This may be a 70.00 at best a night place but not the 170..00 I paid. While the staff was friendly everything else was a failure. 1-The refrigerator was not working properly for a medication that requited refrigeration. To give you an idea I put two bottles of water in the freezer part and did not even develope a slight freeze overnight. 2-The desk is nice but there is no light or outlet to plug in your laptop. And to add insult to injury the pnuematic chair will not stay adjusted to desk height so when you sit in it it slowling goes down. 3-Carpets. Looks dirty and with stains. 4-The refrigerator is in an open cabinet with a microwave on top. I have no idea with the amount of dust but it is nasty looking. For 170.00 I was not expecting the Hilton but I was expecting a nice room that after a 13 hour drive I could lay back and relax. Not the case, sad to say. If I was not so exhausted from my drive and if it was not 9:30 at night I would have gone down to the office to ask my reservation be cancelled and my card credited. I knew we'd be coming in on a hot day after a 6hr drive, so I picked a place w a pool. The pool (and completely detached hot tub) was closed due to... RAIN earlier in the week?! The staff was friendly. There were no weird smells in the hallways or ancient elevator. The floorplan is odd and the walls are thin, at one point it sounded like someone was attempting to enter our room through the ceiling. There is a railroad 8' from the rear of the building that our room directly overlooked, thankfully it doesn't run on weekends. The little coffee pot was inches away from the toddler sized toilet with a seat that was barely hanging on and could only be flushed once a day. When I closed the shower curtain there was a used washcloth hanging between the rings, I put that on the floor for housekeeping. The bed was super comfy and springy like the ones in grandmas spare room, so we got really good sleep. This is a horrible place and they are completely crooked! I flew from California to Boise and drove the rest of the way after being up for 24 hours because my father was dying. I arrived at 5:15am only to find that my reservation had been cancelled! They informed me that it was their "protocol" to cancel a reservation if you don't arrive by 3am. No where on the booking documents were we given that information. I called and begged them to let me stay there and the answer was no. They charged me for 4 days because it was non-refundable! I had no idea that was the case because the trip was booked through AAA travel. However, I could understand if they had to keep the money for one night, but not all 4! I was never told it was non-refundable but I also didn't know about the need to arrive by 3am. They DO NOT have that stipulation on our booking documents! When my credit card company called to investigate, they said they would not refund my money because I had been there and checked in and everything. They actually lied to Citi cards! I was not allowed to check in. I never set foot on their property!! They even gave a man's name that I spoke to when I got there and checked in, I believe his name was Allen per the document they provided to Citi. I never signed a document to get my keys nor can they provide one unless they forged it! I ended up at motel 6 to be near the hospital where my father was. After that night, I went back and forth driving an hour and twenty minutes each way to my parents which is in Orofino to Lewiston each day in order to see my father. This whole things is disgusting to me! How can they charge me when they know I wasn't there? They never said I had to be there by 3am, or we would never have booked there in the first place. I was shocked when I called there at 5:15, totally exhausted and so emotional only to be told the reservation was cancelled! It wasn't an old booking, it was from the day before my arrival. Someone needs to do something about this place. It may be me, because I am ready to get an attorney to help me with this. I called the 800 number listed on the website and they gave me a confirmation and charge my credit card. when I got to the hotel they had no record and they still charge my credit card. Pretty disappointed. We came down this weekend (7/4-7/5), we specifically booked here because we wanted to use the pool. I work in hospitality, so it makes no sense to me why they would wait to clean the pool until the weekend, let alone the weekend of the 4th of July, during open pool hours. As a hospitality worker, I've always been taught tho do things that affect the guests ability to use an amenity before the busy time (weekends). We would have gladly paid the extra $20 to stay at motel 6 if we knew we wouldn't be able to use the pool here. read more

I'm writing this review on the night that I checked in. This has been an absolutely atrocious experience so far. After I checked in, I moved multiple large and heavy bins to my room using the dolly. This was a tiring process. Then, after I unpacked all of my stuff, I wanted to take a shower. After I started the water, I waited an unreasonably long time for the water to get hot. The water never got hot. So I just say ok, whatever. I contact the concierge about the problem, which lead to me changing rooms so then, I end up having to move all my heavy bins and all of my belongings to a different room. Even though the new room was just three doors away, I was still utterly exhausted after moving all of my stuff twice. Here's the best part. After moving all of my stuff again and I'm dead tired and slightly irritated, I go to try the shower again. Lo and behold, the water was still cold. So I'm never coming here again, and I hope you, the reader, don't either. You will be better off getting a different one. read more

