Don't let her down-to-earth manner fool you; Lorraine is a total professional, a true artist, and a perfectionist when it comes to making her clients look good. (Bring photos of looks you like to your trial; like so many artists, she is very visual and photos clue her in to what look you are trying to achieve. ) She can do anything--from dramatic and bold to girl-next-door natural, and every look in between; and she will be honest about what she thinks will and will not look best on you. I can't quite find the words to rave about how lovely she made me, my ladies, and my mom look on the big day. We still looked like ourselves--but gorgeous. I was especially impressed with what she and her team achieved with my mom. It's hard enough to work with twenty-somethings with good skin; imagine what goes into achieving beautiful results on someone in her sixties who hasn't exactly had time to pamper herself while raising three kids on her own, and also hasn't worn makeup in over twenty years. My mom looked HOT--but as if she wasn't wearing makeup. Now, that is something awesome. :) We all got so many compliments, and my makeup lasted through a long, warm day and lots of sweating on the dance floor. Lorraine was also calm and centered in the midst of our wedding chaos. This included humoring my six-year old ring bearer, who had to chill with us ladies while we got pretty; and dealing with an obnoxious front desk person at the establishment where we were staying and getting ready. Her prices are extremely reasonable. So if you are getting wedding-ed in the NJ/Philadelphia area, I cannot recommend Simply Beautiful Makeup and Lorraine highly enough!

I had a couple trials done before but was very unhappy with the work the other salons did on me....I was paying these saloons high prices for something I could have done at home myself. The way my trial went with Lo was great, she LISTEN to what I wanted and asked for pictures of the look I am going for. She was into every detail, she is a true makeup artist. I originally wanted make up for just me, not expecting my girls to pay for theirs to be done....but once my girls saw the way my trial went with Lo they wanted theirs done too! So once again Lo was accommodating again and at last minute okayed some of my girls to get their makeup done the day of the wedding with me. She came to my house on the wedding day as well. She brings her husband to take photos of before during and after (he is also a professional photographer!) And this gives u an idea of what your going to look like on camera for your photos too! She was amazing and I would highly recommend her for any occasion you might need airbrush makeup done! Prior to the appointment, which she was able to schedule for me at the last minute, we discussed makeup looks and I sent her inspirational photos. Nikki is a true professional who cares about her clients. She observed safety protocols and her space is very inviting with positive affirmations, vibrant colors and upbeat music. As Nikki applied my makeup, she explained each step of the process - what product she was using and how it works with the skin. I don't wear makeup every day, so I was a little nervous about getting glammed up, but Nikki did a spectacular job, giving me a look that felt classy and timeless. Feeling good about yourself - with or without makeup - is a form of self-care. It was a treat to get pampered and bring out a playful, fun side of myself that hadn't emerged in a while. It's disappointing to know a Mother would put her child's health at further risk to travel 60 plus miles for a few dollars. So of course, we told her NO WAY were we going to allow her to bring her ill child and his Baby Sitter to our home, while "Nikki Jay" gave her child breathing treatments between doing my Wife's hair and makeup.  Nikki Jay even went as far to text message us what she indicated were "real time" photographs of her son in an ambulance with oxygen tubes hooked up to him. Nevertheless, Nikki Jay was still insistent on bringing her medically ill son in need of around the clock attention and his Baby Sitter to our home in just 14 hours later on OUR WWEDDING DAY. You just can't make this stuff up! Sorry, but there was nothing in the contract that even remotely indicated:  "BEWARE, IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO BRING AN ILL ADOLESCENT CHILD, A BABY SITTER AND MY CHILD MAY REQUIRE MEDICAL TREATMENTS, WHICH MAY CAUSE INTERMITTENT INTERRUPTIONS DURING THE HAIR STYLING AND MAKEUP ARTISTRY PROCESSS." Nikki J Artistry, LLC/Andrea Jones Breached the Contract. As Women/Brides to Be/Fiance's/Wives, I'm sure you can imagine how emotionally unsettling this was for my Wife to go through less than 16 hours before our Wedding. Seeing my wife like this was absolute torture to see her emotionally distressed, confused, pained, nervous, uncertain, saddened and nearly defeated that her Wedding Day was going to be ruined. So we Thank God for being able to secure a Mother/Daughter Hair Stylist & Makeup Duo Team before midnight on the eve of our wedding.  And As far as "Nikki J Makeup Artistry LLC/Andrea Jones" goes... Trifling is the only way to describe her. If I could give this woman less than ZERO Stars, I would.  Hire this girl at your own risk. We Got Receipts: Emails, text messages, various website/media messages, photographs, screenshots and a signed contract that Nikki Jay Artistry, LLC defaulted on, didn't honor, and did not live up to. Nikki Jay Artistry, LLC even threatened us with legal action for writing negative reviews about her when she's the one that has put herself in position to have legal action taken against her.
