Great service. We have been here before and returned for a mother-daughter self care Sunday. We made appointments in advance on the app, easy peezy. Waited only a short 5 minutes or so after checking in even though we were ten minutes early. My very sensitive skin loved the clean and natural facial. Starting with aromatherapy and a shoulder massage and relaxing into the facial cleansing and skin care is genius. I opted for the weighted blanket for a bit of extra relaxation and comfort. I am surprised every time that the beds are only separated by curtains and not walls. Admittedly, this has never been and issue and I feel safe, secure and privately attended to every time. It gives the space an open feel for the few minutes that my eyes are open to notice it. It's too easy to book and breeze through here, walking out with refreshed and moisturized skin. I'll keep going back.

Back in the Car~ are we glowing yet?

This "focused facial bar" experience was a pleasant surprise and exceeded my expectations. Having a family member in the beauty business and seeing her consistently for skincare and facials for quite a number of years, I was skeptical about trying new facial salons...after all no one was better than my "cousin Barbara!" I arrived a little early to acclimate myself, take some photos and get a sense of the Salon. I found Face Foundrie to be a relaxing environment even though it sits directly on Upper King Street! I was escorted to the facial bed area- not an enclosed room but it still worked- and was asked asked if I would like a blanket. As it was a cold day, I quickly said yes. By all means ....Get the blanket!!! You will be wrapped up, made real comfy and you will feel like you are in a cocoon....and will be an added plus to your facial treatment. I had the mini facial but it felt like a full fledged facial treatment with tons of massaging of the face, different product applications and numerous hot towels applied in order to help the products penetrate into your skin. A membership is available should you plan to become a regular. I left Face Foundrie "glowing" and can't wait to return. My specialist was Olivia ~ she is very competent and made me feel like I was "in good hands!"

I was lucky enough to get a minifacial and massage with extraction. I loved every second of it. I will go over pros and cons but I LOVED this. Pros- So relaxing My face is glowing My lips are so moisturized Cons- Some music was not relaxing The massage was weak Something got in my eye and made it burn. I had to ask to have it wiped off Though there were some cons I would go again. Go for yourself and see how amazing it is.

It was a great day for a facial! I have never heard of this place before the yelp event email and I was pleasantly surprised! I go frequently to get spa facials but this was different. There were no changing rooms or robes. Go in comfortable clothes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I added on oil planing and extractions and I'm so happy I did to lengthen my time. They provided a comfortable table to lay on as well as a weighted blanket. It was a comfortable experience and my skin feels amazing!! I was provided chocolates upon leaving. Great experience!

I received the mini facial service. Olivia was my esthetician. The entire experience was great. I was greeted when I walked in, and everyone in the spa was kind. Olivia was attentive and made sure I we comfortable. She asked me questions about my skin and walked me through each part of the process, explaining along the way. I will definitely go back. It's also nice that they're right next to the parking garage connected to the Hyatt House, which made the experience seamless for me as someone who hates trying to find parking in downtown Charleston. Can't wait to visit again, soon!

I came here for a mini facial & would definitely come back! The place was spacious & relaxing and my esthetician, Katy, was knowledgeable and helpful. My skin was glowing afterward & I especially loved the shoulder massage that started and ended the facial. Wish I had purchased an add-on but now I know for next time.

The cutest establishment! Love that there are different options at reasonable prices, and the service is always great. I always leave glowing. My favorite is the sculpting facial, and the lip balm at the end.