No one told me the cleaning service had to be requested (covid) until a week into my two week stay. The room and the hallways smell like stale cigarettes and weed. The elevator was down my entire stay and I was on the fourth floor. I was working at the mill and staying here. The staff super friendly and helpful. Road trip! No advanced reservations. But we found this place on the internet while we were driving North from Walla Walla. Not sure what was here, but since neither of us had been here, we figured why not. The cost was even better when we checked in, a little more than $10 less! Quite a deal when we were initially quoted $67. We are not picky when it comes to hotels. We only want a place that is clean, indoor plumbing, hot & cold water, non-smoking room. Great if they have refrigerator, & microwave in the room. Husband likes places with free breakfast. I like real food, not the powdered eggs & other processed foods. I usually bring my own, that's why I like having a refrigerator. Oh, and your coffee sucks. I'm a coffee snob from Seattle. Sorry! This place has it all. Bathroom was a little small but adequate. There's never enough electrical outlets so I pack a surge protector with extra plug ins. Bonus flat screen TV with cable! Such a luxury. The place is a bit run down and could use a facelift, but then the price would go up. We decided to stay an extra night because we wanted to see Hells Canyon. I was afraid that the place would be booked because it's Memorial Day weekend. Surprisingly, we were able to extend another night at the same price. Such a deal! They charged me the 3 nights in advanced. The booking site said it would be $247 and the Hotel charged me $391. I checked in the day I booked. When I got to the floor I was on, It was filthy and had trash in the hallways. It smelled like old cigarettes. When I opened my room, there were no bed sheets. And the bed had various colored stains all over it. The couch had animal feces on it. There was trash on the floor. The floorboard was falling off and the AC was not working. I immediately checked out and they refused to refund me any of it, bc I didn't cancel 24 hrs in advance. I literally called to book 2 hrs prior to checking on. And they still never refunded me the other nights that was well over 24 hour advance notice after checking out and canceling all my other night reservations. This was on 7/20/21. Today is 7/30/2021 and they still have not responded to any calls or emails for my refund. The booking agency was no help. I was overcharged the amount I originally booked for and they said that it is at the hotels discretion to refund me any of the amount that was charged on my cc. $400 dollars practically stolen for services that were never rendered at a filthy hotel that was unlivable. read more

REASONS TO AVOID: 1) People live here in the rooms full time. 2) People smoke cigarettes on all floors. 3) People have pets on all floors. 4) Our room had shoes and sandals under the bed, dirty bathtub and sheets that looked/smelled nowhere near clean. 5) The "breakfast" gets wiped out by the people who live here so you are lucky to get a biscuit and butter if you are down there later than 7 am. The hotel is recognizably run-down and has sloppy paint jobs, loose carpet and paint chips as well as a sketchy elevator that you can hear running all night. The whole place reeks of cigarette smoke and musty dogs. Also, make sure your car alarm is on as there are a ton of aketchy people in the parking lot/smoking area 24/7. Would prefer to give 0 stars but unfortunately, that is not an option. Cheapest in town for a reason. Avoid, if at all possible. read more

