I have been here a few times now. I started because of an ad I saw on the interstate for coolsculpting. Freeze your fat off. I looked it up and was intrigued by the idea. I found this spa that offers this service. I called them because they had a 50% off coolsculpting special for that month. Bri is the one who does the coolsculpting. She's the sweetest lady. She asked me where all I was concerned about. I told her I wanted my lower belly fat gone, and the fat under my butt to be less so my butt would stick out more. She said that the "banana roll" is what they call the under the butt fat, and mine is muscular. No need to coolsculpt there, she said. I did sign up for coolsculpting my lower belly fat tho. Best decision I've made this decade. My lower belly fat is significantly less fat looking than it used to be. I'm 200 pounds, but my belly looks like it did when I was 140 pounds. I highly recommend this service. While coolsculpting, I decided I wanted to talk to someone about my acne scars. Bri brought in Amanda, who recommended microneedling for my old acne scars. I'm here for my second round of microneedling today. It hurts a little, kind of similar to getting waxed in that it hurts for a little while but has great benefits that outweigh the pain. It feels like a deep exfoliation. She uses a pen looking thing to stab me a bunch of times with a bunch of little microneedles! She numbs my skin prior to the treatment. The hardest part is not wearing makeup for 2-3 days after microneedling. I have already seen a reduction in my wrinkles. I hope to see more of a reduction in my acne scars after this session. Amanda said sometimes it takes two sessions to see results. I paid for 3 up front. You get a deal by paying for your sessions all at once instead of one at a time. This place has a lovely atmosphere. The people here are so kind. I almost consider them friends. I love the results I've gotten so far. I highly recommend The Spa at West Ashley! read more

Came in for the Japanese head spa experience, left with a squeaky clean scalp and relaxed mood! I booked the appointment through Vagaro to which you pay a $50 deposit (it's applied towards the service price) and then they'll accept and confirm your time + date. Communication was great via text message and email. The check-in was quick and friendly plus if it's your first time there's a sheet or two of paperwork, depending on the service. The space is tastefully decorated and bright. I noticed to get to the office you climb a flight of stairs and another level depending on your service appointment. I meant to ask if they have elevators so when booking your appointment double check to see if it's accessible for your needs if applicable. For the head spa treatment I can't sing enough praises for Marina! She goes over the process plus uses a camera device to take a look at your scalp and hair follicles. It was super educational and fascinating to see the follicles, skin, sebum, and express what brings you in from trouble areas of breakage or hair loss. With the head massage comes oils, serums, shampoos, combs and acupressure to encourage blood circulation. There was a mini facial which included cleanser, steam, and an ice globe massage. I enjoyed feeling the tension melt away from the shoulder and hand massage. Overall the head spa treatment is an incredibly invigorating experience with the perk of maintaining hair health in a blissful manner. read more

I feel like the customer service from the people providing services could use a lot of improvement. I've come here a couple times for a hydra facial because it's close to my house, but I felt like both times the person was cold and rude, annoyed when I asked questions, and the service felt rushed. It's a spa... and I know a hydra facial isn't a massage, but it's just odd to come in for any facial at all and it be rushed in 20 minutes. read more

I was disappointed by my 2 recent hydrafacial experiences. I recently moved to Charleston and was excited to find a new spa for facials. I'd been used to a hydrafacial that lasts an hour, is a very relaxing, spa-like experience, includes a brief massage, etc. Unfortunately that's not what I experienced at the Spa at West Ashley. The environment is not very relaxing and the staff seems to rush through the treatment. They don't seem overly interested in retaining customers or building relationships. Perhaps my previous experience in another state was an exception and it set the bar too high, but I was expecting more. One more minor thing but it honestly bugged me. They have Pandora on in the room but it's Pandora with ads. For the price I'm paying for a facial, I don't expect an ad for fast food in the middle of the experience. I was visiting Charleston during vacation and was excited to enjoy a TLC via a hydrafacial. Although I enjoyed the staff, the environment and their hospitality , It was a very underwhelming service. If you've had a hydrafacial before this *may* not live up to your experiences and expectations: I typically get a hydra facial done every month & I've never had one that lasts less than an hour. Service felt rushed and lacked key components (at least what I am used to for this price) - thorough wash, hot towels, extractions (I get white & Black heads often), moisturizer and SPF to protect your skin afterwards. I was shocked that my service was shorter than my commute to the spa (20-25 mins). I would recommend a clearer description on website of services and a more thorough job and better service offerings for the price of $200 was not worth it in my humble opinion. read more

After three days of trying to get answers, 6 phone calls, and 2 emails, the phone was disconnected they did not call you back. I needed answers to my questions to know if this would be a good fit. The Spa at West Ashley is such a unique gem in West Ashley! I love that it offers Medical grade services you would get from a Doctor's office, without the stark and sterile feel! It is small and charming which has allowed me to build relationships with each of the providers and receive services from each that have combined to help me reach my skin care/beauty goals! I really have loved my experience there and I have seen a major difference in my skin, as well as loved the results from my CoolSculpting treatments! I really feel like the providers get as excited as I am when we see the before and afters and the difference sticking with and trusting the process can do! Botched and defrauded. Do not go here. You are setting yourself up for a major dissapointment. First off I went here in December for botox. It did not work. I should have know when the girl was looking in a book to see where to administer it. I called starting at a week out as I was told it could take up to two weeks to see the resaults. No calls back. That should have been an indicator as I had at the same time scheduled for cool sculpting for a consultation. After 4 weeks had gone by and I got a call for my cool sculpting appointment set up I was told to come back and talk to the lady about my botox. She just tried to sell me more and told me should would not fix anything that I should have called sooner. So then they refused to reschedule my cool sculpting and now I am out close to $1000 all said and done. What crooks I would not go here .!!!!!! read more

I recently received my first session of cool sculpting by Bri at The Spa at West Ashley. When I went in fo my consultation she set me up for realistic expectations on how obtainable the best results. Also, she explained the process and the mild discomfort to a tee. The best thing was there was nothing surprising or steps that were not explained. Once I went back in for my 30 day pictures and second session I was mind blown by the results! The experience with Bri was fun enjoyable and she took very good care of me every step of the way!
