All I saw walking up was "Barber Shop" and I needed a haircut, completely missed the shop is called "Fade City". All black inside cut hair all over floor, seems they blow all hair to center of shop and then periodically sweep it up. I could not understand the guy and had to have him repeat everything he asked about. Hip hop music playing in background and references like "hustler all over. I wanted to support local businesses as I normally go to places like Sports Clips.and because I was a bit taken back by being charged $31 for just a plain old haircut, this place charges $40 for "walk-ins". I only had 3 $20 and the guy did not even ask me if I wanted change. I get to my car a notice he folded my collar down and never turned back right. Absolute shit show. If you care about your hair, or have ever did your own to the degree where you know the specifics of what you want do NOT come here. I do my own beard and hair for over a decade but being away from home I felt like trying a fade. The huge lady barber who I had to succumb to when I was waiting for the other barber was a complete wreck. Didn't know how to hold a trimmer to begin with, or her guard measurements. Found this spot with a simple "barbershop" yelp search looking for a more convenient location to where we live. Was hesitant based on a few 1 star reviews but came across 1 good one recommending Jonathan. Found out he use to cut at the location I use to take my son and that made me feel at ease knowing my son would be in good hands. Messaged him and was able to easily book an appt for the next day online. He was on time, professional, took his time with the cut, I thought the cut was worth the price. The place was clean. It's a little hole in the wall shop in Casa de Oro Spring Valley and if you're willing to make the trip I'd recommend giving it a chance. Ask for Jonathan!! We booked two appointments with Luisa Galvan through Booksy.com. We arrived and waited 10mins before we decided to leave. About 15 mins after our appointment she texts me to say she doesn't really use booksy anymore and wasn't aware she had appointments. She offers a free haircut and apologized. By this point we had already booked appointments with Inglorious Blacktree Barbería and we're headed that way. Don't believe the info posted about this place. But from my vehicle I had clear view of the shop and you were in the middle of cutting someones hair. Also, whether if this was a technical issue/miscommunication error on your behalf - it is just not professional to bring your personal issues into the mix. There was two barbers one took my younger son my other son waited about half hour cuz the barber said they were busy but the one coming in could cut his hair when walks in he asked what type of cut he wanted but then walked away and started on another guy!? Then takes another without explaining anything? Finally another barber tells him they are busy and he'd have to wait till 2(it was 10am) why not say that in the first place so he's not stuck waiting? This place is absolutely amazing and the vibe is sick. Ben was my barber and he did an amazing job. I got a a fade with him and I'm not joking when I say this, it was the best cut I have ever got.
