This pizza joint is located across Discovery Place-Kids which is so convenient. You literally just cross the street and it's there. It has a clean and inviting environment. My girls and I were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant. There were a lot of pizzas to choose from, they also have pastas and salad. I opted for salad since I wasn't really hungry. First time coming to this pretty good pizza place in Huntersville called Slice. The food was good, fast service and welcoming ambiance with larger tables and booths. They have plenty of pizza combinations on display and you choose one or more slices and they heat it up for you and deliver to your table. The slices are large and tasty. I would have preferred to have crust to be a little More crispy but it was New York style and I think that is how it comes. Pricing is definitely reasonable with slices about $4 each. Happened into SHP yesterday for lunch. It was amazing. Ordered a side salad (huge enough for 2) and a slice of pepperoni pizza. Their pizza sauce was excellent and my pizza was loaded with pepperoni! I've been meaning to try out Slice House for a while & finally did. They did not disappoint! The large slices of cheesy, yummy toppings topped pizza slices really made me happy! Decent priced slices. Called to order pizza ahead, it only took about 15 minutes they said and it was ready when I got there in 20 minutes so their timing was perfect and the lady I spoke with on the phone was prompt and polite. We ordered one medium pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, onion and green bell pepper. The first thing I noticed was the sauce, it was delicious! They put a good amount of toppings on the pizza but the only thing I would have done is kept it in the oven slightly longer, it was very floppy and a little soggy. Love that this spot has a wide variety of pizza by the slice, but also other food offerings if you're not feeling pizza. I've had so many people tell me this place is tops for different things: Garlic knots, salads, shrimp pastas, and macaroni and cheese. I had to try it out, and low and behold, I couldn't sleep on the pizza slices staring at me in the face! I did get an order of the famous garlic knots, and I can see why folks may like them, though I didn't. I felt they were too bready, not enough yummy garlic topping. The pizza/marinara sauce served with it is pretty sweet, too. But the pizza was fantastic. I got a slice of pepperoni with mushrooms, which was warm with gooey cheese. So tasty!! My daughter got a slice of Hawaiian pizza and a slice of cheese, and she ended up liking the cheese better. We visited at prime lunch hour and the place was jam-packed. We felt lucky to find a seat! The dining room is full and tons of people are waiting for to-go orders around the counter. The place is small, and if this freaks you out (it does my daughter) then maybe go on an off time and not at noon. It is worth it. I've been here a couple of times since we're not too far. The pizzas are good but honestly nothing to rave about. The crusts are thin, which is my preference. However, not a lot of flavor to it. When you walk in, there's a glass case that displays the pizzas they have available by the slice. There is a good selection of pizzas, pinwheels, and calzones when I've been. You select which slice you want and they'll heat it up in the oven. When I was there, service was pretty quick even though it was busy. I got my two slices, and hoped the pizza was at least worth the trip. Well...let me tell you, at first bite, I was shocked! Could it be? A slice of pizza reminiscent of what I ate back in Brooklyn? No way...after giving up searching for something even in the realm of NY style pizza out here in Charlotte, just when I wasn't seeking it, I found it! Just as the saying goes. I don't know if they consider it NY style, but it's pretty darn close. Besides that, the pizza is just delicious. And to test my taste buds, I brought a group of friends with me a few days later to try. They don't care much about NY pizza, they just like good pizza. Every single one of them was happy with their lunch and agreed it was delicious. We've even gone back since then. The chicken Parm, caprese, margherita slices, I can all vouch for. And the all important cheese slice which has no toppings to hide behind, all very good. I've only been for lunch, and it gets packed quickly because of how good it is. Before we placed an order on door dash we specifically called the store and spoke to a girl and asked her if she could ensure the 3 ranch sauces would be in the order we placed . Well the driver gets here and of course we are missing 2 out of the 3 ranch sauces we ordered. The disappointing part of this whole experience is the way they responded . When we called back the girl responded saying she didn't bag it and when we voiced how upset we were with this, her response was "okay" . Boom to Slice House for the many variety of slices to choose from on our first dine-in visit and another boom for the delicious beef, pepperoni and onion pie we ordered to go a couple weeks later. Slice House occupies the former. Lupie's location at the corner of Gilead and Old Statesville in downtown Huntersville and are an excellent addition to the LKN casual dining scene. On the first visit we tried slices of White Pizza with spinach, Grandma's and Meat Lovers. Every one of them were both big for the price and tasty. For the Meat Lovers, they need to put it in all CAPS on the menu cause that is the meatiest version of one I've ever had. I was imagining a whole pie of the ML weighing like 20 pounds! Pizza is good, thin crust cooked all the way through lightly crisped and holds a fold without sagging (after nibbling off the tip.) Buffalo pizza is spicy but not ridiculously so with just enough cheesey blueness to keep your mouth happy!
