The communication is terrible and they did not even explain to my wife the medication she was supposed to use, which resulted in her almost taking blood thinners long after she was supposed to stop. She had complications with retaining water and they won't explore other options, but merely drain her three times a week. Texas is a large state with very qualified professionals, just go elsewhere, you will be thankful you did. This place was an awful experience and I would never recommend it.

To give some context I've only ever had C sections before this, so going into a completely elective surgery was honestly terrifying for me. But every single time I walked into their office, I immediately felt at ease. Dr. Vennemeyer is incredibly professional, supportive, and reassuring, and his staff are some of the warmest, most comforting people I've ever met. Even though I live out of state and had to travel for my procedure, the entire process was seamless. Their team was so accommodating with my schedule, and they truly went above and beyond leading up to surgery. They made sure I completed all of my pre-op testing on time and even reached out to other doctors on my behalf to ensure my results came in before my procedure. That level of care meant everything to me. Dr. Vennemeyer also provided extensive pre-op education over a hundred pages of information plus videos which answered every question I had (and even ones I didn't think to ask). It made me feel so prepared and confident going into surgery. The day of surgery was honestly such a calm and positive experience. I told my husband it felt more like I was walking into a spa than a surgical center. The entire team was so kind, gentle, and attentive. I thought I would be terrified walking into the operating room, but instead, I felt completely taken care of. I remember them making sure I was comfortable and cozy in the bed... and then I woke up. I came here…read morebecause I knew some people who had their surgery done with him and everything went well, and also because on his Instagram the patients' photos looked good--so I trusted him without knowing it would be one of the worst decisions. Not only did he leave me with one breast smaller than the other (yes, I know it's natural for one breast to be slightly smaller, but if you undergo breast surgery it's supposed to make them look even and actually show the results), but in my case one breast was left noticeably smaller. The only way it even looks like I had surgery is if I wear a push-up bra. It's sad because I never said I wanted to look "natural" or like I didn't have surgery. The day of the surgery, they gave me a bra that was way too small, which left marks, hurt a lot, and was very uncomfortable. On top of that, they sutured the left breast with very few stitches, which left me with a deep open wound for more than 4 months. They didn't care about it and only tried to charge me more money for a "vacuum cleaner" treatment they claimed would close the wound "quickly." It cost around $500-$600, plus $50-$60 each time I went to change the dressing. When I told them I didn't have the money, their only solution was to tell me to go to a wound care center if I had insurance. You might ask, why wait a year to write this? Well, because their response was always: "Every body is different and you have to wait at least a year to see results." So I waited a year, and believe me, every single day I regret it and it makes me sad that I have to wear a bra for it to even look like I had surgery, and that one of my breasts is smaller than the other. When I brought this up, they told me they could "fix" my breasts and that I only had to pay $7,435 because there was a "VIP discount" of -$750 (I don't even know what kind of discount that is). Obviously, I didn't say anything else, because what experienced surgeon leaves you with one smaller breast, poorly sutures you, gives you a bra that injures you, and then wants to charge you more money? (By the way, I had already paid for two surgical bras. When I told them the first one they gave me was too small, they only exchanged one and I ended up losing the money for the first bra.) Also keep in mind, seeing the doctor is a whole process. After the surgery, I had to go three separate times just to be able to see him. He has a lot of positive reviews, but not everything is as perfect as it looks! Supposedly, they put in 485cc implants, but it doesn't look like it. My right breast is quite saggy and they don't even look like silicone implants. Honestly, without a bra they don't look operated at all, there's no shape or definition. They only gave me the implant card days later, and that was because I specifically asked for it. This was my experience, and it was not good at all. I wish good luck to those who want to take the risk of having surgery here.

Our case is a very small cyst that has to be removed from my son's head, and he could just as easily moved on to bigger cases. I am extremely impressed that he would take the time to call us and actually cares about what happens to my son. Original Review: If I could give this office less than one star I would. We had a consultation to remove a small cyst from my sons forehead on December 1st 2014 at his Southlake location. I was told that they would get back with me within a couple of weeks once benefits had been verified. I gave them over a month and when I still had not heard back I called and was told that someone would get back with me. Almost two weeks later still nothing. Called last Thursday and was told by the office manager that the person I needed to speak with was on the phone and that she would get back to me within the hour. 5 days later, I called again to be put on hold for almost 10 minutes only to be told that we have not met any of our deductible. I do medical billing and am well aware that we are over halfway to our deductible. I thought that after waiting this long at least the information would be correct. I was looking at my benefits page as I was speaking with her. Absolutely deplorable professionalism. Not even an apology. I guess that since we were not there for high end cosmetic surgery, we did not qualify for professional, courteous or even accurate service.

