Dude didn't even give me the haircut I asked for, shaved my mustache without asking, and then they did something to get my last review taken off because I come on here and it's just gone. Sick of it. So basically I never shave my beard off like never and would never have a barber do it either but I chose this place because I liked the atmosphere but the one dude that doesn't speak English cutting hair used a dirty razor on my beard which I had super smooth skin under but after this cut I had got so many pimples and ingrown hairs it was so nasty I had to get treated by a dermatologist. read more

I like my cut. Service was quick and transactional. My barber was a cool guy. 45$ for a fade. There was a little language barrier but I just wanted a fade from the fade kings so no problem there. Trouble came when I tried to leave. Arab fella was visibly agitated when I said I wanted to leave a review in my own time. Man was scarily persistent trying to get me to leave a five star on google maps. He said something along the lines of "5 star or don't review." I was going to give a four star but this man needs to get his act together. This is not how a paying customer should be treated. This place has a 3.5 rating here but 4.6 on google maps. Normally I have a family member cut my hair but they were out of town so after looking at multiple shops I came across fade kings. I'm very happy I did. The staff is friendly & talented. Hair cut came out better than I was hoping for and reasonably priced. There were a couple people in front of me but I didn't have to wait very long. I have been looking for a barber shop that will fit my needs and provide quality haircuts. I am a person that is very conscious of my hair and if the service/ quality is good then I am willing to travel and pay a premium price for it. I was visiting the Everett Mall and decided to Yelp/Google for a barbershop. After reviewing several shops I finally came across Fade Kings Barbershop. I went through their reviews and photos to see what their service quality is like. Then I came across a video of one of their stylist giving a nice fade to one of their customers. I decided to book an appointment via google which was super easy and show up to the location. +2 Stars: The location was clean and the stylist was professional. +2 Stars: The stylist listened to what I wanted and did exactly as I requested. -1 Star: I had to request the stylist for a head bath prior to cutting my hair rather than them suggesting it. My hair was very oily and the stylist failed to recognize that. From my observation, it looks like they normally don't provide head baths, but they do have the head bath station. It is recommended that you either wash your head before you go or request a head bath prior to your haircut. (They might have stopped providing head baths during COVID time and forgot to start that service back up post COVID). (Plus 1 Star assuming it was safety related). I hope they start recommending and providing head baths again. I will go again in a few weeks and provide another review to see if they update their service. Overall, the hair cut was amazing! It was one of the best haircuts I have had here in Washington state. I would definitely recommend this place for all individuals that are looking for great service and a quality hair cut! I walked in without an appointment and granted, it had been a long time since my last haircut, so there was a lot of work to do. It took about 30 mins and my hair was cut without a conversation, which is fine. I am quite happy how it turned out until I got to the register. I was charged $47 before tip. If I had any idea it was going to be that much, I would have just gone to Supercuts and gotten a little less quality haircut for half the price. No prices posted on the walls for services and my receipt was texted to me without a breakdown of services or charges, just Haircut - $47.00. Make sure to get an idea of what you're being charged before getting started, I kinda feel like I got fleeced. If you have a beard, this is the best barber shop you can go to. They really know how to properly shape and line-up facial hair. Their straight-razor work is next to none. I have them shave my head for me as well and it's a great experience. Most men with good-looking beards require some lining-up to remove sparseness at the edges, as well as straightening to enable cutting to the right length for the "wedge". This makes the beard appear fuller and thicker. The guys here know exactly what to do. read more

This place is sketchy as hell! This was my first time coming here. Walked in and sat down while the owner Hayder was cutting another client's hair. Another younger barber was just sitting around doing nothing while I was waiting for 20 minutes. Another customer walked in and got seated right away, who I assume had an appointment. During those 20 minutes, the younger barber could have been cutting my hair. It got worse as Hayder finally told an older gentlemen, who looked to be new or learning the job to give me a haircut. He did not seem to know what he was doing and Hayder even had to come over and help with my lineup and fade. To make things even more sketchy, I asked whether the older gentlemen was in training and Hayder said he was the one that taught him how to be a barber...yeah right! When I got home, I noticed a lot of stray hairs and uneven patches. This was one of the worst haircuts ever. They didn't take card as their website and door signs state, and they charged $20 compared to $16 stated on their website....I guess name your price and have untrained barbers cut the new customer's hair, huh? Totally unprofessional. To top it all off, right as I'm about to leave, Hayder tells me to go on Google and takes my phone and then proceeds to give his business a 5 star review right on the spot! No wonder they have high reviews on Google and Yelp! It's all forced on the customer or self-reviews! If I would have gotten my cut from Hayder, I'm thinking it would have been a much better cut and a better experience. Unfortunately, I did not get that chance and they lost their shot at a regular customer. The Barber Hussien needs to learn about how important is customer service disregard if he is good or number one in Washington or whatever. Being number one is not about how good you are in cutting hair, if you want to be number one you need to respect your customer time and deliver your promises. I went to Hussain last week and he did a very good job and I asked him for an appointment for Friday because Saturday is my birthday and I want to look fresh, he over promised me that he will take care of me and he asked me to call him Thursday, I did call him Thursday he asked me again to call him Friday noon, I did call him he texted me saying can I call you later , I responded sure please let me know at what time I can come, he ghosted me and never answered his phone. Gave this spot 3 visits. First time was good, although a bit rough but it ended up looking ok. Second visit. My barber seemed like he was in a rush to get as many customers in as he could and cutting my nose with the straight razor in the process. Now, I understand that when shaving, cuts happen to the most careful of us. But when it's because you're rushing to get more turn around, don't even apologize and still charge me 35 bucks, I start to wonder if you're aware of the basics of repeat customers and costumer retention. The kicker, beard trim wasn't even symmetrical. Why, you may ask? Because he was already 3 costumers ahead of me in his mind and didn't even check the "quality" of his work. Third time I didn't even get a haircut. Kept being told I was next when it seemed this dude was just attending his friends and relatives, basically anyone that wasn't me. After an hour and half of waiting and when I finally thought it was my turn, the barber told me some other dude was next. Now, I don't mind waiting if I'm being told upfront, but don't dick me around and keep me waiting without letting me in on the secret that I will indeed wait forever. Just to make it clear, when I was told I was next, FOUR people somehow kept getting cut before me. At the fifth "you're next" I just bounced. If I didn't leave I would probably be on the 11th "you're next" by now. Sounds like a sequel to a horrible horror movie, which it was, only on this movie, you don't get cut, but you're definitely next. Fuck these guys, my money is better spent elsewhere. The fade was good, as expected, and I got more or less what I asked for, though it was nigh impossible to do anything but sit and hope for the best as I was faced away from any mirrors. Hairline in the front is ever so crooked, enough to be bothersome. But maybe I'm just nitpicking there. Service was quick and reasonable. I was a bit uncomfortable at times just due to who I assume to be the owner and his employees(?) talking to each other in a language I don't understand. Not to be the person to say you must speak English in America or anything of that sort, but I have to admit I felt a bit out of place here. I would rate my overall experience a 4/5. It wasn't the greatest barbershop experience of my life by any far stretch, but for what it is it does its job. For the right person, this is the right place to go. Hayder I think is his name did an absolute hack job. I asked to keep my beard long and he shaved the whole thing short. Got literally showered with water at one point. One of the most crooked haircuts ive had in a long time. Missed a spot completely that I didnt notice as it was styled a certain way. Hate to say it but It was a really bad haircut.
