Fair Price Carpets have install tile floor for us several years ago. So, when we needed new tiles for different house, we went there first. Jeremy helped us, and answered all our questions. We then got other estimates, but found the Fair Price Carpet's price was better. So, we went back there and Jeremy helped us with all the details. Fair Price Carpets is as good as it gets when it comes to shopping for flooring. Their selection is huge, and they have an awesome showroom with tons of choices. The showroom even has actual flooring installed in different sections so you can really get a feel for what you are considering. The staff was very helpful and had some great suggestions and ideas. Prices were great, and they even offered financing. They even let me walk around and take a look at the different types of granite they had in stock. We worked with this company to recarpet our house and were totally satisfied with the service, price, and carpet. This was a first time experience for me, and Jeremy worked with us closely through each step of the way. The crews who did the installation and moved our furniture did a wonderful job. I should have written this a few years ago - I purchased 4 rooms of carpet and 2 rooms and hallway with tile. One year after my living room carpet wrinkled. After much discussion they finally decided to send someone out to stretch. Those people told me poor installation caused the ripples. Now, 6 years later the carpet is still very nice but wrinkled in every room. It's going to cost me a lot to get it fixed. I would never buy from them again nor would I recommend them. My husband and I had a lot of tile work done by Fair Price - master bedroom, master bath - both with flooring and then also the shower was done. We needed expert help to design and install such a large project. The tile was done with different patterns - this needed precision and care - and to be accurately measured. We only had a few small extra pieces to order. There was a problem at one point - but with the help of Nicole P. - we got it ironed out. No job this size doesnt have problems. I'm a few weeks behind in putting this up on yelp but the rest of the kitchen remodel consumed my life :) While I only had a $1,000 job in the kitchen for wall to wall tile, it felt like the folks at Fairprice were treating it like a $10,000 job. I really mean it. Tom showed an extreme amount of patience with my wife and I as we tried to match tile that we had installed 10 years earlier. After countless ordering of samples he helped us order an alternative tile knowing the style and colors we were after. The install crew were clean, quick and curtious. We picked grout using the swatch (paper card) and they arrived the 2nd day to put it in. We were thrilled. Then, on the day after, we were horrified to see how light the grout dried to. I called Tom, and without hesitation, the crew was out later that day and they deinstalled/reinstalled the grout for us with one that my wife picked out after going to Home Depot. I thought we were going to be in trouble because we picked the swatch and they had us verify the grout number for the first go around. To offer up reinstalling new grout amazed and pleased us. Even the tech showed no hesitation on the reinstall and acted like he just wanted us to be happy. All I can say is WOW!!! My only recommendation to you if you're reading this is to make sure you look at the real dried grout samples at the big box stores before settling on a color. Our swatch and actual installed grout were way, way, way off. To my friends at Fairprice, my only suggestion might be to offer having the same "real" dried grout samples with your installers. We have purchased carpet and hardwood flooring from Fair Price several times and we've always been very happy with the product and the labor. Recently we decide to remodel our kitchen where we had beautiful hardwood flooring. Since it had been six years I wasn't sure if Fair Price would still carry our hard wood flooring as we needed more to complete the new project. I went to Fair Price and met with Jeremy. He was able to find my hard wood flooring for me which was amazing in and of itself. This is my third project with Fair Price Carpets and I can't say enough about how great it is to work with them. I reviewed them here on Yelp after my first experience because I couldn't believe their selection and prices. The second project was even better. I had to carpet an entire 2-story Victorian house that our business uses as an office. The 20-year-old carpet was falling to pieces. We'd avoided getting new carpet because the furniture on the main floor was mostly built in. We were afraid of downtime and the hassle of moving everything. My challenge was to get everything done over one weekend without having to be closed. Fair Price helped us with advice when they came out to measure and quote. If we used carpet tile, they told us, they could slide it under the built-ins and we would not have to disassemble everything. As our business is a design-oriented firm, the carpet we picked was a very trendy combination of carpet tile for the downstairs and a matching broadloom for the stairs and top floor. If you have ever worked with designers, you know how picky they are. Fair Price ordered many, many samples with no complaint until we arrived at a perfect selection. Even so, the best part of the job was the installers. When they arrived, they were fully briefed on, and actually really cared about, our tight timeline. They worked like maniacs and when they discovered some time-consuming problems with the clean up on the sub floor, they brought in another helper to make sure they would be able to finish. Even though it was late when they were done, they stayed to move all of the upstairs furniture back into place perfectly so we were ready to open Monday morning. Last month I went back to Fair Price for an area rug for my