I walked into a small pizzeria, and it was packed. I thought I would have to wait to order but luckily they have a kiosk. I ordered a Grandma Sicilian pizza, meat lovers pizza with fries and beer cheese as an appetizer. The meat lovers had a crispy bottom, but not blackened. I enjoyed it immensely. The fries were crispy and very tasty with the beer cheese. The Grandma Sicilian was disappointing. When I started to eat it I found that it was very cold. The cheese looked dried and old and the sauce was cold. I informed the cashier and they replaced it with another which was a way better improvement. However, after eating the fries and the pizza slice. I was pretty much stuffed. I would love to go back there and retry the Grandma Sicilian pizza and add sausage to fulfil my carnivore nature. read more

Pizza crust has great flavor, sauce is good- doesn't give you heartburn, cheese is there- if I had a complaint pizza could use a little more cheese. Yesterday was my second time visiting the corner crust restaurant. My friends and I arrived around 935. We were happy that we made it in time before they closed. Amory was working at the front register. She was very sweet and patient and helped us to decide on what we wanted at first we were on the fence about ordering three slices of the Brooklyn Pizza, but Amory made a suggestion that we order the 16 inch pizza instead. Visiting the area and found this place for dinner. Staff was very friendly. Interior has just a few tables and some picnic tables outside. We each ordered a slice of pizza and mozzarella sticks. Despite being very busy our order came out quickly. The Hawaiian had canned pineapple- would prefer fresh. My son tried pepperoni and fresh mozzarella. He enjoyed it but found it to be greasy. The slices are enormous so one is definitely enough. While we were there someone picked up a pizza so large we weren't sure it would make it through the door. Great if you're feeding a crowd! Place used to be a hit when it first opened. I believe it has changed owners since. I might of hit it on a off night. Slices are pretty high but huge. We ordered spinach and garlic slice and garden vegetable. Ricotta cheese, and spinach was just placed on top of already made cheese pizza and heated in the oven. Had the pleasure to try The Corner Crust last night for the first time. I ordered two slices, including the Brooklyn and the Buffalo Chicken. They were both individual slices from their 28" pies, so they were huge; bigger than any other NY-style slices I've had before. Flavor on both slices was on point, and after eating these two slices, I was done. This was the first time I've had pizza this well prepared since the Russo-owned Neighbor's Pizzeria out of Virginia Beach, VA decades ago. It brought me right back. Accompanied by a canned SunDrop embossed with Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s #3 recently run at North Wilkesboro Speedway; this was poetic being that The Corner Crust is located only feet from RT 3, Dale Earnhardt Blvd in Kannapolis. Definitely the best pizza in or around Charlotte, NC and definitely worth the drive from Rock Hill, SC without question. Looking forward to my next trip to The Corner Crust to try the Hawaiian!
