Leila is great! I went to her for the first time after trying to find my new regular place in Minnesota and will definitely be coming back. I trust her to take care of my brows. She was very good at respecting my preferences and is very meticulous with her work. She pays good attention to detail and works very fast. I paid about $30-$35 so it's a bit pricier than I've paid before but it's worth it in my opinion. Her shop is located inside of a building with different multicultural stalls and as someone who's a bit directionally challenged I had to walk around a bit but if you just follow the signs then you're all set. Parking is also a bit challenging but that's because there's construction being done when I visited. The studio is very clean and well lit! Will definitely be coming back. read more

I was in Midtown Global Market to pick up some lunch and decided to get Brow Threading done since they didn't have any other customers at the time. Muneeta (I think this is what she said her name was) was very happy and helpful. The salon is cute and small with only 3 chairs, but the location is very convenient for me. Brow threading service was $25. The only awkward part was that she asked me to use my hands to hold the skin near my eyebrows tight while she worked. I've only had brow threading done a few times before, but this was a first for me and I wasn't sure I was doing it right. The service was painless and done in 10 minutes. I went to Leila's Brow Art and the reviews from Yelp was accurate! It was a very good price and great service! When I walked in both of the ladies were working with customers. I walked up to the desk and there was a notebook there you can just sign in since they only do walk in appointments. Also, you might have to walk around the various shops in Midtown Global Store if you haven't been there but you'll eventually find it with the sign. Anyways I haven't gotten my eyebrows threaded in years and the lady warned me it might be painful. It was great to get that warning so I knew what to expect. After a while I had gotten use to the threading. She did tell me that my eyebrows were not the exact same shape so she was going to do her best to shape them exactly the same. She gave me advice on to grow out parts so hopefully it'll become even again. She did a great job and I enjoyed the look of my eyebrows after she was done! I don't trust anyone with my eyebrows - except Leila's. Eyebrows are important because you expect quality AND consistency. I can say they provide both. $13/14 for eyebrow threading. It hurts because I pay $5 in CA but you do have to take into account the geographic difference, and when you do they're are reasonably priced. read more

Update: I went back and had Leila do my brows and I walked out of there very happy. She's is very detail oriented and doesn't let you walk out until they're perfect! Drove a distance in hopes that Leila herself could do my eyebrows as I had read such great reviews. When I got there, Leila had me sit and wait for a very young girl to get back from eating. I get my eyebrows threaded every 3 weeks so am familiar with its discomfort, but this was the most painful threading I have ever had. 3 hours have passed and my skin still burns so I just looked in the mirror and there are cuts from the thread underneath my eyebrows and it is so swollen. I've never left with an opening in the skin like I have currently. It's that kind of trauma that I like I avoid from waxing which is why I do threading. Never returning. Go somewhere that has girls older than 16 doing your brows...yes, this girl told me she was 16. read more

I have been looking for a eyebrow threading place closer to home! The reviews definitely helped sway my decision of giving Leilas's Brow Art a chance! And I'm glad I did! I have experience in getting eyebrows threaded as I was introduced to it about 2 years ago! I was expecting mild discomfort because of my past experiences, however the artist that was working with me was very gentle! Also, I am very particular about the shape of my eyebrows and told the artist upfront that I didn't want anything hair taken from the top, she listened and when she was working close to the top of my brow she eased my anxiety and reassured me of what she was doing. You can't beat the price! Lastly, she showed me how to color my brows in and a tip of how to make them grow faster! I will definitely be back! PS. Bizarre service. Imagine a hair stylist starts cutting your hair without talking you while yipping on the phone.... I went in for long overdue brow care. she motioned me to a chair while she was on a phone & tried to thread my brow, without any normal curtsy hello, welcome, or even explain anything . WITHOUT a mask(we 're in middle of pandemic!) . I wasn't even there for brow threading! I asked her a few times if she she touch basis and explain things since i never had brow threading before. While the esthetician was nice, and the brows looked good after an efficient job, it hurt a bit. Very affordable compared to fancy salons. I felt a "pinching" and exclaimed that I didn't know it would hurt. Next day I saw some scabs on both of my eyelids, which was alarming and a bummer because I was going to a big family wedding. I don't think it was noticeable at wedding a few days later thank goodness. My sister told me that some places use a cream to make it easier and not hurt the skin. There is only one person there that will thread your eyebrows nicely. Sweet pregnant lady is the only one that has the right skills to be in her role. Everyone else does your eyebrows how they feel they should look, too thin! I literally grew out my eyebrows for 4 weeks so I can reshape and have thicker eyebrows, my usual lady was not there when I arrived. I decided to take another chance on someone and she royally messed up my eyebrows, I've never had such thin brows in my life. I'm so disappointed because this isn't the first time they've done this. I was introduced to eyebrow threading at Leila's Brow Art three years ago by a friend and have been devoted ever since! Everyone at LBA is amazing at what they do - and you leave looking fabulous every time. If they're not busy, I can be in and out in about 10 minutes for an eyebrow and upper lip threading. If there's a wait - well - it's worth it! I was SO sad when COVID shut everything down, but the processes and protocols that LBA has put in place to reopen are effective, easy to understand, and make you feel very safe. I had really high hopes for Leila's Brow Art after reading the masses of wonderful reviews. I had been getting my brows threaded by a very sweet Indian lady who works out of her home, but she ended up moving to Chicago. So, I preface this review by saying that I have had my brows threaded several times prior to coming to Leila's, and have a good idea of what I like. Leila does have a good location in Midtown global market, and it's easy to find. You do have to pay for parking, and her hours are limited (Not open after 5pm on weeknights, which is a bummer for me). The part I was unsatisfied with, was the shape/thickness of my brow at the end of the experience. With threading, I am used to having very defined brows, with sharp lines, that when I fill them in, look like "Instagram Model brows". My brows didn't look bad, by any means, but I didn't like how thick she left them. When I fill them in, I didn't like how bushy they still seemed. She gave me tips on how to grow parts of my brow back, as other people mentioned, but I realized that I the "bald spots" she was mentioning, is usually what I have waxed off anyway. in addition, I hadn't had my eyebrows touched for nearly 4 months when I went to see Leila, so there was plenty to work with-- definitely not sparse. I think some people who have naturally very thin brows, or have thin brows from years of over-plucking (remember the year 2000, anyone??) might benefit from Leila's work, but I personally didn't like how mine turned out. But, if you're like me and have thicker brows already, and like a more defined look, Leila may not be your lady. read more

Bad service. When I went there, there was no person to assist me. The other worker from another shop had to go get the girl and she barely spoke to me. When she threaded my eyebrows she kept poking my eyes with the thread. My eyebrows didn't even turn out great. I had no say in anything because she just told me to sit down and hurried up and did my eyebrows. Will not be coming here again. read more

I came here because of all the great reviews, decided to check it out and I was excited! Didn't even get my eyebrows done because of there "sign up" process. I wish they had a way to book appointments I waited for almost an hour and watched people sign up and get called back within ten minutes.