home. The carpet arrived on time and they took my old rug without a disposal fee--again, the best part was the service. When I called to see if the rug was ready before I picked it up, my sales person was out sick that day and the office person, instead of just taking a message, actually went through all the paperwork, found the order, and went out to the warehouse. She and the warehouse person looked until they found it and called me back. I have two more rooms to carpet with area rugs and I wouldn't even consider going anyplace else. My first purchase was in 1973 but this last one was a disaster from start to finish. I go to a local business to get expertise and good customer service but this business has lost touch. I am so disappointed and angry. I purchased new flooring for downstairs and carpet for upstairs. I have dogs so I was specific that I knew hardwood wouldn't work and I spent weeks going back and bringing samples home before finally selecting the flooring and carpet their salesperson recommended. The flooring scratched the first day. The dogs' claws pulled at the carpet immediately, The installers dented my brand new refrigerator and the company still hasn't taken responsibility for that. And they did not finish off the door transitions. It's been a year and I am still angry. Their total resolution to date? A one-gallon bottle of Armstrong floor cleaner. I will never use or recommend them again. read more

Just contracted Fair Price to install wood and carpet in our new home and had a horrible experience. There is a sizeable difference with what you are told and what reality is. Additionally, there is a huge disconnect from the office and the installers and the customer is the one that suffers. I'm not sure if it is just incompetence with the office staff, or that is just how they do business. Starting from the beginning, I was provided a time table of 4 days to complete the "project", which I thought was fairly aggressive. Reality was 13 working days. I was provided a quote for everything and then at the time of completion, the quote was somehow 15% more. Once I questioned the additional expenses, the overages came down 5%. There was some additional work that was completed, however, the prices they give you after they have the work is grossly inflated. For example, a $1.50/lf piece of 4" Baseboard that you can get at Home Depot is now $3.50 and the installers basically do what they want to do without giving you (the customer) the opportunity to do anything about it. I was originally provided a verbal quote of $4/lf (furnish and install) should I want to add any baseboard and since I didn't and the installer did not want to reuse the old base board, I am now paying $6.50/lf for baseboard that the installer seemed that needed to be replaced. Aside from that, I'll just list the positives / negatives of my experience. Positives - Installers (both Carpet and Wood) provided good quality work. Negatives - I was charged $800 for "floor prep" which was explained to me to be taking the glue off of the floor from the existing wood laminate removal. The existing laminate wasn't glued, it was nailed and was on a vapor barrier sheet as well. - First day of work, they provide a window of when they will arrive? Not sure why they just can't show up first thing in the morning? They state.....the crew will be there between 9 and 11. If it's the first day of work, why is there a window? - Wood installer showed up after 10am every day. The home they were working on was vacant....and they don't show up until after 10:00am? 5:30 pm was quitting time, including lunch and breaks. - Somehow after the quote was signed and the deposit placed, the moisture barrier required under the new wood was missed. I was informed that the warranty would be void if there was no vapor barrier, so at that point when they have your money they can quote you whatever they want. - The existing laminate was on 5/8" plywood and there was two rooms that had carpet so they had to install 5/8" plywood in the existing carpet areas in order to bring up the subfloor to all the same elevation. This amounted to 19 sheets of plywood and I was charged $157.89/each ($ 3,000 total) to furnish and install this plywood. - There was a two working day lag between the time the wood installer was complete and the carpet installer began. The wood installer finished on a Friday and the carpet didn't start til the following Wednesday. - I provided a date with which they could begin demolition of the existing floors, and somehow the "impression" I gave was they could do demo 5 days prior? At the end of the day the materials that were installed turned out like we had imagined, however, getting there was extremely painful and to be quite honest, we feel like we were taken advantage of when it comes right down to it. There was a problem every step of the way and I do believe that most of it could have been avoided if there was better communication. If I had to do it all over again I would go with someone else. read more

After a massive flood in our home, we had to bid out for new carpet. Fair Price had the best price. We had some issues with the bank losing checks, we are still having issues with the bank...but Jason and FPC have been EXTREMELY patient and very understanding. After two months of subfloor and concrete, we finally got our carpet. The install was ON POINT. Amazing install job. Our stairs have never looked so good. Plus...they are a local business. They were referred to me by my boss and he was right!! I would use them again and I highly recommend them! Plus, their office cat is super cute! UPDATE: 3/3/17 Fair Price did such a great job with our carpet....I called Kurt (who by the way has an amazing sense of humor) and had him get me a quote on wood woven blinds. GEEZ!!! Another amazing job!! They were totally affordable, the install was fast....so then we ordered MORE wood woven blinds. That