Notably, this was my first visit to a location since before COVID, and as a power wheelchair user. My experience at the Spokane Valley site was excellent. I had to wait a little for my haircut, but it was worth it. The salon was busy due to Spring break, with many dads and kids getting their haircuts. My stylist, Alexiah, did a fantastic job. We chatted and laughed throughout the process. She grasped what I wanted for my haircut and was very accommodating with my power wheelchair. Maneuvering to align with the sink for the wash posed a challenge, but after about a dozen attempts, I finally got it just right.      As always, I opted for the triple MVP package, which is definitely worth the cost. You may wonder, 'What exactly is a "Triple MVP?"' That's a great question. This package consists of a haircut, hair wash, and two hot towels placed over your face during the wash. Additionally, the stylist provides a head massage while washing your hair. According to the Sport Clips website, the hot towels are enhanced with eucalyptus, lavender, and chamomile.  I plan to return to the Spokane Valley Sport Clips location, where I will request Alexiah as my stylist and choose the Triple MVP Package. I refer to the Triple MVP Package as 'Matt's Spa Time."

Quite possibly one of the best haircuts I've ever had…read more Alyssa was my stylist and really knocked it out of the park. She did a major touchdown on my hair. This haircut was a grandslam. The customer service was like pulling the goalie for a power play and doing a hat trick. I've had some haircuts at other places that were out of bounds, like my hair was being offensively fouled. Some stylists act like it's the bottom of the 9th and they're down already like 10 runs and have no one on base so why even try? Not Alyssa. Alyssa was calm and collected and calculated. My hair was getting quite shaggy and was a lot of stress to deal with, I'm sure. But Alyssa stayed focused, just like someone landing a half court 3 point game winning shot at the buzzard. It was incredible. Alyssa trimmed my eye brows, my beard and, of course, my hair. She took her time making sure seemingly every hair was adequately addressed and proportional. Even as customers came in, filling up the waiting list roster, Alyssa stayed focused on my hair and didn't rush me,, understanding my hair was in front of her and she wasn't going to let it go until it was absolutely perfect. This was seriously an insanely good haircut. Alyssa should be renegotiating her contract for a raise. She is an incredibly gifted asset to this establishment. Next time you are drafting a hairstylist, choose Alyssa. She goes above and beyond. TLDR ; sports clips is a sports themed haircut establishment. I don't follow most sports so that's not important to me, but you can watch your sports here if so inclined to do so while getting a hair cut. Haircuts are around $25. Alyssa is the stylist you want. Go ask for Alyssa. On second thought, don't so she can always be available only to cut my hair.

Our appointment was at 0900 and we walked through the door at 0910. There were three stylists sitting around and one man in a chair getting his hair cut. Yes we were a bit late but, I have a one year old. The short-haired woman at the front desk, I believe her name was Johnah, told us we were more than 10 minutes late and would have to reschedule. I looked at my phone and it said 0911. I was so shocked at her attitude I had no idea what to say. The place was EMPTY and people were sitting around but she said we have people lined up back to back. You couldn't cut a 1 year old's hair in a couple minutes? I left but then called and asked who the owner/manager was and the same person was evasive, ultimately admitting she was the one that told us to reschedule because we're one minute past the cutoff and that the owner's information was online, which it wasn't. When I asked her for her name, she hung up. I called back literally 2 seconds later and another stylist picked up named Tara. I asked if she was the one I was just speaking to and she said no. I asked for the other's name and she said she wasn't sure because she was in the back. A blatant lie. This was supposed to be my sons first haircut and they ruined that experience with their poor attitude and customer service. WHO TURNS AWAY A ONE YEAR OLD FOR THEIR FIRST HAIRCUT BECAUSE THEY ARE ONE MINUTE PAST THE 10 MINUTE CUTOFF? My sister is a hair stylist and she would never do that. It's bad business. Mike was at Tom's for years, then he bought that business, then he moved to a new location. Anyway, I go the best haircut in years after trying many in the Spokane and Spokane Valley area. My kid is NOT a fan of haircuts, but David took to it like a champ. This time was better, after my kid ran out of tears and snot, we convinced him it 'wasn't that bad' to have a haircut. David is sooooo patient and understanding. He's a good ol' boy playing rock music and loving his neighbors. Holy cow it's like a giant family, all of the customers he has. He knows everyone by name, they all love him. Here's what I loved as a mom: this is a family friendly place. You won't find posters of half naked women anywhere, just good ol Americana and a cat or dog depending on the day. He has nice hot towels when you're done. It's a hole in the wall place, not anything fancy at all. No appointments, but he'll put your name on 'the list' and you can show up when you need to. We love this place.