Goodbye to my former self and a WARNING to those contemplating what I once considered a small…read morecosmetic procedure ....I just wanted to take a moment and share my story to spare someone from going through what I've gone through; the life long complications and the realization that I will be permanently disfigured both aesthetically and functionally. The face in the mirror will NEVER be the same as it was prior to January 30th nor will my soul. On January 30th: Celebrating my 40th Birthday I decided to get filler in my nasolabial folds (wrinkles between the lips and nose). Feb 1st: Incredible pain and white blanching/bluish tint. Told it was normal. Bruising. Feb 2nd: Realized what I was experiencing was skin necrosis and the tissue on the left side of my nose was dead and the cartilage was collapsing in on itself. This was from my own "gut instinct" that it wasn't bruising as I was told; the black skin was not going to "grow back". A laser treatment or IPL was not going to reshape my nose, as I was told. For the next several weeks I was shuffled to a "private" waiting room as to not let other potential clients see the damage that was done to my face. My self esteem, at an all time low, was further shattered by being hidden from plain view because the "med spa" didn't want their bottom line to be hurt. After that "follow up", where I was yet again told everything was fine and put "Aquaphore" on it; I made the decision that it was time to seek proper treatment from a competent medical professional. What followed was many months of not being able to leave my house unless it was to get my wet to dry bandages changed. The possibility of infection and further cartilage damage was my sentence to spend the next four months within the four walls of my home. In May I underwent my first reconstruction surgery. Skin and cartilage was taken from my ear to reconstruct the interior of my nose. This helped me be able to breath again (50%) from my left nostril. It was the first of many surgeries and procedures that will occupy the better part of my life. To hear the words, from a well respected facial reconstruction surgeon, that I will be permanently disfigured- was a tough pill to swallow. Yes, I made the ultimate decision to under go the procedure. However, I was never warned of the risks. I had absolutely no idea what to look for. Had I been properly informed of ALL the risks; even if they are considered rare, perhaps I would had made a more INFORMED decision. I was never given a waiver to review or sign. I never was verbally told of the dangers. I'm letting you know the risks and dangers of what some consider a small "cosmetic" procedure. If you are going to go that route; please consider going to a board certified surgeon. Someone that is familiar with the product they are injecting in your body. And if there is a complication, they are knowledgeable to be able to help you before the damage becomes permanent. The sad part, the "med spa" that did this, never once offered to pay ANY of my medical bills. Never heard from them again after the last follow up in mid February. I guess they thought I would go away and they were above the law. But doctors take a Hippocratic Oath to uphold specific ethical standards. This was not the case at Aestedispa in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Shame on you Dr. Christy Cone. I hope you don't do this to another client and hide behind your fake smile.

When I had booked the massages I had mentioned that it was my birthday - they went above and beyond and brought me champagne, chocolates, and a warm neck wrap! It was lovely! Our massages were amazing. They really tailored the massage to what your body needed- spent extra time on knots, aromatherapy, hot towels, etc. I felt like this was worth the price. I'd love if they would have some blankets in the "waiting" lounge area because it can get cold.

The bed was heated, lights were dim, and overall the service was gentle & calming. I would've liked to have been given an explanation of each step that the service entailed -- for my own knowledge & because the extractions startled me and I wish I would've had a heads up. Overall I enjoyed it though, and would book again with a better idea of what to expect now. There was also an issue with them refunding my deposit so I could use the gift card I had. I was told I'd have to wait several days for a manager to refund me. I wound up purchasing something so it was a non-issue but I hope they can sort this out for the future so people who are gifted an experience don't have to deal with the back and forth of that.

I also have a background in massage therapy and work as a PT, so I'm extremely particular about who puts their hands on me. Connor is the first massage therapist I've seen in years who can consistently get me completely relaxed -- I've even fallen asleep during sessions, which never happens for me! When I called a few hours later to explain the circumstances, the response was dismissive. The justification offered -- that the charge was necessary to compensate the massage therapist for their time -- doesn't hold up mathematically: NOW Massage's Mt. Pleasant employees earn an average of $41-$45 per hour depending on experience, while the owners reportedly grossed between $130,000 and $200,000 last year. Am I compensating an employee or pool boy? lol In good faith, I proposed a reasonable compromise: a refund of half the charge. Instead, I was offered 50% off a future service, which sidesteps the actual issue -- that I should not have been charged the full $130 in the first place. Had the situation been handled with any consideration for the circumstances, a $65 charge would have more than covered the therapist's hourly rate and reflected basic fairness. This kind of experience is exactly why longtime residents of Mount Pleasant feel increasingly alienated by businesses that prioritize rigid policy over community and basic human decency -- treating loyal neighbors like transactions rather than people.
