Another great haircut as always.. Interesting interaction this morning as I was receiving my haircut. I'm only mentioning this because it created an uncomfortable experience for myself and the owner, co-workers present and even that specific customers friend who brought them in as first timers. They were in a rush... I get it. But I remind myself my emergency isn't someone else's and if they are helping I'm grateful, period! The young fellow, 25yrs of age proceeded just speak with a high time of anger and yet still portray thankful words in his 'lingo'. I say lingo because he's a wrap artist. Ok cool you're an artist... but you then say you're a Christian wrap artist? I could tell the mood dropped immediately to a quiet atmosphere to not argue his nonsensical views and ignorance. I'm embarrassed I ever engaged in the conversation. Lessons learned: I apologize for accidentally fostering such a conversation If I'm in a rush remain grateful the business is open and helping you regardless. Absolutely beyond happy with our cuts! Been going to a franchise shop for a while but wanted to try a barbershop and find someone we can be loyal to. Called in and made appointments. While we stopped off to get cash the anxiety started to kick in. Always nervous about getting haircuts from new stylist. The two guys (Alex and Michael) were amazing. Both gave us the exact cuts we wanted. They offered us beer or water. We got an eyebrow trim. Neck shaves as well. We never got a price but when we were done.. only $25! Because i typically walk in without an appointment im willing to wait and accept and respect the fact that other customers with or without an appointment have priority. My schedule isn't flexible so i can, and will, wait if needed or come back if its a couple hours if needed. Yesterday, on Cinco De Mayo 2022 was my first time taking my son out to the barbershop with me and I didn't really know how it would go and was even a little iffy about trying it out, but I went for it anyway. Upon entrance: There were family friendly videos playing on the television and some dessert snacks for all to enjoy! My barber who's name I didn't catch, (first chair on the left) came over to me and my son as we sat and waited. He greeted my son and my son smiled. He then proceeded to speak about his family. A kind gesture indeed. During Haircut: To begin, my son Sir was calm and curious, enjoying the sounds of the buzzing of the clippers. Eventually Sir got a little antsy. The entire staff were extremely considerate and patient with us, and despite the movement and commotion delivered a stellar haircut! My barber took his time, and allowed for me to head to the rest room to get adjusted. Another barber who was extremely personable name Ray went and grabbed a water for my son at some point. My barber even offered to walk around with my son and get him some fresh air as we finished up the final process of getting my nose waxed, since I had to stay still and wait for the wax to dry. Got one of the best haircuts I've ever had. Friendly staff. Free beverages. Got exactly the haircut I wanted. Rey was an awesome barber and was able to help me get the look I wanted.