Upon checking in, our room was found to be unclean...hair in the bed, unclean pillows, grime in the bathroom and shower. The clerk moved us to a second room...in this room there was no electricity in the bathroom, the wall plugin was hanging out of the wall, the plugin in the closet area did not work. We went back to the clerk again, he moved us to our third room. Upon going to check it out, when we arrived, the door was propped open and an extension cord was running out to the pool for maintenance. This room had not been cleaned. After driving 4 hours down from Bonners Ferry, we were supposed to stay the night in Lewiston, I booked just one night and we were getting in late. Once we arrived, we were exhausted, and waited to be checked in, the hotel is short staffed, and while friendly, utterly unhelpful. They informed us that the elevator just went out and they were going to have to have someone out in the morning. So my pregnant wife and I had to haul our luggage up to the third story only to find out our keys were not working. I had to leave my wife and our belongings upstairs and run back down to get rekeyed. While this wouldn't normally be a problem, again the elevator is down... Once we were finally able to get into the room, we noticed the door doesn't have a full seal, the room is dark, and generally unclean. Well, it's not the end of the world, I thought, could it possibly get any worse? Lo and behold it could, I anticipated being able to sit down and get some work done tonight, but I didn't see any information regarding how to sign in. I call up the front desk and they informed me that their internet is down as well, and I asked if we changed hotels now if they would still charge us or not, and she said she couldn't answer that was the general managers responsibility, who was not in. Again, friendly staff, exhausted with the problems the hotel management should have been fixing prior to anyone's arrival, can't really do anything to solve the issues. Bed bugs, I found and killed one, I counted over 40 bites on my person in linear groupings distinctive of bed bugs. I found their little bloody bug poops on the sheets and bed. I informed front desk, two weeks later still no call back from manager. It took me hours to decontaminate my belongs when I got home. NIGHTMARE HOTEL, PLEASE READ: The ONLY reason for even two stars was the two incredibly kind staff members that jumped through hoops to help us get comfortable. I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel. When we got here we had to move rooms twice to find working AC (the first two rooms the AC blew cold air), and things only got worse from there. The lobby is INSANELY hot and swarming with flies. The continental breakfast is stale dry biscuits and congealed gravy, not much else. The microwave barely works (seems like it's from the 80s or 90s) and doesn't cook evenly, takes several more minutes to cook anything than you'd expect. The toilet broke, to which we filed a complaint and was told we'd have to wait til morning, and they never sent anyone. Our key stopped working halfway through our stay, as did another guests' who was locked out of their room without their seizure medication. The sink didn't drain in one of our rooms we stayed in. The fridge froze things and the freezer didn't really keep our stuff frozen. I called the front desk about 17 times over the course of our stay, only getting through once or twice. Everything is falling apart. This was the single worst hotel experience I've ever had. If your looking for a place to stay in Lewiston and this is the only available place, personally I would just jump in the river to not spend the night. Many people who stay here and love it have something else entirely wrong with there brains because of all the meth they probably do. I genuinely would not be surprised if I found a heroin needle under my pillow. DO NOT GO TO THIS "HOTEL" Unless you literally want to get charged with everything that happened in that room before you. While we stayed there for 5 days in between homes, they blamed us for smoking. Which we never were. They made us take out our own garbage all the way on the other side of the parking lot. While asking if I was even a guest .... they didn't see me come down because they were constantly outside smoking. We also were the only people to clean up after our dogs. There is dog shit just surrounding the building. When we left they charged us $315. Wanna know what for? I'll tell you. 1: a torn bed skirt that was already torn before we walked in. 2: blood. Nobody bled during this entire visit and we made sure to use our own towels and didn't sleep fully clothes. So good to know we were most likely in contact with someone else blood. 3: stains. I literally can't stress enough how effing stained every fabric was before we touched it. This place is so gross it even smells musty. Even when the lady with purple hair cleaned my room while I stood in the hall she said "wow this room is actually way cleaner then most" The only thing we dirtied was a few pillows with dog hair. I should have read some of the reviews here before I booked a room. For what it's worth, this is part of a series of reviews trashing the motels in Lewiston that raised rates, eliminated amenities and services, ignore potential discounts, all in the name of COVID-19. There are several that should be broke and boarded up by now, and this is one of them. I didn't stay here prior to the travel restrictions that the coronavirus problem produced, so I don't know if their rack rate actually increases as a result of it. I do know that unless you book through a discount service like Priceline or Booking.com, rack rate is the best you will get offered. No consideration of whether you are a visiting medical professional, have AAA or AARP, etc. is given at what has to be the least hospitable front desk in this town. Which leads me to discuss pet fees. They're very clear about their intention of recovering an extra night's stay charge for every 4 night stay. Four for the price of five! Must be a bargain in Idaho. I'm deducting 2 stars from every review if pet fees are charged. If I stay 4-5 nights, require virtually no housekeeping service for the duration, and leave behind a room that takes a pair of housekeepers only 15-20 minutes to clean and remake, I should be refunded the damned pet fees. Pool? Closed. Hot tub? Just kidding. Ice? Not on my floor. Breakfast? Granola bar, pastry, juice box, and an apple in a bag. You mean the chlorinated pool isn't safe to use, but I should eat an apple that I don't have the means to wash well? OK then. The room was fairly clean and the appliances worked. Basically, the very least that I expect when I pay money for a motel room. One star for that; net result is -1. Maybe -2 if I deduct another for the front desk attitude problem. read more

Fairbridge has bought out a lot of GuestHouse Inn places in the west, and I've seen improvement from the both that I've stayed at. Great food within a block in either direction. For the price (which was pretty low), I cannot complain. The beds and rooms were clean. The building is old and rough around the edges (the elevator is creaky as all get out). There is a fitness room with a Bowflex-type machine in it. The hallways smell like an old bingo hall, but with more cigarettes. The rooms themselves did not smell, though! A very basic continental breakfast is provided: cereal, waffles, coffee, milk, and juice. If you want something more, the hotel is within a half mile of the main drag. Also, there's wifi, but don't expect to rely on it. My connection was never solid enough to stay on it. Basically, this place is a good place to sleep off the whisky after a chilly Apple Cup in Pullman. This hotel is easy to get to from the Pullman campus, and you will wake up with a gorgeous view of scenic Idaho. read more

