I arrived an hour early for my cut. I asked where the closest atm was. I went down and withdrew the funds and came back 15mins before my appointment. I was called to get my cut on time, but I asked to use the bathroom to pee before sitting down. Whilst in the bathroom, I heard the barber converse with the next client, who arrived significantly after me. The client stated that he thought he had a 1pm appointment, but actually had a 1:30pm appointment and was in a hurry because he had a doctor's appointment. When I came out of the bathroom, the barber was beginning to cut the next guy's hair. I was in the bathroom for about 2mins. Absolutely amateur hour scheduling practices! I was told that I'd have to wait, or reschedule. Totally unacceptable. I was there first, and spent my whole day planning around this. Cuts look good, but their scheduling practices are gonna put them out of business. What a total waste of time

My kid is NOT a fan of haircuts, but David took to it like a champ. This time was better, after my kid ran out of tears and snot, we convinced him it 'wasn't that bad' to have a haircut. David is sooooo patient and understanding. He's a good ol' boy playing rock music and loving his neighbors. Holy cow it's like a giant family, all of the customers he has. He knows everyone by name, they all love him. Here's what I loved as a mom: this is a family friendly place. You won't find posters of half naked women anywhere, just good ol Americana and a cat or dog depending on the day. He has nice hot towels when you're done. It's a hole in the wall place, not anything fancy at all. No appointments, but he'll put your name on 'the list' and you can show up when you need to. We love this place.

Mike was at Tom's for years, then he bought that business, then he moved to a new location. Anyway, I go the best haircut in years after trying many in the Spokane and Spokane Valley area.
