This 4 star review is just for the tile installation as everything else was lowkey a nightmare. We had talked about everything we need done in our restroom and Julio said it's possible. First day, one of his guys shows up and had no idea what we wanted and said some requests were impossible so he went home and more guys came back the next day. There was a huge miscommunication with every person that has shown up to our home, with guys even not coming at all unless I called Julio. We had asked for the tub to get new caulking and silicone and were under the assumption that he would remove the old one, dry it out, reinstall, etc. but he just added a new layer on top. By the 4th day of this I knew no one was coming so I ended up finding other contractors. They also hooked up the pipes in our vanity and the hot and cold water are swapped, and it started leaking. Sadly I feel like I was naïve to think one flooring company can do everything I requested and the work should have been split between other contractors. read more

I had a great experience with JCL flooring. As soon as I put out my project to request quotes they responded right away (even though it was about 5PM) and sent out a team to inspect and repair the next morning when it was convenient for my schedule. They quickly had a plan and repaired my warped laminate flooring in my kitchen , as well as called in a plumber that was affiliated with them so I didn't have to create a separate project for that issue. The team was quick and Sergio was very polite. He even wiped down my oven as he was handling the floor under it, and noticed I needed a refresh on the sealant around my sink and took care of it using high quality sealant. He went the extra mile! The plumber they called was also great to work with and arrived quickly, and replaced the old garbage disposal that had leaked. Any speedbumps or small challenges that arose, Julio was on it immediately. He was upfront about costs - down to the price of each bag of leveling concrete and the labor cost per bag. No attempts to upcharge. His installers were lovely to have in the house and very careful with our space and furniture. We hired JCL to replace broken flooring that another company installed incorrectly a few years ago. We first contracted with Empire for this replacement job, but their their pricing, communication, and planning were terrible and we canceled our contract before starting. From the moment I sent measurements and photos and asked for a quote the response was so fast and came with an amazing and fair estimate, once I accepted they were ready to start work with in a day or two! Julio and his amazing team were at my house 2 days later, on time, ready to work and so friendly and accommodating! Our project had some challenges as we were taking out carpet and putting in hard wood floor that would go next to tile, so the transition from wood to tile had to be figured out and Julio calmly said " Don't worry we will find a solution you are very happy with" and wow they sure did, they ended up putting a boarder of the wood flooring around the edges of the floor and it turned out as a beautiful boarder! JCL Flooring is FANTASTIC! In just one week, I had an in-person visit, an incredibly affordable quote, and a beautiful finished product. We had 1970's era open stairs that were dangerous and the planks were unsteady. We wanted to close in the staircase to make it safer for children, and to create something under the enclosed staircase for our beloved dogs. Jake, the project manager, responded immediately to our request for a quote and came out the next day, a Friday. He was easy to work with, knowledgeable, and provided great advice for the ideas we had. He stayed in contact both via phone and in person throughout the entire process and was able to work a miracle with a design idea that we would not have been able to afford otherwise. Julio, the construction manager, showed up right on time with his crew and with Jake on Monday and spent a significant amount of time talking with us and the crew to ensure that all of the weird, unsafe 1970's remnants could be safely repaired. Once the plan was in place, he came up with a great idea to take my idea of a dog house below the stairs and make it come to fruition in a way that fit with our design style and decor without looking silly. The crew - Sergio Sr, Sergio Jr, and Esteban - are incredible. They are craftsmen that are perfectionists, and work so hard with truly quality results. They worked 10 hours straight for 4 days, and were able to accommodate my husband and me working from home during that time. They are kind and funny in addition to being great craftsmen, and it was a pleasure to have them in our home. Excellent Work! I needed to replace red oak planks in selected areas of our family room flooring damaged by water leaks resulting in discoloration and mold. I had saved extra sealed boxes of the planks plus left over pieces from the original installation in case I needed repairs. I posted the Yelp request on Monday and received an estimate from Jcl Flooring/Julio the same day. Julio visited our home on Wednesday to finalize the quote on site, and his team arrived on Friday morning to perform the job. The work, performed by this licensed business, was completed by the afternoon. This is extremely efficient follow up on a Yelp request for services given the project required skill to remove existing planks and lace in new planks in 3 different areas of the family room. The crew carefully selected the right color and wood grain planks from the saved boxes and left over planks to match the existing adjacent planks in each area providing uniformity in appearance. Dust, created by cutting and chiseling to remove the existing planks, was contained by plastic sheet tents built over each repair site. A vacuum cleaner was then used to capture the dust as it was generated inside the tent limiting its spread. This was critical since the family room is open to our kitchen plus eating area. The innovative dust collection method avoided a major cleanup of the kitchen counters, appliances, cabinets, table, and chairs. The final result was beautiful family room floor with a uniform appearance with no signs of the earlier water damage and no hint of individual boards having been changed out. The crew worked hard, was respectful, and cleaned up upon completion. Given the skill of the repair team, I was able to avoid having to replace the full floor in the family room, kitchen, and eating all of which have the same wood planks. As a result, the labor and materials for this repair approach were reasonable. I will definitely recommend JCL flooring to other residents in my HOA seeking quality and value for their investment. read more

Julio arrived right on time! We needed new flooring in the small part of our bathroom that just has a toilet and shower - the laminate was separating. Julio suggested a product that is made of stone, wood, plastic and vinyl...and that we go a bit further into where the sink is and the dressing area because he noticed that some of the laminate planks there were also separating. It looked so beautiful that my husband wanted it to also go down the hallway. Julio and his guys did an excellent job!!! We wanted new toilets too and they got them for us and installed them and even put our bidets on for us.