I am trying to find a plastic surgeon for breast reconstruction following breast cancer surgery. I shared my intent and desire to see the doctor. I could tell from the beginning that this was a person who loves saying no. She was rude, condescending and had prejudged that I shouldn't see the doctor. She first tried to tell me to see the surgeon suggested by my oncologist surgeon. I told her I didn't care for his manner or plan for reconstruction and wanted to see Dr. Heistein. At one point well into the convo, she says, "I just don't know what it is you want." I want reconstruction on my breast on which I had surgery for breast cancer. She proceeded, without having even seen me, said that some breasts are just not candidates for reconstruction. Some breasts are mangled and have a big ball of scar tissue and just aren't fixable. She ( a receptionist, not a doctor) said that to me with absolutely no knowledge of my situation. She eventually told me that they take Medicare but not Medicare advantage and so can't help me. I said well, you take Medicare and she told me I would be paying a huge amount out of pocket. Still, she'd never seen me, hadn't precertified me or anything else. It was a horrible experience and I suppose I should be glad not to deal with this person ever again. Dr. Heistein should know how horrible this person is. If he knows and he's ignoring the issue, shame on him. If he doesn't know, someone should tell him how awful she is.

My scars are smaller than what they were initially, and it's a better job than what I had the first time with my prior surgeon. HOWEVER, if by any chance I can prevent another woman from making the same mistake that I did by choosing this Dr, I will write a review for the sole purpose of that. I whole heartedly believe the day of my appointment I was just another body on his operating table with nothing but a quick, meaningless $ sign taped on me. Maybe I was the unlucky one and many others have had amazing experiences with beautiful results, who knows. August 31st of last year was the day of my surgery. I followed up with Dr V almost a year later August 14th 2019 concerning my results and how my breasts have settled. From what I've been told, it takes about 6 months to a year for implants to fully settle in their forever position so before over reacting I waited almost a full year to express my concerns, if by that point I had any. This is the best way I can explain my results: I have a left breast that completely DENTS inward when my pec muscle is barely flexed. Even if I gently lean down on my arm it dents inward on the entire side of my breast and you can see a flat pocket that seperates from where the implant actually is. It is awkwardly shaped and embarrasing. Overall, both of my breasts are far apart and oddly cone shaped. When I lay down it's almost as if I'm still completely flat chested and the implants travel towards my armpits. I was told this is to due with my anatomy and how my body/chest structure is. Why wasn't I explained all of this on my consultation? I'm not an expert but I know the results I have gotten are not because of my body composition. There are flat chested transgender men who get breast implants and their results look a million times better than mine. As stated before, I believe the morning of my appointment (arrived at 4 am) I was probably just another body and $ sign. Overall I believe my surgery was rushed and time and attention was NOT spent on me as it should have been. Besides the indentation on my breast, I have awful scars which I was also given a strange reason for that I can't recall. However Dr Vennemeyer admitted that my scars are larger than normal and stated that I would have to have a 'scar revision' surgery to fix them, or at least make them smaller. His solution for the dent in my breast was to possibly have a fat grafting procedure to fill in the space and add volume where the implants seperates OR remove the implants and place them over the muscle rather than under the muscle OR remove the implants and insert smaller implants. Either option I choose, he advised that it still wouldn't really help the fact that my implants would still be far apart because of my body composition. Basically any suggestion he had came with a BUT... after it. I can't recapture everything word for word because I was in tears by the end of the visit but I got the jist of what he was trying to say and that was that not only is there nothing he can do, there's nothing that he would WANT to do to resolve my concerns. If you have the same experience and get poor results PLEASE be prepared because he WILL somehow, someway, blame it on you and pull out his book of medical terms to confuse you and baffle you when you know deep down what he's saying isn't right. I hope & pray no other woman has to experience this when the only reason they decide to do these sort of things is to feel more beautiful and confident in themselves.