install was completed yesterday. The entire house now has such a nice, finished look. I couldn't be happier with their product, install and most of all...I just adore the customer service. We went looking for 12 in tile for our master bath. I asked if they had "remnants" and Tom led us to lots of piles out side that were extra or overruns. We found some nice tile. Tom was very helpful and kind standing out in the hot sun with us. :) We got 50 sq ft. of very good tile for a very low price. Will definitely go see them again if needed. We purchased carpet from Fair Price in 2013 based on the reviews of this site. The carpet we purchased and had installed came with a 10 year warranty and after 18 months the carpet showed numerous defects and excessive wear. We contacted Fair Price (Kurt) who contacted the manufacturer regarding our claim. The manufacturer sent someone to take pictures and to inspect the carpet. After a week, we were contacted by Fair Price advising us that the manufacturer had denied our claim and refused to honor any part of their warranty. Kurt further stated that he would be contacting the manufacturer on our behalf and would fight in our defense because he agreed that our claim was valid. Within a few days, Kurt contacted us letting us know that the manufacturer would in fact honor our claim and would be replacing the carpet. This would not have happened without Kurt & Fair Price's intervention on our behalf. We selected new carpet from Fair Price and it was installed at the manufacturer's expense. They had to be forced to honor their own warranty! We were so pleased and surprised with the fact Fair Price would defend its customer against a large carpet manufacturer. Since this was the 2nd time we've had Fair Price install carpeting in our home, we were happy with the level of professionalism and customer service we have received from the office staff, "Pepe" and all of their installers who were all neat and very thorough. I have since referred my close friends and family members to Fair Price who are in the market for new flooring. A great, local and family run business who has been in the area since 1957! read more

I came to them after planning to buy from Home Depot, but HD could not flex to rush my needed carpet delivery schedule. They found the same carpet I wanted at HD, I saved $1000 for 92 yds., they rushed the order from Georgia and had it installed a day ahead of schedule!! Buyer beware that Home Depot sells cheap per sq. ft price, but they nickel and dime you much more in the end. Fair Price included everything, including old carpet removal and I saved big $$. If you want a fancy place and a fancy showroom (that adds overhead to a company's prices), this is NOT it, but I wish I bought carpet more often because this type of customer service is golden. Also they kept me informed every step of the way. PS If you find a HD carpet, look up the warranty online to see the carpet mfr...then find your carpet on the Mfr's site, and then come to Fair Price to order it under its real name. Same exact carpet, but HD wants to fool you with their rebranding. Love my new carpet! Installers were very good too. read more

Very happy with our new flooring. Nichole at Fair Price helped us select beautiful ceramic tile that was within our budget. Pepe came out and measured, told us what to expect as far as installation time and the dust that would occur due to some demolition that had to be done. His estimates were accurate and the work was completed on time and looks great. There was not even as much dust as they had us expect. The installation crew of 3 arrived promptly at 9 each day and worked non stop till quitting time.That was good for us and them, as it was bitter cold out and they were doing a lot of prep work outdoors. We offered them lunch one day, but they declined saying they preferred not to stop and eat and break the momentum of their work.They were very quiet and professional and the craftsmanship is high level. I left one star off because of the one installer's cigarette butts left out front for me to pick up. A really good experience, however, and by far the most professional estimate we received. (the other well known company with the snappy jingle quoted one day installation and said they would bring in about ten guys and that I needed to go away for the day and to remove anything of value from my home. What the heck is that? They were also very expensive and provided no written quote) Support our local businesses and call Fair Price first. I want to thank everyone at Fair Price Carpet for such fantastic customer service! We purchased our carpet and it was installed in March 2015. Since my husband and I were finally through paying college tuitions for our children we decided to splurge on our carpet purchase. We bought beautiful Shaw carpet and I loved it! The carpet is pretty plush so when I noticed lines on the carpet I thought I was from my vacuum. After a while I figured out it wasn't from my vacuum. I called and spoke to Jason (who sold us the carpet) and he immediately had Pepe come out to take a look. Pepe said it was from the dye and they would contact Shaw who would get in contact with me. After several weeks of not hearing anything from Shaw I called Fair Price back. I was put in contact with Debbie who took it from there and said it was unacceptable that they had not contacted me. Debbie was a godsend, she stood her ground with Shaw keeping us the customer as her top priority. Debbie went back and forth with Shaw and they finally agreed to replace our carpet! We have our new carpet in and there are no more lines! I want to thank everyone at Fair Price, Jason, Pepe, the installers (I'm sorry I don't know their names) and especially Debbie. I would definitely recommend Fair Price Carpet, they have a beautiful selection of carpet but I think more importantly they have exceptional customer service! read more
