I did see this on the agreement when booking, but the fact that I had to go to work unexpectedly and they "already waived the fee" for me two years ago made this entire situation infuriating. EDIT: The response to this review only supports my original conclusion toward this company with phrases like "you threatened to leave a bad review" and "if you didn't get your way" which is exactly why I attached screenshots. I will gladly let them keep my $85 if it encourages potential clients to take their business elsewhere. I hate that I am giving only three stars, but I'm bummed about the way my appointment went. I've been struggling with skin issues for years and have taken so much time to personally research skin care and good products. I was never able to afford getting regular facials until recently. I was seen today at skin mpls by someone who I could tell was busy. There was a client before me and a client waiting when I got done. I was really looking forward to getting an assessment done on my skin and learning about the treatments being done and the products recommended. Unfortunately, none of that happened. I lied on the bed and she just started applying products to my face and was using tools without telling me what they were. I guess I don't need to hear every single thing she's doing, but it would have been nice to have a warning before a vibrating or a suctioning tool was used on my face... It just didn't seem like she was interested in talking skin or skin care with me, which was a bummer because I think that's a part of the experience.. being educated! I just felt uncomfortable asking questions at the end because I could tell she was trying to get me out. I even had to ask her for a product recommendation at the end and ended up purchasing. She didn't give me any recommendations or tell me her observations. I understand that people can shut down when things get busy or maybe she was having an off day. I had services done my Kenzie today and had the Elevate85 facial done. She was super friendly and descriptive on what she was doing and giving me tips. I told her I've taken Accutane like a decade ago when my acne was super bad and it did help my acne but after having my daughter; my skin changed and I started getting acne again. I just did not know what products to use during breastfeeding and my face changed so much so current products were not working as they used to. Kenzie gave me tips on what products to use and names to look for in ingredients so it will not clog my pores. I honestly feel like they truly do love working in acne and are not afraid to take it on unlike some spas and places I've gone for past treatments. She truly was a breath of fresh air. Kenzie even told me to take photos of my products and she would let me know if she recommended them or not due to the ingredients in the product. I felt so comfortable with her and felt like I was talking to a close friend and trusted her advice. What makes them different from other places too are there are no gratuities. Even on their website they put this, "We do not accept gratuity. Our pricing reflects the value we provide in each session and our team's pay structure is fair and transparent. I had struggled with acne (painful cysts, whiteheads, etc) from 5th grade until I one day stumbled upon Cassie's website. She seriously changed my life! The reviews are true! This place is beyond amazing! I've only had my first appointment with Pamela and I feel like I saw a HUGE difference with my skin. Pamela took the time to go through the ingredients of the items that I used daily. She showed me the ingredients that I should look out for and the products that I should try to shelf away for a little while. She was not pushy with buying products that she recommended. She even gave me an alternative i could use for a drugstore sunscreen. I bought the cleanser, lotion, and drops that she recommended. I already see a difference in just changing my products! This place is absolutely amazing. As someone who has never had clear skin, it took a lot for me to even commit to going to see someone. Let's be real - it's embarrassing! After reading reviews, I filled out an intake form on their website and saw Pamela for my first appointment. These ladies really take the time to help you understand what is in the products you are currently using and why those ingredients may be clogging your pores. I switched out my entire skin routine from random things I would buy at Target to their Vivant line. More expensive, but in my opinion worth every penny...and better than aimlessly wandering makeup aisles not knowing what the heck to buy. I have learned SO much over the last 7 months about taking care of my skin, using SPF, and what each product does to help my skin. I had no idea what Mandelic Acid even was and now I want to use it on my entire body because it makes my skin clearer and smoother overnight! I also switched over to Bare Minerals foundation (a SKIN MPLS recommendation), even though I've always been a liquid foundation gal since I was skeptical powder foundation would give me the coverage I needed. Boy was I wrong - and now I need far less coverage anyway. Pamela is so sweet and helpful. I never feel judged, or like she is pushing products on me. She truly helped me find a skin care routine that has WORKED, and now I go in once a month for a facial and pick up a new product if I need to, based on my skin's needs. I'm so, so, glad I found this place! They specialize in acne solutions which was precisely what I was looking for when I discovered this place. If you book an appointment for acne services, they don't just give you a facial. You get a full consultation that goes through all the skincare products and supplements you use on top of an hour-long facial. They also do extractions with a facial to eradicate any congested pores. And I can't get over how amazing their products are! I used to go to Ulta and shell out hundreds of dollars hoping that higher-priced cleansers and moisturizers would solve my skin problems. I tried masks, night creams, day creams, exfoliators that would either do nothing or horribly irritate my skin, on top of outrageously expensive cosmetics. But Hannah suggested a simple regimen along with recommendations for cosmetics that are actually non-comedogenic. And believe me when I tell you, my face transformed within 3 months.