This is the most Horrible hotel I've ever stayed at. We stayed here for 7 days and were moved from room to room 4 times. First and second room had bed bugs (on second floor) then we were moved to the 3rd floor which I had called to see if they could replace the fridge because the one in our room didn't work to find out that Michael ( was told by him his the manager) put us in a room that has a non working fridge (working fridge was a must because that were we stock our drinks especially milk for our 2 yr old). So they moved us again because it's against their policy to remove the fridge ??? Smh then we finally got to the fourth room. After each and every room we move to We realized how dusty and dirty they were. Coffee packets were even dirty. We felt dirty when we left. Oh, don't expect them to make anything right or refund you for all the days you were hopping around because of the bed bugs. It's the most disgusting place I've ever lived in. And for the maid to say they had a room next door that had it worse (bed bugs) is beyond me. And to top it off she had to say every hotel and motel has bed bugs. I booked a room for two nights, November 5 & 6th. During my check in I over hear the maintenance man talking with the the lady at the front desk that they had bed bugs and not to put anyone in rooms 312 & 314. They wouldn't let me in to the room until 3. We went to lunch and I decided to cancel, I wasn't going to have bed bugs crawling all over me and bringing them home. I was told through Hotels.com that I would have to pay for Friday night but would be refunded for Saturday night. I have yet to see my refund for the second night. Stayed here for work. Rarely did they clean the room, in fact, checked out and came back from the weekend and given the same room which they hadn't bothered to clean at all. The trash in the trash can was still there, beds unmade and no fresh linen. The key cards often didn't work, requiring repeat trips to the front desk. Would give it no stars if the app would let you. If you're looking for a budget hotel go to the days inn. It's much cleaner and a better location for about the same price. read more

1) I made my reservation online and called to ask for a specific room. I was told it wasn't a problem. Upon arrival I was put on a different floor on the opposite side of the building. The manager was the one who said I would get the room I asked for. If it wasn't guaranteed then she shouldn't have told me it wasn't a problem. 2) I went down for breakfast and there was still an hour left of breakfast but next to nothing was available for guests. Their waffle mix was completely empty (I personally checked the bins that held the mix), they were out of yogurt, the biscuits for the biscuits and gravy were terribly stale, so you really only had a choice of hot or cold cereal. The gal at the front desk seemed oblivious to this fact. 3) The rooms still have no where to plug in your electronics. The only reason I stayed at this hotel was out of loyalty. I stayed because I used to work there. It was never perfect but it really seems to have gone down hill even further. Look beyond the Guesthouse for your lodging needs. Had to purchase a fan to blow OUT the smell. Slept with my window open to help exhaust the smell. A pub is downstairs, yes we had non smoking but we had to find our way thru the smoke to get to the freight like elevator. Bed was 1980's hotel style. Pillows were like flat rocks. I went with my daughters Little League All Stars team. Our group decided not to stay after checking in. House keeping stole several items from me and my 10yr old daughter!!! Who the heck steals from a child? Well the crack head house keepers, that's who! They stole my purse, thank GOD I took out my wallet and my WEDDING RING! I was so swollen from being so hot, but I swear my guardian angel tapped on my should that next morning and reminded me to put that ring back on. They also stole a nice pair of my shoes, Teva's. Several items of make-up (EW) and my daughters Bath and Body works lotions and sprays. That's only what I've discovered so far. They had time to go through our bags. Sick people. They were kind enough to leave a box fan in the room to put by the balcony door... if you were comfortable with the fact that you share your balcony with the room next to you and whomever was staying there had access to your room, if you chose to use the box fan and open the balcony door to cool off...the pool closed to the guests after 10 but became a party for employees and friends after that... the parking is terrible, no space, poorly lit...the elevator smelled of hot oil and seemed like it was in desperate need of attention... and the stairs were only "fire escape " all in all this place was a joke... as well as charging over $200 for the room (2 nights)... better then sleeping in your car but a far cry from adequate for the price. read more

I'm not sure when the last time the floor in the bathroom was mopped. There was no screen on the window. The AC smelled. He motel is maybe 100 feet from the train tracks -- heard that all night. The bed felt like we would fall through it at any minute. The night continued with the loud drunk 3am guests that yelled down the hallway and slammed their doors. We checked in. The young lady was nice and courteous. The room looked nice. It smelled like a smoking room but had the no smoking sign on the door. As i am winding down getting ready to sleep, cars pass by and honk. ANNOYING!! Then we got into bed. The bed was broken! They changed us to another room. This room stunk! I walked in - my nose, throat and eyes started burning immediately. Finally the lady came in and moved is to a 3rd room. A different lady-nice again but 3 rooms in a night...really?!!
