It is very kid-friendly, and dog-friendly. We were there for the corn, but mainly for the amazing corn dogs from Bite Me, a "gourmet" corn dog tent. Someone talked me into entering the corn eating contest. It was a weird, team event with several heats, so there really weren't any winners (or we were all winners, right?) The corn was good, the competitors were friendly, it was well-organized, and I had fun. Afterward we had a couple of corn dogs, including Sweetie's first-ever. A few sweet treats, a little wandering amongst the crowds, and we were off.

Be sure to pick up your child's A World A'Fair Passport which can be stamped as they visit other countries! A World A'Fair is WELL worth checking out! I visit often whenever I'm in town because I'm a big art fan--I enjoy everything from contemporary pieces to works dating back to the 14th-19th centuries. The building itself is absolutely beautiful and truly stunning. The staff is always super friendly and accommodating, which makes every visit even better. And don't skip the gift shop--they have some really lovely merchandise. This place is a gem. A must-visit for anyone who loves art or just wants a peaceful and inspiring experience.

The waterway is one of may favorite parts of the museum and glad it's still up and running 20+ years later. We actually went to watch the Mesmerica 360 show in the dome theater. That was rather mundane to me but that's not the fault of the museum. My biggest peeve of the visit was seeing the us flag was still being masted when it is in tatters. I posted in my 'check in' and I will post again here in my review that it's time to retire this flag and replace with a fresh replacement. Whomever is in charge of the grounds here should be embarrassed. Please do better.

Aimed at single-digits ages, and Kid K felt a little old I think. She found stuff to do, but a quieter day with not so many little kids would have been more fun for her. Still, she did some of the science things, and we went to the indoor zoo- very cool, very cute, very clean. They had a few scheduled special activities during the day but we missed them. There were a lot of staff around helping and keeping an eye on things, which is always good. Multiple discounts, so check for those. Prices are reasonable even without them. Parking was packed on a busy day, but we found a spot. It's in a big park so no other crowded places nearby. A great draw for the area.

The young woman who took our dinner order, Grace, was incredible. We felt for her, as she handled the situation professionally and provided excellent service despite the constant oversight. We wish her all the best. Later, when we went to get ice cream, Emily was just as friendly and helpful as Grace. Unfortunately, our ice cream was already melting and dripping down the cones when we received it. A kind employee offered to have them remade, and we gladly accepted. However, the replacement order was made incorrectly, and at that point we decided to simply eat what we were given. While both Grace and Emily provided outstanding customer service, the issues with the ice cream unfortunately put a damper on the end of our visit. As visitors from Oregon, we were excited to compare the experience to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. The visit started off wonderfully thanks to your staff, but the ending left us disappointed. Overall, we enjoyed our time, but in our opinion, Tillamook still holds the edge.
