I'd had Benny DaCorsa recommended to me by several friends, so today was the day! The place is small inside, but it has ample parking. There are 2 larger tables inside, along with a bar that wraps around the perimeter with seating, but if the weather is nice, take your slice outside to the picnic tables. Also, they don't have fountain drinks (which to me are gross anyway), but their cooler is stocked with tons of flavors you don't see every day. I grabbed the strawberry lemonade, and it was yummy! Our slices were so big, we had to have 2 plates to carry them out on. I got pepperoni and mushrooms, which was delicious. I also got extra marinara sauce for dipping my crust into. This is served cold, but is very flavorful. One slice was more than enough for me, but my daughter's boyfriend ate 2. Honestly, if it is your first time there, start with 1 slice, they are larger than you think! You can also buy whole pies, for which I thought the price was insane when I looked at it online. I saw 2 ladies pick up 3 of them (party?), and I can only imagine what a conversation piece those made! If you are in Concord, stop by. Pizza is great, and the service is fast and friendly. 5 stars, easily!

Definitely off the beaten path but easily found The Getaway had some outdoor seating but it was a little chilly.A rustic type building has a bar on the left side and tables on the right with pool tables in the rear that had several folks playing. Our waitress was nice informing us on what was good on their menu since it was our first time.My wife chose a 1/4 lb cheese burger with a side of hot chips. Our son got the 8 oz cheese burger also with hot chips. His girlfriend got their 1/4 lb all beef hotdog.I wanted wings. All of The Getaways wings sauces are in-house made.At another table they got a 30 inch pizza which was definitely the biggest I had seen.A pizza that size is 47.00.Our food came out hot and fresh. My wings were meaty and their medium sauce was just enough heat.My wife enjoyed her burger but loved the hot chips.Probably the best any of us had had.Our son said his 8oz cheese burger was the best he had eaten in a while. We liked the hot chips so much we got another order of them.I ask the group on their way by if they finished off that 30 inch pizza. They all laughed saying that several in their group where at the local college and it was going back with them.Service was good and food was good.

Pizza crust has great flavor, sauce is good- doesn't give you heartburn, cheese is there- if I had a complaint pizza could use a little more cheese. After bringing the pizza home, it got a little soggy- but that's how I personally like it. I'm sure if ate fresh it would pass the hold up test. Also got the zeppolis, not bad- but not the best either- you can tell it's just pizza dough fried and tossed in powered sugar, it ends up being very chewy, but hey I still ate it, next time I wanna try the cannolis .

My wife and I ordered the same type of slice mine without honey on it. We said we're were eating there. They put my wife's slice and mine together in the same box and poured honey all over hers. Of course since our slices were together it seeped all over mine. When we told the girl she said nothing. My wife said but my husband can't eat dinner and she didn't care. We will never go again and I'm going to tell everyone I know the disrespect and not correcting their mistake. We said we were eating in and if they served us on individual plates like we saw others get there wouldn't have been this problem. So disgusted

We decided on the their appetizer sampler just to get a feel for their food, and it wasn't a great feel. The wings were burnt, Maybe that's their "style" but it didn't work. They were so dry. The shrooms had too much breading and were also overcooked, thought at least not burnt. The mozzarella sticks were actually decent. The pretzels was good, but some awful beer cheese. I had two of their IPA's and I did enjoy those. Unfortunately not someplace I'd go back to unless someone assured me it was better

Indeed, if the cold North runs through you veins, you'll find house beer and mead aplenty to wet your whistle in an atmosphere that while housed in a modern shopping center, is still somehow appropos. Unfortunately, I had driving to do, so alcohol wasn't in the cards, but the menu appealed to us. We needed some comfort food, so we ended up with an appetizer sampler that included a baked pretzel, jalapeno poppers (instead of the fried ravioli that I guess they were out of), buffalo wings, and mozz sticks. We also got a pizza from the current specials, the spicy hawaiin. We like pineapple on pizza, and definitely prefer pepperoni to ham, and this also included jalapenos... so it sounded right up our alley. FYI, there are no waiters, you simply order at the bar, and they give you a numbered buzzer to pick up your food when ready. I greatly prefer this way of doing things honestly. For the food, honestly... a mixed bag, hence the one star off. The pretzel was great, probably the best of the bunch. Jalapeno poppers were nice and large, good flavor balance of cream cheese and jalapeno. Mozz sticks were mozz sticks. We didn't care for the wings. For one, they weren't tossed in the buffalo sauce, it was just poured over the top, and they also were a tad dry... maybe fried too long. The pizza was a letdown, especially since other reviews were so complimentary of it. The slices were very floppy, it maybe could have used a couple minutes more. The cheese had a nice flavor, but the sauce was not either of our preference. Could have used more pineapple, less jalapeno to balance the bites. Overall, we didn't finish it, and didn't take the leftovers for later. It could just be our personal tastes, so go and decide for yourself. Outside of food, it was trivia night, and people were having a great time. We would have taken part if we were staying longer. I think if I lived in the area, I would still come here, and just figure out what food items are the ones to get and which ones aren't. Great atmosphere, friendly bartender and people.
