White Top Cab is the reason why ride share services such as Uber and Lyft are destroying local cab companies. Prior to my ride, the driver would not accept credit card as payment. It wasn't until I got to my destination until he demanded cash. I had to go into the store and request for cash back! This cab company's credit card machine did not work. As a result, he should have processed a manual receipt which he didn't have any of. Instead he wrote my full credit card number, expiration and 3 digit code on a scrap piece of paper. When I asked for the paper he wrote the number on, he refused. When I called to complain to the dispatch office, he "assured" me that everything would be fine. Sketchy Operation. I'll be calling Yellow/Red Cab instead from now on. read more

The person operating the phones told me to "f*** off" after I asked for a cab and told him that he was not being very nice (which he was not). He then hung up on me. I proceeded to call back. He hung up on me directly again (no conversation whatsoever). He then picked up when I called back a third time, but this time I asked to speak to his manager. He refused to give me his name or his manager's information. The guy even lied to me and told me that he had not hung up on me and then lied to my face about hanging up on me. He then hung up on me again. I was completely sober, having not had more than a couple drinks through out the entire evening and having waited more than 3 hours and many glasses of water and food later to call a cab after said two drinks. While this guy was likely dealing with incredibly rude and drunk customers, I was not one of them. The guy was RIDICULOUS. I am so annoyed, I am creating an account just to give this company a bad rating every place that I can. And needless to say, I am following up on Monday to make sure that this guy loses his job. Reliable, ish! I needed a 5am car for an early flight. I got a message a few minutes before my taxi was supposed to arrive saying they didn't have any cars in the area and had gotten one from another company. So 5 stars for taking care of the customer! Minus a star since this other car was 10 mins late. I appreciated the text system where you could check how far away your car was-- a load off if you're wondering if your car is even coming. If desperate (no cars I can book through apps) I may use these folks again. read more

I called for a 4:00PM pick up and the representative confirmed a taxi was available. I asked three times to be sure, "Are you certain you have a cab available for 4:00?" The answer was "yes, we do." At 4:00, the time I was supposed to be picked up, White cab called and told me they couldn't get me a cab, but had called Red Top for me. I called Red Top. They did not have a cab available. When I called White Top back, and spoke with the manager, :Syed", he said they do not always have cabs available. It did not seem to bother him that his representative had lied to me. Eventually I got to my appointment by Yellow Cab, (whom Red top called for me,) but I was very late. If I had been going to the airport I would have missed my flight. If anyone knows of a reliable taxi cab service, I would love to know! Meanwhile, don't call White cab! read more

I took it from the metro station home and because he didn't know the address he put it in his GPS. On the way once I realized where we were I asked if he minded if I gave him directions the rest of the way, since I know back roads and he snapped at me saying the GPS was taking us there. Then, when we arrived, he sits in the and lets the meter go until I give him the money. Upon receipt THEN does he turn off the meter, trying to squeeze every second out of the meter. I told him how much I wanted back including his tip since I have luggage in the trunk. He takes the money and the tip, and sits in the car and makes me get the luggage out of the trunk myself. Hey a**hole what do you think your tip was for? Not for driving me home, because that's YOUR JOB. NEVER taking this cab company EVER again. Horrible experience all around read more

I hate to leave a bad comment on something. Personally I'm a very relax person but every time I ride white top , mostly on Sunday night and I've got bad experiences and services. The drivers (three drivers that I tried so far ) are very rude. They would make angry face at you when you don't have cash and that old-fashioned credit card machine should be cancelled. I could have asked their names so the company can really do something. I have never been this mad. I don't even want to give a star but I'm sure there are some nice drivers out there but in my case I need to speak out.b read more

I do not have a car so I use taxis frequently. Especially pick up at Vienna metro. Whenever i need to be picked up there i hope that I will be lucky enough to be picked up by Mr Nasir! H11727. He is such a warm, delightful person, his cab is spotless, and the conversation very interesting! He brightens my day every time I have the pleasure of getting a ride from him. My son and I took the train to DC this weekend for a concert at GMU. Thought it would be easier to get cabs around Fairfax. This company of the 3 we used or attempted to use was by far, way, way, way better than others. Next time will likely drive but this company saved us. Courteous on the phone, showed up exactly when said, nice small Hondas and Toyota. At one point we were stuck near Patriot Center waiting over an hour for Red Top, and 30" for Yellow Cab, when finally called this company - came in 20" as promised. I called this company from a recommendation by another cab company that was experiencing high call volume. I needed them to drop a client off at the metro station that was only two miles away. I called Fairfax White Top Cab Co and told them that I needed them to call me to let me know when the driver was at at the pickup location. They said that that was not a problem......after waiting 45 minutes for a pickup I decided to call them and see what the deal was. "A driver already came and left because no one was outside!" That's what the dispatcher told me. Did they call? No. Round two: I made another pickup request (for the woman that is still waiting for her cab in my lobby). After telling the dispatcher the address and the phone number (and how critical it was that they give me a call when arriving) I ask for her to read back the information. The cab company has written down the wrong address!! I even made sure to speak slowly and clearly. Good thing I asked for clarification. We waited for another 40 or so minutes before I called the company back and asked for the cab's ETA. FWTCC: Oh, uh, he's there ma'am. Me: Did he call? FWTCC: Yes we called. It went to voice mail. Me: Did you leave a message? FWTCC: No we did not. Me: I know that didn't happen because I was at my desk the whole time, and I am the "voice mail'. Okay, second, if you did call, and DID reach a voice mail, you should have left a message. *Silence* Your passenger is on her way down. It doesn't make financial sense to have a driver come twice to not pickup a passenger, and then lie to their customers. read more

I have tried the number shown on the site 3 times and it does not go through to the company. it is an automated system that tries to get me to hit 1 to win a gift card and it will "only cost 1.95". Im not sure who is responsible but this is a claimed business that clearly is not working correctly. read more
