelling and broken skin sensitivity, but the results were magnificent. I could open my eyes fully within one hour, my runny nose, congestion and sneezing gone after three. I can't state this enough. To give a great review when all went great is easy. To give a great review because someone cared enough to spring into action and fix a problem, now that's priceless. I love treating myself to facials every once in awhile, so I decided to try this place out. The spa itself is clean and white- everything you would want a spa to be. I received a warm welcome in, which I always appreciate. During my service, my esthetician tailored everything to my needs and wants, explaining the products and telling me the benefits. The only complaint I have is that since it is an open concept design, there is not much relaxation. There were moments when it was silent and their music was the only thing I could hear, but when other clients finished up next to me, their conversations would halt my relaxation. As a person who loves to be deeply relaxed and be uninterrupted, I did not enjoy that. Everything else was awesome. Price, service, customer service. I really wanted to like Face Foundrie with it being a Minnesota started company. I loved supporting a local, woman owned operation but this place has a great aesthetic but everything else is so sub par. The facial I got, I broke out. The dermaplaning, I broke out. The tech doing the dermaplaning wasn't wearing gloves and had super long nails...ugh, goosebumps thinking about it. You may ask, why after either of these experiences would I go back...the prices are good so I thought I would give it one more try with my eyebrows. I had them waxed and laminated. The wax was so uneven. I have been working so hard to get them back to a good shape and the tech ruined them. To make things worse, the lamination turned my eyebrows ORANGE. They are naturally dark brown. They "fixed" it for free a week later and were really nice about it but the dye job was SO DARK it looked terrifying. And now a week later the orange is coming back through. I don't even want to go back, I'm sorry. I've given them so many chances. Don't be fooled by the beautiful space and decorations - spend a little more and get a great service somewhere else. read more

My friend and I were so excited to book our facials here! We got a phone call the day of saying my friend's esthetician called in sick. The woman I spoke with was very kind in trying to reschedule us and booked us a complimentary lip and eye mask with our treatments. We rebooked and confirmed our appointments for today, then I get a phone call that her esthetician called in sick again. I totally understand that things happen, and I try to be understanding, but this is EXTREMELY frustrating and they continue to be unable to book us on the same day.
