It took me 45 minutes to get here only to be locked out with no way of contacting anyone inside, waiting around for over half an hour outside, and then another 45 minutes heading back home. Meanwhile, I continue to endure painful and costly laser treatments, hoping for even slight improvement--and this experience is still part of my daily life. In response to earlier (now deleted) comments from the practice, claimping they didn't recognize me as a patient, I've attached a document provided by my surgeon, Dr. Mark Mason at Southlake Plastic Surgery Center. The practice is fully aware of the harm caused by the procedure, yet I never received the promised refund, despite multiple requests to help offset my ongoing treatment costs. While this may be "in the past" for them, I live with the consequences every day. I wish I had spoken up sooner; perhaps it could have helped others avoid a similar fate. The photo in a swimsuit was taken three weeks prior to my surgery at this practice. The surgery left me with severe skin discoloration across my entire abdomen and section over six inches tall and wide of puckering, which now prevents me from wearing a swimsuit. While the office is now attempting to frame my outcome as a normal healing process and unavoidable complication, my actual experience over the last several months tells a very different story. Following surgery, I experienced significant wound healing complications that required a wound vac, debridement surgery costing me over $1,000 out of pocket, antibiotics, Santyl, mupirocin, ongoing wound dressings/supplies, drainage issues, and prolonged healing complications beginning as early as December. At the same time, I repeatedly communicated concerns regarding increasing hardness, high-riding implants, asymmetry, discomfort, abnormal appearance, and progressive tightness. I sent numerous photos and messages over the course of months expressing that things did not feel or look right. Most of these concerns were repeatedly attributed to "drop and fluff," swelling, settling, massage, or needing more time to heal. Now that revision surgery is being recommended by other surgeons, it is extremely frustrating to look back at months of documented concerns that were continually minimized as normal healing. It is also frustrating to now receive lengthy explanations defending the management of my care rather than acknowledgment that perhaps more aggressive evaluation or intervention should have occurred earlier. The office has stated they offered in-person evaluations, but much of my follow-up care was intentionally managed virtually through photos and messaging, which I relied on heavily because I trusted their guidance. At no point was I made to feel the severity of my concerns warranted urgent intervention until things had progressed significantly. What has been most disappointing is not just the complications themselves, because complications can happen with any surgery, but the feeling of repeatedly advocating for myself while being reassured everything was normal despite worsening symptoms and mounting additional expenses. Between the wound vac, debridement, medications, wound care, time off work, emotional stress, and now revision surgery costs, this experience has been physically, emotionally, and financially exhausting. Our case is a very small cyst that has to be removed from my son's head, and he could just as easily moved on to bigger cases. I am extremely impressed that he would take the time to call us and actually cares about what happens to my son. Original Review: If I could give this office less than one star I would. We had a consultation to remove a small cyst from my sons forehead on December 1st 2014 at his Southlake location. I was told that they would get back with me within a couple of weeks once benefits had been verified. I gave them over a month and when I still had not heard back I called and was told that someone would get back with me. Almost two weeks later still nothing. Called last Thursday and was told by the office manager that the person I needed to speak with was on the phone and that she would get back to me within the hour. 5 days later, I called again to be put on hold for almost 10 minutes only to be told that we have not met any of our deductible. I do medical billing and am well aware that we are over halfway to our deductible. I thought that after waiting this long at least the information would be correct. I was looking at my benefits page as I was speaking with her. Absolutely deplorable professionalism. Not even an apology. I guess that since we were not there for high end cosmetic surgery, we did not qualify for professional, courteous or even accurate service.

HOWEVER, if by any chance I can prevent another woman from making the same mistake that I did by choosing this Dr, I will write a review for the sole purpose of that. I whole heartedly believe the day of my appointment I was just another body on his operating table with nothing but a quick, meaningless $ sign taped on me. Maybe I was the unlucky one and many others have had amazing experiences with beautiful results, who knows. August 31st of last year was the day of my surgery. I followed up with Dr V almost a year later August 14th 2019 concerning my results and how my breasts have settled. From what I've been told, it takes about 6 months to a year for implants to fully settle in their forever position so before over reacting I waited almost a full year to express my concerns, if by that point I had any. This is the best way I can explain my results: I have a left breast that completely DENTS inward when my pec muscle is barely flexed. Even if I gently lean down on my arm it dents inward on the entire side of my breast and you can see a flat pocket that seperates from where the implant actually is. It is awkwardly shaped and embarrasing. Overall, both of my breasts are far apart and oddly cone shaped. When I lay down it's almost as if I'm still completely flat chested and the implants travel towards my armpits. I was told this is to due with my anatomy and how my body/chest structure is. Why wasn't I explained all of this on my consultation? I'm not an expert but I know the results I have gotten are not because of my body composition. There are flat chested transgender men who get breast implants and their results look a million times better than mine. As stated before, I believe the morning of my appointment (arrived at 4 am) I was probably just another body and $ sign. Overall I believe my surgery was rushed and time and attention was NOT spent on me as it should have been. Besides the indentation on my breast, I have awful scars which I was also given a strange reason for that I can't recall. However Dr Vennemeyer admitted that my scars are larger than normal and stated that I would have to have a 'scar revision' surgery to fix them, or at least make them smaller. His solution for the dent in my breast was to possibly have a fat grafting procedure to fill in the space and add volume where the implants seperates OR remove the implants and place them over the muscle rather than under the muscle OR remove the implants and insert smaller implants. Either option I choose, he advised that it still wouldn't really help the fact that my implants would still be far apart because of my body composition. Basically any suggestion he had came with a BUT... after it. I can't recapture everything word for word because I was in tears by the end of the visit but I got the jist of what he was trying to say and that was that not only is there nothing he can do, there's nothing that he would WANT to do to resolve my concerns. If you have the same experience and get poor results PLEASE be prepared because he WILL somehow, someway, blame it on you and pull out his book of medical terms to confuse you and baffle you when you know deep down what he's saying isn't right. I hope & pray no other woman has to experience this when the only reason they decide to do these sort of things is to feel more beautiful and confident in themselves.
